This Master thesis is about how to involve young people in a creative process. The aim is to see what methods can be applied to make them reach the kind of knowledge they need to be able to contribute to the creation of a memorial place. Issues such as if a place that displays death has a right to exist in an urban environment or why young people should be involved in the creative process are brought up and discussed in this thesis.The memorial place that the young people contribute to is unique, in some sense, due to it not commemorating any special event or person. The purpose of the memorial is rather to serve the public when larger catastrophes occur or to serve individuals who do not have a grave they can visit to commemorate their loved ones. The idea is to place the memorial in an urban setting in the city of Borås.In this thesis the process that the young people participate in is reported in a form similar to a diary where the reader can follow the developments of the young participants, from how they gain knowledge to how they develop their ideas.

Knowledge in reproduction in the Swedish lynx (Lynx lynx) is important forseveral reasons. Situated on top of the food chain, lynxes may be at risk of beingexposed to environmental toxins that could have adverse effect on reproduction.The population of lynxes is today managed by restricted hunting which demandsknowledge about both the lynxes numbers and their reproduction. In addition,lynxes may function as indicators of climate change for instance if their season ofheat would be earlier or prolonged due to a warmer climate. Today?s knowledgein reproduction in Swedish lynx is mainly based on information gathered fromradio collared animals.

I takt med att fotbollsklubbarna i Europa utvecklats och fått allt större ekonomier ökar även deras behov av kapital. Under den senaste femtonårsperioden har allt fler klubbar sökt sig till den publika aktiemarknaden för att skaffa kapital. Eftersom detta är en relativt ny företeelse finns det många outforskade delar att studera. Därför har vi valt att inrikta vår studie mot frågeställningen: Finns det ett samband mellan ett fotbollslags framgång och dess aktiekurs?Genom vårt syfte har vi begränsat oss till att studera Europacupmatcher, vilket betyder att det är turneringarna Champions League och UEFA cupen som vi kommer undersöka.

Previous research has shown that the market reacts on stock recommendations. As the Internet has made financial information more available and cheaper to assess one could believe that the market reflects more available information today. If this is true the market will react less on recommendation made by journalists, which generally consists of processed public information. The stock market should thus be more efficient according to the efficient market hypothesis. This study examines initially if we can conclude that stock recommendations made by journalists generate returns above the expected returns, hence abnormal returns.

Redan 1899 skrev Woodworth om iakttagelser av effekten av visuell feedback på rörelser. Sedan dess har ett stort antal studier berört ämnet och studerat effekterna de medför. Denna studie anser att det finns brister i kunskapen om visuell feedbacks effekter inom vardaglig användning. Genom att låta deltagare använda och utvärdera instanser av en bokningsplattform för biljetter till ett event har studien observerat användarens upplevelse och effektivitet under processen.Den insamlade datan analyserades via variansanalys men lyckas inte avfärda nollhypotesen. Studiens resultat visade ingen korrelation mellan närvaron av visuell feedback på hover-funktionen och användarens effektivitet och upplevelse.

The conflict in Aceh had been going on for 30 years time, but ended after a tsunami hit the area in 2004. The impact the natural catastrophe had on the conflict was that both GAM and the Indonesian government was brought together with the intent of reaching a peace agreement. The authors to this thesis paper ask the question of why it became peace after such long time of war, but also if rational choice theory can explain this event. The answer to the first question is that the tsunami was the main reason to why it became peace. As to the second question, the conclusion would be that, depending on which view of human nature one has, rational choice theory can only answer the question if cultural, religious and emotional factors are disregarded.

Syfte: Uppsatsen syfte är att klargöra och analysera reporäntans ränteförändringars påverkan på aktiekurserna för samtliga svenska banker i large cap på Stockholmsbörsen.Metod: Kvantitativa händelsestudier har gjorts med deduktiv forskningsansats på fyra företag, samtliga noterade på Stockholmsbörsen. Den onormala avkastningen för de undersökta aktiekurserna har beräknats en dag före till en dag efter samtliga realiseringar av reporänteförändringar som skett mellan åren 2004 till 2015. Teori: Den teoretiska referensramen för studien består av den effektiva marknadshypotesen och överreaktionshypotesen.Slutsatser: Studien har påvisat att det råder signifikant samband mellan ränteförändringar och de studerade aktiernas avkastning vid realisering av ränteförändringarna..

