Egna märkesvaror i dagligvaruhandeln : - En studie om hur egna märkesvaror påverkar konsumentens impulsköp

The thesis concerns itself with studying the effects private brands has on the consumer?s impulse buying in the grocery industry, as in degree of unplanned spending and the selection process between manufacturer brands and private brands when such a purchase is performed. The study?s methodology is characterised by a qualitative approach, whereby the study acknowledges the inductive approach towards the empirical setting even though the Mehrabian-Russell model along with motivational theories serve as highlighters of relevant aspects in the empirical field. The study concludes that both the utilitarian and the hedonic consumer decide what to buy before entering the store, whereby a low degree of needs arise in the store.

Utvärdering och åtgärdsförslag av energianvändning i kontorsbyggnad

AbstractEmbla 5 is an office building which has done a large improvement. The clients of this building has made an order of WSP and the student Anders Kempe to calculate the use of energy for the building, and after that result proposing further measures which can decrease the energy use of Embla 5.The ground for this report is when calculation of the present energy use of the building is stated. To make that information of a number of parameters such as envelope, the heating system and ventilation has been located and set in to the simulation program IDA ICE which calculate the energy use.To improve the energy use further this project has been concentrated to change the system of ventilation. Today the ventilation system is of the kind CAV (constant air volume) and the air flow is dimensioned for after recommendations from BBR and Arbetsmiljöverket in the office spaces. Consider that Embla 5  is an office building where the people only staying for 8-10 hours/day so was the ide to see how much energy saving if the air flow is reduced the time people not being in the building.

VD-byte : En studie av aktiekursens förändringar och rörelseresultat för företag som har genomfört ett vd-byte ur ett genusperspektiv

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att med statistiska mått undersöka om företags aktiekurs reagerar på ett vd-byte samt se hur ledarskap påverkar företagets rörelseresultat ur ett genusperspektiv. Metod: Undersökningen är en eventstudie som innefattar åtta stycken företag. Eventstudiens estimeringsfönster omfattar 56 dagar innan eventfönstrets 29 dagar, där aktiekursens rörelse undersöks. Varje företags enskilda procentuella förändring i rörelseresultatet kommer att studeras två år innan och två år efter ett vd-byte har inträffat.Teori: Undersökningen utgår från effektiva marknadshypotesen, agentteorin och signalteorin.Empiri: Resultaten för aktiekursens abnormala genomsnittliga avkastning (AAR) och den kumulativa genomsnittliga avkastningen (CAAR) visas i diagram, detsamma gäller för företagens procentuella förändring i rörelseresultatet. En jämförelse dras mellan företag som har genomfört ett kvinnligt vd-byte mot företag som har genomfört ett manligt vd-byte.Slutsats:Aktiekursen för företag som har genomfört ett kvinnligt vd-byte har cirka 10 procent högre förändring i AAR än för företag som har genomfört ett manligt vd-byte.Aktiekursens lutning på CAAR för företag med en kvinnlig vd är starkare än för företag där det har skett ett manligt vd-byte.

This report is a documentation of a Master?s thesis of 20 credits performed at the educational program of Technical Product- and Production Development with Design at Halmstad University. The project is carried out in cooperation with Hafa AB in Halmstad.The purpose of this project was to bring forth a concept of a bathroom cabinet for Hafa?s new selection Young through creative design methods. The selection is supposed to attract the younger purchaser but also a target group that dare to experiment with home furnishing and appreciates new design.

Further, our intension is to divide the stock market into three segments by company size, in terms of market capitalization, to control for size effects. Method:We have conducted this study by analyzing Swedish stock data in the period of 1989-2007. Within this time span, using overlapping formation periods, we have constructed two types of portfolios, winner portfolios and looser portfolios. The portfolios represent the 30 per cent best performing respectively worst performing stocks in terms of returns.

Background: In the past 10 years private label has increased significantly in the Swedish grocery market. This is an important strategic event, which is a great challenge to suppliers as it causes stiff competition. To handle this situation an increasing number of suppliers have to make the decision whether to produce private label or not.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find and analyse factors that influence suppliers in the Swedish grocery market to produce private label. On this basis we intend to confirm or develop existing theories within the field of study.Research method: The study has a qualitative approach where empirical data has been gathered through interviews with suppliers and retailers in the Swedish grocery market.Results: This study has identified factors that underlie suppliers? decision to produce private label.

