The use of chainsaws in both private forestry and commercial companies is highly associated with personal injuries and accidents with deadly outcome. As a result to this, a driver?s license for chainsaws was presented in the year 2005. To get the license you have to attend a course given by the Swedish Forest Agency or one of several private educators. This study is an evaluation of one course given by the Swedish Forest Agency in Uppsala.

Denna forskningsöversikt handlar om preventiva åtgärder mot grövre våld i skolan i allmänhet och skolskjutningar i synnerhet. Studien behandlar vilka åtgärder som skapats mot grövre våld samt hur effektiva de är. Den behandlar även till viss del modeller för att förhindra skolskjutningar. Många drabbas av social ångest. Vikt och kroppsuppfattning relaterar till social ångest men sambandet behöver tydliggöras. Syftet med studien var att se hur mycket av variationen i social ångest över tid som kan förklaras av vikt-, och kroppsrelaterade mått, samt undersöka könsskillnader. Studien var longitudinell och baserades på en enkätundersökning vid två insamlingstillfällen med ett års mellanrum (N=361). Resultatet visade att upplevd övervikt, felaktigt upplevd övervikt, kön och kroppsnöjdhet tillsammans förklarade 7 % av variationen i social ångest över tid.

The purpose of this research is to examine the implications of the provisions in the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance (the Code) concerning auditor attestation of the internal control report. We will focus on how the auditors? augmented responsibilities will affect the efficiency in the audit process.Our research indicates that the main benefit from reviewing the internal control report is achieving more reliable internal controls, which results in greater prevention of misstatements in the financial statements. This will affect the efficiency in the audit process since the auditor can place more reliance on internal controls when performing audit procedures. This implies that the benefits of preventing misstatements could outweigh the efforts and resources spent on reviewing the internal control report..

I norra London startade, den sjätte augusti 2011, ett av de största upploppen i modern tid. Syftet med denna teoretiska uppsats är att - inspirerat av londonupploppen - diskutera olika teoretiska sätt att förklara och förstå händelserna ifråga, med särskild fokus på relationen mellan strukturellt och direkt våld. Styrande teman är socialt utanförskap, skam och vanmakt. Analysen indikerar att det sociala utanförskap som strukturellt våld och relativ deprivation skapar är grogrunden för vanmakt och skam ? två känslor som är intimt förknippade med direkt våld.

I S:t Vincentdeklarationen som tagits fram av världshälsoorganisationen finns ett mål att antalet amputationer som orsakas av diabetesfot ska halveras. Att praktisera en god behandlingsregim kan förhindra progression av sår och därmed en minskad risk för amputation. Denna litteraturöversikt syftar till att utreda vilka icke konventionella behandlingsmetoder och preventionsåtgärder som finns för sår på diabetesfot. Resultatets elva artiklar behandlar dessa områden och visar på olika metoder som kan vidtas, såsom NpHSS, Tretinoin, Citoprot- P®, elektrisk stimulering, larvterapi, vacuum kompression, hyperbariskt syre, tryckavlastande förband, C- peptid, temperaturmätning och PFC- strumpa.

The aim for this thesis is to illuminate expectations and conceptions of senior housing from an individual perspective of seniors and how senior housing is put in relation to the process of ageing. Safety, community and accessibility are main notions for the seniors and therefore also in this essay. The method used for writing, analysing and interviewing is Grounded theory, with basis from social constructionism. Theoretical background comes from theories developed in social gerontology and gerotranscendence. These theories helps to give perspective to the analysis of the interviews.

