The development of our time, is due to great progresses in technology and an enormous ex-plosion of knowledge, has lead to an increased effort of our attention as a result of a boundless torrent of information . Higher productivity and efficiency in our workplaces and homes crea-tes fewer opportunities for rest, leading to a community where stress has become a national disease. Recreation is an important part of our lives in order to be able to deal with stress and is now considered to be an essential resource when it comes to sustainable development. Green spaces are therefore today viewed to play a considerable roll for the national health. Nature has proven to have positive influence on man which leads to a decrease in blood pressure, an increase in power of concentration and lowered production of stress hormones.

The comprehensive goal in this study was to examine important factors in an introduction of a new machine team. The aim was to identify what elements should be part of an introduction program for new machine team. The examination was done together with Stora Enso Skog. A new machine team and their supervisors where analyzed during a six month period. The evaluation was done with open interviews of the team members and their supervisors. The main question was what should be included in an introduction program to develop a successful machine team as effective as possible? Interviews of the new team and analyses gave good indications how the procedure should be done.

ABB Surge Arrestors in Ludvika have for a long time had a problem to keep the moisture at a steady state in the production of their ZnO-powder, that is used to produce varistors.Some black-box models of the spray drying process have been designed and evaluated to find a solution for the problem. After evaluating the collected data it has been found that variations in the supply voltage causes control difficulties for the operator. A cascade control system was designed, consisting of three PI control loops designed with lambda tuning. The disturbance in the supply voltagewas used as a feed forward in the control system.At the end of the project the control system was installed, and tests were made to verify the functionality of the regulator. It was shown that most of the variations in the moisture of the powder could be eliminated using small resources, through purchase of a process controller and four power meters.

SammanfattningI dagens krympande värld så tvingas allt fler företag ut på den internationella marknaden. Detta kan vara problematiskt för många små och medelstora företag då de saknar de resurser de behöver för att skaffa sig information om de nya marknaderna och deras kultur. Kulturen kan vara det som gör att företagen misslyckas, den kan även vara skälet till att de inte ens vågar försöka. Hofstedes modell om nationalkultur används som huvudteori i denna studie, men även fler teorier har studerats och jämförts med det empiriska materialet. De områden som studeras i huvudsak är kultur och globalisering och i uppsatsen dras paralleller mellan dessa två.   Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på vilka problem små och medelstora företag ser med kultur vid internationalisering samt hur dessa problem kan lösas.

Total mixed rations (TMR) and TMR complemented with individual grain feeding to dairy cows are a growing practice in Sweden. This is because the heard sizes of the farms are increasing. Some farmers and farm advisors in Sweden have great knowledge and practical experience of working with TMR. In the same time there are many advisors that do not know how to handle TMR and farms that have a group based feeding of their animals. In this MSc thesis, the knowledge of farmers that use TMR and advisors with lots of experience of TMR are gathered, with the aim to create a guide book for advisors that are about to start or just have started working with TMR.

I answer this question by exploring how social worker proficiency can be developed and grow with the help and support of supervisors, clients and colleagues. Development through professional supervision and in the encounter with clients is an essential part of the work. I also discuss what it means to be new in the field (a novice) in relation to being experienced (a master).

This essays main focus will be on emergency shelters in disasters, and their understanding in gender awareness, by focusing on the way gender is constructed and seen. This dissertation will examine documents from Australian Red Cross and IASC (Inter Agency Standing Committee) in order to explore how they work with gender and shelter related issues. The objective is to examine and with help from these documents see how gender is constructed. The method and theory is based on Carol Bacchis; What?s the problem represented to be approach? (WPR-approach).

Syftet med detta arbete är att söka ta reda på vilka problem och svårigheterutlandsadopterade barn kan ha och varför de utvecklar dessa problem samt försöka ta reda på dessa barns specifika behov i skolan. Arbetet inleds med en litteraturstudie som beskriver hur det har sett ut med adoptioner från början av 1900-talet fram till idag. Därefter följer en beskrivning av adoptivbarnens specifika problem och svårigheter och varför de utvecklar dessa. För att få en inblick i hur adopterade själva ser på sin situation innehåller arbetet intervjuer med tre vuxna adopterade. I diskussionen går att läsa vilka slutsatser som kan dras av arbetet.