Den här studien studerar crowdfunding och musikfestivaler och hur dessa kan kombineras. Syftet är att utifrån ett upplevelseproduktionsperspektiv teoretiskt beskriva den nya modellen för crowdfundade festivaler som U x U Festival utvecklat. För att uppnå syftet kommer jag att besvara följande frågor: Vad innebär en crowdfundad festival (U x U Festival)? Hur kan en crowdfundad festival beskrivas utifrån ett upplevelseproduktionsteoretiskt perspektiv? Hur kan en teoretisk modell se ut för en crowdfundad festival?Mina resultat visar att crowdfunding kan vara en mycket bra finansieringslösning för festivaler och kulturarrangemang som vid större produktioner tvingas ta stora ekonomiska risker om inte biljettförsäljning, väder och konkurrerande event faller väl ut. Crowdfunding kan, genom att tidigarelägga delar av intäkterna för biljettförsäljningen åtta till nio månader före festivalen hjälpa festivaler att differentiera sig och även skala storleken på festivalen efter den tidigarelagda biljettförsäljningen.

This Master thesis aims to study the relation between Swedish governmental cultural policy and cultural events at two Swedish public libraries. The Masters thesis demonstrates how national cultural policy regulates every part of the public library. This demonstration is a result based upon national cultural policy documents and interviews with employees at two public libraries in Sweden. The conclusion that national cultural policy regulates this part of the public library is drawn with help of the circle of culture as applied in Culture Studies and Michel Foucault theories of power. The thesis contains the answer of four questions, two involving cultural policy and the other two events at the library.

Dessa bieffekter är en av de ledande anledningarna till dödsfall i de flesta länder. Upp till 60 % av läkemedelsrelaterade problem skulle kunna undvikas. The purpose of this master thesis is to evaluate how internal vehicle information inScania buses and trucks can be used for evaluation of driver performance regardingfuel economy, vehicle wear, traffic safety, emissions and cargo damage. To someextent it was examined whether this information could be used for training the driverto a better driving style. In addition, a prototype for such a system was developed.By first defining what distinguishes a talented driver and how he/she differs from apoor driver, followed by a study of the internal vehicle communication, a system thatin real-time gathers and interprets vehicle data could be developed.The resulting system can with reasonably high reliability detect a number of trafficevents (such as braking, lane changing or hilltops). At each such event, the driver?sbehaviour can be evaluated.

Den data som insamlats är av deduktiv karaktär samt av både sekundär och primär art. Sekundärdata genom en litteraturstudie och primärdata genom intervjuer.Slutsatser: Genom engagerad och kunnig personal som levererar hög kvalitet på tjänsterna som kommunikation- och eventbyråerna tillhandahåller har de fått rekommendationer som lett till vidare uppdrag och ett gediget nätverk..

In 2003 the deciding political council in Bromölla municipality requested that an overhaul on the committee and public administration structure should be conducted. In the report Bromölla was characterized as a traditional organization with a low degree of change. This case study will examine why the organization previously has been reluctant to change its structure and why they are willing to do so now. In the pursuit of this objective I conducted document studies, interviews and observations. I have used theories on, institutional change and organizational culture to enlighten this.My findings shows that the traditionalists within the organization has greatly affected this reluctance towards change, in the deciding council 39 % of the representatives are 60 years or older.

Sveriges Radio stores their data in large archives which makes it hard to retrieve specific information. The sheer size of the archives makes retrieving information about a specific event difficult and causes a big problem. To solve this problem a more consistent use of metadata is needed. This resulted in an investigation about metadata and keyword genera-tion.The appointed task was to automatically generate keywords from transcribed radio shows. This included an investigation of which systems and algorithms that can be used to generate keywords, based on previous works.
