Webbloggens aktualisering i medielandskapet har inspirerat oss till denna uppsats vilken behandlar detta nya fenomen. Främst riktas uppsatsens fokus mot att studera hur webbloggens Potential kan användas som komplement till andra kanaler som används för nyhetsförmedling och debatt i det offentliga rummet. Vidare önskar vi finna svaret på om någon demokratisk funktion för webbloggen existerar? Kan webbloggen som kommunikationskanal bidra till att skapa en deliberativ demokrati genom att inbjuda till dialog i offentligheten. Kan den information som publiceras komplettera den traditionella nyhetsförmedlingen?Till grund ligger en kvalitativ studie som bygger på fältstudier på sex bloggande journalister och deras webbloggar.

The purpose of this master thesis was to explore and develop prototypes for visualization of trade statistics in a market surveilance application. In such an anapplication a large amount of information is processed. This information is then summarized and presented to the market surveillance staff. The practical part of this thesis was done at Scila AB in Stockholm. Three prototypes were developed based on modern visualization methods.

A growing problem in Swedish herbicide free agriculture, the Canadian thistle has been the object of several new trials, seeking methods for non-chemical weed control. This essay is about the Swedish folk and troubadour singer Fred Åkerström and particularly his interpretations of the Swedish national poet Carl Michael Bellman. The aim of this work is to take the first step into a development process, with the intention to find a way of making prehistoric soil fertility a variable in archaeological landscape analysis. A pilot study is performed on the Mälar basin area, where four topographical and geological factors are reclassified and then combined, resulting in a map which expresses a relative indication of agriculture Potential. Det finns stor Potential i byggbranschen att förbättra produktionsprocessen på en arbetsplats med hjälp av nya planerings- och modelleringsverktyg. En produktionsteknologi som är särskilt intressant att studera är det platsgjutna betongbyggandet. Här utförs många olika, men sammanhängande, moment tätt på varandra och processen styr mycket av andra processer som följer efter detta skede. Det är därför viktigt att kunna planera och kontrollera byggandet med platsgjuten betong med enkla och effektiva planeringsverktyg. En relativt ny modelleringsteknik som har stor Potential att förbättra produktionsprocessen är 4D CAD.

Sedan 80-talet har inställningen till funktionsplanering av städer svängt från funktions- uppdelning till funktionsblandning.