Nation building is vital in post-war states to bring the people that have been at war together. To restore peace in a state, many different actors need to work together to bring stability, safety, and advancement to a new nation. There are several methods of nation building, and this thesis evolves around three of them. This is a qualitative study where three theories on nation building are used to analyze the development of nation building, and the obstacles Bosnia and Herzegovina still has to reach a national identity. Several studies are used in this thesis to show how the development has evolved in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This master thesis investigates how the county administrative boards communicate the regional risk and vulnerability analyses to municipalities in Sweden. Information has been gathered through a survey and through a case study involving three county administrative boards. The results revealed that there are possibilities to improve or develop the communication in all the county administrative boards. The information channels are often written or web based, these channels promote one way communication rather than a dialog. The thesis gives suggestion on how to work out a strategy for a more effective communication, the case study also gives ideas on how a county administrative board can work with communication..

The aim of this study is to examine the religious landscape of Brazil, and based on the theory of secularization by Pippa Norris and Ronald Inglehart to explain why Brazilians are religious and not secular. The study is a secondary analysis that uses existing statistics to examine different units of analysis of Brazil?s religious landscape, economics and equality, etc. Based on their theory I find that Brazil is still religious due to the lack of security in the country. Brazil is insecure in terms of measures of socioeconomic equality, stable politics without corruption, and physical safety of the citizens in Brazil.

Sigill Quality Systems has been certifying beef since the autumn of 2006 using the brand name label Swedish Sigill. IP Sigill (the certifying system for integrated production) encompasses the values: animal ethics, food safety, free range and environmental concerns. Product quality is not yet one of these values, and there is a variation in the quality of Swedish beef. Swedish Sigill wanted to investigate the factors that influence product quality, review which of the present regulations that have an influence on product quality and formulate new regulations with the purpose of enhancing the product quality (sensorial, technological and nutritional quality). A survey of quality parameters and factors that influence product quality was done in order to establish a scientific foundation to work from.

Denna uppsats redogör för hur sociologin samt svensk självmordsprevention konstruerar självmord som problem. För att ringa in detta har socialkonstruktionistiska teorier om sociala problem och förklaringar använts. Dessa teorier har i analysen applicerats på ett varierande material bestående av sociologisk litteratur samt intresseföreningar, socialpolitiska åtgärder och dokument som hör till dessa. Resultaten av denna studie har visat att självmord som avvikande handling ofta är i behov av förklaring. Dessutom framgår det att sociologin koncentrerat sig på självmord som teoretiskt problem vilket medfört konsekvensen att lösningar till stor del uteblivit.

Ett flygsäkerhetsarbete bygger på ett förtroende mellan individen och organisationen. Det finns en brist inom Försvarsmakten rapporteringssystem, där fördelningen av rapporter med avseende på mänskliga misstag, är avvikande från vad som anses som normalt inom flygverksamhet. Varför avviker rapporteringen i FM från normalbilden? Ett perspektiv som kan förklara denna avvikelse är rättvisekulturperspektivet.Syftet är att diskutera huruvida den ojämna fördelningen av avvikelserapporter med avseende på mänskliga misstag i FM flygsäkerhetsarbete kan förklaras ur ett just culture perspektiv med fokus på regler och styrdokument .Resultatet är att FM inte är att anse som en rättvisekultur. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the organizational buying behaviour in the purchase of travels abroad. We have conducted a case study of two companies, one medium sized and one larger. Our empirical studies have shown that the companies? buying process is divided into two types, the process of recruit a new travel supplier and the process of a straight rebuy of a regular travel service. In the recruiting process we found that the evaluation process of the purchase is an ongoing process that contradicts estab-lished theories.

The purpose of this report was to investigate what characterizes a good psychosocialwork environment, and whether it may have impact on a vessel's safe voyage. Thisreport is proposed to increase the understanding of what creates a good psychosocialwork environment and its potential effect on safety at sea. In order to find out thesuccess factors for a good work environment group interviews were conducted in socalledunstructured focus groups. During these conversations, the participants discussedfreely by the question "what is a good psychosocial work environment for you?? Thesuccess factors were thereafter applied on selected accident reports, to investigate theextent to which they were represented and taken into account.The results of the study show three categories of factors: colleagues, communicationand competence, where colleagues are the main contribution to a good psychosocialwork environment.
