The water tower in Uppsala city forest was built in the late 1950's in what is now a nature reserve. The unique place was supposed to be visited by people, which is currently not the situation. This bachelor thesis aimed to perform an analysis and make a design proposal for the environment surrounding the water tower. The analysis was performed using the methodology previously described by architect Arne Branzell. The methodology focuses on how a space is perceived by a person moving through it.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur studenter vid Grundlärarprogrammet med inriktning mot fritidshem tolkar sitt framtida uppdrag på fritidshemmet och ifall det även förändrar yrkesrollen. En förändring som kan utveckla yrkesrollen från att fokusera på omsorg till att även se en stor Potential i att undervisa. Studien är baserad på kvalitativa intervjuer med studenter som går sjätte och sista terminen på sin utbildning. Studenternas tankar har analyserats och tolkats i jämförelse med gällande styrdokument och tidigare forskning kring samverkan och yrkesidentiteter. Det är intressant att notera hur studenternas syn på uppdraget fokuserar mer på att skapa en trygg och rolig fritid snarare än att se fritidshemmet som en arena där eleverna erbjuds en fritid som är utvecklande och kan stödja dem i det lärande som förväntas ha skett i klassrummet.

This study aims to investigate expressive writing in young adolescents, based on the model constructed by J.W. Pennebaker. Qualitative analysis of written essays has been conducted, the main purpose being exploring descriptions of relationships and expressions of emotions. Further-more, the intention has also been to study eventual gender differences and their forms of expressions in the essays. The participants were seventh- and eightgraders, gathered from two schools in Sweden.

The work aims to problemize and increase the understanding for the new labour market's flexible organising. By using Elias and Scotson's theory, the new organisational form of hiring doctors in healthcare will exemplify the developments taking place with many temporary jobs and how it affects the intrinsic structure of a work to be studied. The essay will focus on examining how the interaction affected between established nurses and new temporary doctors given the new form. How the interaction of the recently established group possesses a higher social-, economic- and cultural capital than the already established working group? The method is a qualitative study with three long and deep semi-structured interviews.

Technology evolves quickly, with innovative ideas growing everywhere. Still, no technology is anywhere near challenging the mouse and keyboard for navigation of your standard computer. This study focuses on comparing the traditional technologies of mouse and keyboard with the new technology of gestures - in this case Leap Motion - in purpose of finding how the usage differs and what the Potential users want from the competing technology. The experiment was executed in a controlled environment, with as few external factors as possible. We found that although the test subjects found Leap Motion fun, the test subjects do not want to surf the web with gestures.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att klargöra om de konstskapande aktiviteterna vid Sunderby Folkhögskolas Konstskola har hälsofrämjande effekter på Konstskolans elever och hur dessa i så fall yttrar sig. En enkät baserad på en svensk version av Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) användes för att mäta individuella aktuella stressnivåer och genom semistrukturerade intervjuer söktes svar på frågorna: Vilken stressreducerande och rehabiliterande Potential har Konstskolans ordinarie utbildning? Finns det skillnader i studenternas relationer till stress, kreativitet och livskvalitet/välbefinnande idag jämfört med innan konststudierna? samt Har bakgrundsvariablerna betydelse för de studerandes stressnivå och hur de upplever och värderar stress? Resultaten visade på ett svagt negativt samband mellan stressnivå och ålder respektive omfattning av tidigare konstnärlig aktivitet. Intervjuerna bekräftade hälsofrämjande effekter av konstskapande aktiviteter i termer av utveckling av copingstrategier, kreativitet och välbefinnande..

This paper deals with challenges associated with handling scrubber waste in the port of Karlshamn and what various industry partners are doing to meet this growing demand. The main challenges have been the proportion of ships with scrubber, the amount of generated waste and waste characterisation. An understanding of these factors has been crucial in order to ascertain the aim of this study, which has been made with calculations based on leading manufacturer?s scrubber analyses and with an estimation of the quantity of ships with scrubber by examining AIS data from the Port of Karlshamn. In order to calculate the quantity of scrubber waste two different scenarios were established, which in turn produced two different outcomes.

The acts of promoting local business and implementing efforts to appear as an attractive location for Potential business are rather new activities among Swedish municipalities. The knowledge about how these activities are organised and what strategies are perused are fairly limited. Computational thinking is a problem solving method that uses computer science techniques.The thesis is analyzing computational thinking and how it could be applied to graph theory. Characteristics and main fields from computational thinking is being analysed. This is a thesis in Personal- och Arbetslivsprogrammet at Dalarna University with thepurpose of evaluating an education initiative in Borlänge kommun. The educationCoaching Leadership is an initiative for the managers in the organization to exercisegood leadership and the education also serves as an incentive for managers. Eightbusiness managers and one from the HR staff have completed the training. Out of thetotal 9 participants in the training, six of them took part in this evaluation. Based on thethesis aim and questions we wanted to explore participants' attitudes to the education,and what skills and abilities they have acquired on the basis of educational goals andcontent.

Självdrag och växter har varit rapportens största fokus som fördjupningsdel. Självdragets förmåga att klara av ventilationsflödet i en kontorsbyggnad med atrium, belägen i Stockholm har simulerats i programmet IES-ve och dess CFD-modul. Då utomhustemperaturen ligger under 12 °C fungerar självdrag enligt rekommendationerna.

Wildlife is a valuable and renewable resource that promotes economical, ecological and social values. These values are important for developing and maintaining many rural societies. However, growing ungulate populations have led to increased browsing pressure on valuable forest trees and crops. Previous studies have proposed supplementary feeding and gamefields as Potential methods for controlling the ungulate foraging and reducing browsing damage by providing other attractive food resources. However, quantitative estimates of Potential biomass production of various gamefield crops and browsing pressure on the surrounding forest have been lacking.

Jagundersöker vad utomhuspedagogik innebär ur ett didaktiskt perspektiv.Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra pedagoger, tar jag reda på hur lärareuppfattar att de använder sig av utomhusmiljön i undervisningen.Jag kommer fram till att utomhuspedagogik erbjuder unika möjligheter inomdidaktikens olika områden och har förmåga att göra en helhet av de olikadidaktiska frågorna, vad, hur och varför.
