Denna uppsats syftar att undersöka samt ta fram en modell över ett system i PC Spelet Power Soccer där användaren själv kan designa sin egen hemmaarena med hjälp av ett webbgränssnitt. Arbetet inleds med en begränsad enkätundersökning där användare fick bedöma betydelsegraden av olika inslag i en fotbollsarena. Efter resultatet av denna enkät togs en modell fram i Autodesk Maya med ett modulbaserat system. Detta kompletteras med ett webbgränssnitt där användaren väljer vilka delar som han vill placera på de olika platser som erbjuds. Till sist beskrivs själva modulen och hur den ska fungera..

The assignment given to us by NCC was to compose a degree project based on ground excavations for power cables. The aim of the study was to examine suitable excavation methods depending on different possible terrain conditions. The amount of previously written material within this subject is nearly non- existent and therefore there is a genuine interest by the NCC to receive a compilation of different production methods. The greater part of this study is based upon interviews with several companies active within this area of expertise. In order to facilitate design and maintenance of such a large and complex site as a nuclear power plant, all system functions must be described in a stringent way. In the past, these descriptions consisted of text documents and logical diagrams, but today there are an increasing number of object-oriented programs available on the market which might be used for this purpose. This Master Thesis has made a closer study of one of these programs named Rational Rose. The principal of the program is to facilitate software design and development, not to create models of plants. However, using the program the same way as developing software, specifying actors then gradually extend the model with use cases, use cases diagrams etc, the same methods can be used when modelling plants.

The scope of this project is to make a comparison of costs associated with wind and nuclear power in order to decide which one of these is the most suitable in the case of an increased demand for electricity. It is also investigated if there are other factors that can influence the choice of energy source.An average cost is calculated in terms of kronor per kilowatt-hour (SEK/kWh) using cost of investment, operation & maintenance and taxes & subsidies. Total investment cost is recalculated to production cost using the annuity method at three different interest rates (6%, 9% and 12%).The comparison is made between three cases of wind power and two cases of nuclear power. For wind power there are two ocean-based (300MW and 100MW installed capacity, respectively) and one land-based (60MW) wind farm. For nuclear power there is one EPR-reactor (1600MW) and one AP1000-reactor (1100MW).

Med hjälp av den mobila miljövänlig energienhet Emergency Energy Module (EEM) kan elbehovet lindras.Detta examensarbetes mål var att ta fram en elsystemsbeskrivning för den kommande Export container (EXC), samt ta fram ett korrekt elschema för den befintliga EEM.Elsystemsbeskrivningen måste ta hänsyn till EXC:s kravspecifikation samt innehålla Bills of Material (BoM) och elschema. Problematiken ligger bl.a. i att få flera olika energikällor (sol, vind och biomassa förgasare) att fungera tillsammans i ett elsystem där likspänning, växelspänning, trefas och enfas blandas.

The Rya power plant in Borås produces district heating, district cooling and electricity. The plant is owned by Borås Energi och Miljö AB and is run by Dalkia Facility Management AB.In order to get the best heat exchange from the district hot water a pair of twin pumps and a turbine circuit pump are used as return pumps. Turbine circuit pumps are used to increase the pressure through the heat exchangers at the power plant. The pumps are in use when the flow is over 2 000 m3 h-1 and during the summer when re-cooling is used to improve the effectivens of the heat boilers.Since the pumps, that are parallel connected, rotating at a fixed rate per minute, the pressure is regulated with regulating valves. This report shows that during the 4,300 hours that the pumps where in use, energy corresponding to 590 MWh was wasted.

This thesis title starting from zero alludes to storstadssatsningen's democratic work being accomplished among immigrants in Malmö. My thesis examines which types of political participation storstadssatsningen were trying to increase. The goal was to turn the immigrants into political participants, but in many of the projects the democratic work had to focus on building a ground for democratic participation by bringing isolation to an end and teaching the Swedish language. This may have been the reason that there were not extensive forms of resources to put into projects actually raising the political awareness. Some of the projects can however be said to increase a very large number of types of political participation, both temporary and every day participation.
