Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka likheter och skillnader kring anställdas förhållningssätt och upplevelser till deras arbete beroende på om deras yrke anses ha hög status eller låg status. I den teoretiska referensramen belyser jag relevant teori till mitt forskningsområde. Den inleds med en redogörelse för yrkesstatus och närliggande begrepp för att på en grundläggande nivå kunna förklara dess innebörd. På så sätt kan läsaren få en ökad förståelse kring forskningsområdet. Vidare presenteras tidigare forskningsresultat kring yrkesstatus.

Dagvatten bildas då regnvatten inte kan infiltrera marken på grund av hårdgjorda ytor såsom vägar och hustak. Dagvatten är ofta kontaminerat av metaller, näringsämnen och andra föroreningar och bör därför renas i en anläggning innan det når recipient. En allt populärare metod för att omhänderta dagvatten är att anlägga dagvattendammar. I dammarna renas det inkommande dagvattnet genom flera olika processer, varav sedimentation är den viktigaste. År 2006 startades projektet NOS-dagvatten (Norrortskommuner i samverkan) i syfte att erhålla ökade kunskaper om funktionerna hos fem dagvattenanläggningar i Stockholmsområdet. I detta arbete utreds sambandet mellan den kemiska vattenkvaliteten och ekosystemens hälsostatus i Ladbro- och Tibbledammen som ingår i NOS-dagvatten.

The purpose of this C-essay within the subject of religion is to form a notion as to how the attitudes towards women and their position in a theoretical biblical society might have been perceived, based upon a select number of texts from the first five books of the Bible (the Pentateuch).Since this essay was written under the framework of the teacher education programme, it is also integrated with the pedagogy subject. This manifests itself with the didactic reflection at the end of this essay, where I try to relate the subject of this essay to the teaching profession.The material, which consists of excerpts from the first and second chapters of Genesis, and aselection of the laws in the first five books of the Bible (from Genesis to Deuteronomy), wasanalysed according to an ideological model, where themes and patterns have been more important than specific word choices.The analysis showed that the views on women vary depending on who writes and who interprets a specific text extract, and the conclusion was that since laws reflect the society it is likely that they were created to improve women's status to make it as equal to the man's as possible.The didactic reflection offers suggestions for lesson plans on the themes gender, feminism andfeministic theology..

Samtidigt som jeansen har gått ifrån att vara ett arbetarplagg till en basvara i de flesta människors garderober har det även utvecklats en subkultur kring denim. Denna subkultur består av personer som ser jeans som något mer än bara ett plagg, för vilka jeansen blivit som en livsstil. Dessa konsumenter skiljer sig avsevärt ifrån den stora massan i den aspekten att de besitter en stor kunskap om jeanshistoria och konstruktion, samt konsumerar en annan typ av jeans, med fokus på kvalitet och material snarare än en trendig look. Denna studie utgår ifrån Kotler, Armstrong, Harris och Piercys (2013) modell av köpprocessen bestående av fem steg; behovsidentifiering, informationssökning, utvärdering av alternativ, köpbeslut och utvärdering efter köp. Semistrukturerade intervjuer används för att samla in data, som sedan analyseras och diskuteras utifrån teoribasen.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore pupils' motivation for participating in Physical Education. The thesis also investigates the definitions of sport and health and to what extent pupils make any connection between the school subject physical education and their own physical and health status. A semi-structured interview was carried out with thirteen upper secondary school pupils with special needs on the Individual Programme. The interviews were recorded digitally and then analyzed. The results show that there is no unified definition of the school subject among the pupils.

We have ourselves met misunderstandings about the tasks of librarians. The general opinion is that librarians are positioned behind the charging desk or are putting books on shelves. Other tasks are invisible and unknown to the public. The aim for this study is to explore the tasks that a selection of Swedish librarians does. The questions we have answered are: what do the librarians themselves claim to work with, which competences are necessary for this job, what does our study show regarding the librarian as generalist or specialist and finally; can the tasks that we find in our study help to understand the conceptions profession and status in relation to librarians.

Militära interventioner som syftar till att skydda humanitära värden har länge varit kontroversiella inom världssamfundet. Framförallt har det funnits olika uppfattningar om hur värnandet av mänskliga rättigheter ska kunna förenas med statssuveräniteten. Låsningar har ofta lett till handlingsförlamning på grund av detta. År 2001 lanserades begreppet ?Responsibility to Protect? som ett förslag till lösning på problematiken.

This essay focus on the European Union and its democracy both from a national perspec­tive and from an international perspective. Furthermore, the essay center on the con­cept of democratic deficit, this in order to study the European Union´s status regarding the democratic legitimacy. This study intends to nuance the problems that previous research and previous researchers have de­fined as democratic deficits in the European Union and ends up in conducting a textual anal­ysis of the latest European Union treaty, the Lisbon Treaty.The aim is that by using previous research on the democratic deficit in the European Union examine whether the Lisbon Treaty has enhanced the EU's position regarding democratic legitimacy. In other words, my study aims to identify what the deficit is and if it exists.The results show that the Lisbon Treaty has been trying to improve the democratic legitimacy and that some practical adjustments have been made, but it also show that there is much that still can be improved before citizens have full democratic rights..

Sexualitetens historia präglas av en stor ojämlikhet beträffande sexuellt handlingsutrymme mellan kvinnor och män. Med denna studie ämnar vi att utforska eventuella ojämlikheter mellan killar och tjejers sexuella handlingsutrymme i Sverige, världens fjärde mest jämställda land enligt World Economic Forum. Vår studie bygger på två fokusgrupper med totalt 13 deltagare i åldern 16-17 år. Empirin i vår studie har analyserats utifrån ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv. Vår studie visar att samma handlingar och beteenden som ger killar status som kungar ger tjejer stämplar som horor.

We conducted this study because a new school reform begins in 2011. Our study is in between 1960 - 2011. The survey methodology is the following; we use literature, previous studies and curricula. Rating has returned to a more equitable system. This means that the range has decreased in each grade level. Industry has been involved and affected programs and curricula. Short courses have disappeared and GY11kommer to tighten eligibility requirements. This places greater demands on schools and students. The new grading scale will be fairer to the students. The courses have been following the development of society. It is also true that businesses have had opportunities to customize programs for their purposes, so that they have professionals with the basic knowledge they need.

Den sociala kontexten inom idrotten är en viktig orsak till utövares motivation. Sociala skäl såsom känsla av tillhörighet, att vara del av ett lag och social status rapporteras som centrala anledningar till engagemang. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka motiv individer anger till sitt motionerande med fokus på de sociala aspekterna, med en jämförelse mellan könen. Studien utgår ifrån Deci och Ryans Self-Determination Theory (2000). Motiv till deltagande i motion mättes genom användandet av ?The Exercise Motivation Inventory-2?.

This essay deals with a picture-stone that was found in a pre Christian grave during the archaeological excavations of the Viking Age harbour and trading place at Fröjel parish, Gotland, in 1999. The stone is at least 100 years older then the male grave in which it was found. The picture-stone can be dated to  late 8th century or early 9th century, and the grave is probably from the late 10th century. One of the main questions in this essay is why the people of that time re-used an older picture-stone in a younger burial. I believe that the stone was reused as a grave-gift.

The reason for this study is to settle the balance between technology and preponderance in war. Each theory claims its own superiority to be decisive when it comes to achieving military victories, but this study will show what actually happens when the two theories are analyzed together in the same conflict. To prove the conclusions, a case-study on Operation Gazelle is used. The study will describe the theories, what a military victory is and which party in the conflict came out victorious after this specific operation. Both sides? forces will be shown and compared.