Under vårt sista år var vi intresserade av att ta reda på de problem som vi kan stöta på i våra yrkesroller som fartygsingenjörer. Arbetet tar upp de tekniska problem som uppstår p.g.a. de allt strängare kraven på minskade svavelutsläpp från fartyg. De tekniska problemen härstammar från de olika bränslekvaliteternas vitt skilda egenskaper. Som svar på dessa problem har det utvecklats tekniska lösningar varav två stycken har tagits upp i detta arbete.För att ta reda på vilka tekniska problem som kan uppstå tog vi del av den berörda utrustningens tillverkares erfarenheter enligt empirisk modell.

User friendly and usable are two words that are often mentioned in the context of marketing new products. By doing so it adds an extra sense of quality to the product. The meaning of these words is therefore something that every product wants. But what is it that makes a product usable and user friendly? What methodology exists formaking sure that a product is usable? Does it exist applicable processes to ensure user centered development? These questions together with a practical example are parts of what will be addressed in this report.The thesis was carried out for C2 Management, a company that works with supporting other companies in their work with quality and constant improvements.

The world?s growing need for energy together with a desire to ward off the worst consequences of global climate change has resulted in a never seen desire to invest resources in renewable energy sources. Biogas production through anaerobic digestion is one of those growing energy sources. In Sweden there are over two hundred plants that uses this biological process to break down organic substances while producing carbon dioxide and the energy-rich gas methane.This master?s thesis has focused on development of the mixture of different organic substances that is treated at a specific plant, namely Mosserud biogas plant.

Detta examensarbete är en empirisk undersökning av problem med ritningsleveranser inom företaget SCF Betongelement AB i Strömsund. Rapporten behandlar organisatoriska problem samt problem som är relaterade till de allt kortare byggtider som råder i byggbranschen. För att kunna analysera resultatet av undersökningen har en litteraturstudie gjorts av förändringar i byggbranschen och organisationers utformning. Insamlandet av information har i huvudsak gjorts genom delaktighet i ett verkligt projekt i syfte att identifiera källor till problemet. Under projektets gång har intervjuer gjorts med konstruktörer och produktionsledare för att höra vilka problem de upplever i det fortlöpande arbetet.

What every theory of democracy has in common is a reference to ?a people? who are, in one way or another, collectively self-governing. Given that, surprisingly little attention has been paid to the so called boundary problem of democratic theory, or, in other words, the question of who should be included in the democratic community. Lately, the historically given boundaries have been questioned in favour of a cosmopolitan democracy. Still, little has been said about the boundary problem in general, especially from a theoretical point of view.

Denna uppsats har frågeställningen: Vilka problem kan uppstå vid en nedbrytning från strategin till operationella nyckeltal och vad kan göras för att undvika dem?Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur en nedbrytning av strategin till operationella nyckeltal går till. Framtagningen av nyckeltal ska leda till en identifiering av vilka problem som kan uppstå i denna nedbrytning samt förslag på hur de kan undvikas. Studien ska även ha till syfte att designa nyckeltal som underlättar för en uppföljning och för att besvara vad personalen ska göra för att förbättra talet, det vill säga en kommunikation nedifrån och upp och vice versa. För att genomföra denna studie har empirisk data hämtats från Carlsberg Sverige AB (CSAB) där den operationella leveransplaneringsavdelningen idag står utan nyckeltal. .

The purpose of this study was to find out what thoughts some preschool teachers had about gender andgender work. The aim was also to investigate whether preschool educational orientation had any impacton how teachers thought about gender and gender work.The scientific method for the study was qualitative research interviews. The interviews were conductedindividually with four preschool teachers from two different preschools. The first preschool was agender-oriented school and the other was a non-gender-oriented school.The results of the study show preschool teachers have good knowledge of gender and gender work andwhat they mean in preschool, and this is regardless of the pedagogical approach the preschool they?reworking for has.