AbstractThe future of ethanol is depending on good solutions for the production. ENA energy power plant produces electrical power and district heating by heating biofuel. By building an integrated bioenergy plant surplus steam could be used to produce ethanol as fuel to vehicle.This would mean that ethanol is produced renewable energy and the energy for the process derives from the surplus of power.  ENA energy, MDH (the University of Mälardalen) and the energy authority has initiated a research project were different bioenergy combinations integrate with existing power plant.  As a part of the project which size an integrated factory should be to gain the best efficiency for the plant was investigated. Consideration will be taken to the cost of the production in order to be competitive to the price of imported ethanol.  Etanolens framtid vilar på bra lösningar för framställning.  I ENA energi kraftverk i Enköping produceras el och fjärrvärme genom eldning av biobränsle.  Genom att bygga ett integrerat bioenergikraftverk där skulle man kunna använda överskottsånga till att framställa etanol som fordonsbränsle.

Den svenska försäkringsbranschen är gigantisk och det finns över 400 försäkringsbolag att välja mellan. Detta leder till hård konkurrens inom branschen, och försäkringsbolagen tvingas slåss om kunderna.Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera vilka försäkringsrelevanta faktorer som kan förklara försäkringstagares val av försäkringsbolag. Uppsatsen bygger på kvantitativ metod och en positivistisk infallsvinkel med en deduktiv ansats används.Uppsatsen indikerar att följande faktorer har positiv påverkan på försäkringstagare i valet av försäkringsbolag: Lågt pris på försäkringstjänsten, hög kvalitet på försäkringstjänsten, bra försäkringspersonal, lättåtkomligheten, starkt varumärke och banktjänstemäns påverkanEn medveten avgränsning som gjorts är att enbart fokusera på svenska privatpersoner, vilket lämnar utrymme för liknande forskning i ett globalt perspektiv. Ett förslag på fortsatt forskning är därför att analysera vilka faktorer som förklarar företags val av försäkringsbolag.Forskningen har varit begränsad inom försäkringsbranschen, såväl nationellt som internationellt. This thesis aims to investigate the voting premium for companies differentiating voting rights between share classes on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The voting premium represents the value of a vote attached to the share. The voting premium can be estimated from the price premium between two listed share classes with differentiated voting rights. Rydqvist's dissertation (1987) serves as a model for this study which investigates whether the theory of the so called "oceanic games", along with a proxy variable for cost of control, can predict the voting premium during 2010-2012. To the original model developed by Rydqvist, control variables for differences in liquidity between share classes are added to investigate for an increase in the explanatory power.

Kundtillfredsställelse : bland köp- och säljkunder i samarbete med LRF Konsult

The purpose of this thesis was, on the mission of LRF Konsult Södra marknadsområdet, to research on why their customers were satisfied and/or dissatisfied. The research was performed in two segments: customers that had joined the company through acquisitions of other accounting firms and customers that had been in contact with LRF Konsult?s personal sellers.To be able to find the answer to our purpose we chose to do a qualitative study. Five interviews were performed with customers in southern Sweden, Skåne and Halland, to get their personal view of the service and of their relation to LRF Konsult and their contact person.The theories suggested that the satisfaction of the customers would increase depending on their relation with LRF Konsult and their contact person. Our research concluded the relation differed for each customer and that it was of great importance that the contact person at LRF Konsult understood and adapted the relation to what the customer wanted.

Through the rulings RÅ 2010 ref. 11, HFD 2011 ref. 75 and HFD 2011 not 88 the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court have extended the concept of same or similar activities which can be found in section 57, clause 4 of the Swedish Income Tax Act. Through the ruling the Court has partly clarified the application area of the regulation but question marks still remains.In the statutory text there is no definition of what shall be regarded as same or similar activity and the preparatory work does not give any further direction on how the concept should be interpreted. Ever since the amendment in 1995 the general view has been that activities can be transferred between different companies without affecting the waiting period in the company of origin.
