This report aims to provide an insight into the particle physics of today, and into the research that goes on within the field. The focus is partly on the recent discovery of the Higgs boson, and partly on how software can be used to simulate processes in particle accelerators. Basic concepts of particle physics and the search for the Higgs boson are discussed, and experimental results, including those from the Large Hadron Collider, are compared with simulations made in MadGraph 5. Furthermore, simple new models of particle physics are created in FeynRules, in order to make simulations based on the models. To support the presentations of these aspects, some of the underlying theory is built from the ground up.

Inledning: Begreppet kreativitet används inom restaurangbranschen och av massmedia som positiv egenskap hos kockar. Forskningen visar att kreativa maträtter och produkter utvecklas när kockar kommunicerar med personer från andra discipliner. Unga kockar tränas traditionsenligt att bli skickliga hantverkare för att repetera mästerkockarnas maträtter. I kocktävlingen Årets Kock uppmuntras kockar till kreativitet, maträtterna som de tävlande kockarna skapar bedöms av tidigare vinnare och mästerkockar som vill bli både överraskade och samtidigt känna igen sig.Syfte: Syftet är att belysa vad begreppet kreativitet står för inom gastronomi och matlagning, med särskild inriktning mot vad kreativitet står för som det kommer till uttryck vid bedömningen av maträtterna i kocktävlingen Årets Kock.Metod och material: Flera metoder har använts för att öka förståelsen för eventet och kocktävlingen Årets Kock. Tävlingsledningen har intervjuats och matbilderna från åren 2007 - 2012 på de vinnande maträtterna har analyserats.

Arbetet handlar om huruvida man kan få till ett meningsfullt lärande genom att använda sig av metoden PBL, problembaserat lärande, i grundskolan. Jag gör en kort presentation av lärande under 1900-talet för att därefter koncentrera mig på tre pedagoger, Marton, Säljö och Dewey. Utifrån dessa tre pedagogers syn på lärande undersöker jag PBL. Jag beskriver hur metoden PBL fungerar och hur den är uppbyggd. Mycket i PBL överensstämmer med vad Marton, Säljö och Dewey anser vara ett lärande som ger bra resultat.

The Swedish winters 2009/10 and 2010/11 were rich in snow and many roofs collapsed, mainly largespan frames. Investigations were made and the amount of snow was not the primary cause, insteadthere were several other causes. One of these was that in some cases roofs were shoveled in anunfavorable manner which affected the load patterns negatively, so causing the roofs to collapse.Most people lack the knowledge of how shoveling will affect the roof. Had there been an increasedunderstanding regarding shoveling, some roofs could have been prevented from collapsing.Through both qualitative and quantitative research in the form of interviews and calculations thetheoretically best ways to shovel a selection of roof types is presented in the report. This study examines how yoga is presented in a Swedish journal called Sökaren. Sweden is often presented as one of the most secular states in the world, and for that reason it is interesting to examine the Swedish way of religiosity by looking, in this case, at the depiction of yoga. I compare two periods of time, the first one from 1964 to 1974 and the latter from 1998 to 2008. I will thereby be able to examine tendencies and changes in the presentation of yoga. For a further understanding of the context around the elected periods this study introduces religiosity in Swedish society, such as Christianity and the New Age movement.

The aim of this essay is to investigate whether the role of the teacher and the teaching in the classroom is affected when the Ipad is introduced in an one-to-one situation, and if so how these effects occur. Previous research show that the introduction of new technology in education offers hope of a more effective way of learning but that this at the same time leads to challenges for traditional ways of teaching and traditional views on knowledge (Säljö & Linderoth (red.) 2009, Erixon (red.) 2014).The method used is a qualitative interview in combination with observations used as a complement to the interviews. Four teachers working on an upper secondary school have been interviewed and one lesson in English taught as a foreign language and one lesson in social science have been observed.The results show that the use of Ipad changes how the teachers relate to and use the teaching material, as all material can be gathered in the Ipad and accessed at all times and can also be shared with the pupils. The Ipad also makes it easier for the teachers to offer pupils individual instructions which the teachers view as positive. In addition, the Ipad enables a change in regards to the pupils as they switch from being users to becoming producers in the use of the Ipad which in the teachers? opinions offers more profound ways of learning..
