Detta examensarbete har utförts vid Saab Dynamics AB(SBD) i Karlskoga med syftet att studera gamla konstruktioner av set-back-generatorer. En set-back-generator (SBG) ska ge momentan energi vid utskjutning av en projektil genom att en magnet rör sig genom en spole. SBG har funnits länge men har bedömts ge för lite energi för att kunna driva elektronik. Men nya typer av magneter har potential att öka energiutbytet väsentligt.SBD har ett antal äldre SBG:er och arbetet har varit att utifrån dessa undersöka om det går att utvinna mer energi genom ett utbyte av magnet. Andra parametrar som är viktiga för en SBG:s funktion har också studerats och testats i olika konfigurationer i hopp om ytterligare förbättringar.

Att integrera IKT-verktyg i skolans verksamhet, och då specifikt interaktiva skrivtavlor, har blivit en allt vanligare företeelse för att främja elevers digitala kompetens. En kommun som har gjort en storskalig satsning på att integrera dessa interaktiva skrivtavlor är Linköpings och i dagsläget är varje klassrum i samtliga av deras grundskolor utrustade med en. Denna studie syftar till att ge en inblick i hur den satsningen har påverkat undervisningen ur ett lärarperspektiv, och då specifikt lärare i de naturvetenskapligt orienterande ämnena.Genom semistrukturerade intervjuer ämnar studien att sammanställa de förhållningssätt och erfarenheter lärare ger uttryck för gentemot de interaktiva skrivtavlorna. Studien avser att ge en uppfattning om vad lärare anser som betydelsefulla faktorer då en skola genomgår en satsning på interaktiva skrivtavlor i utbildningssyfte. Fokus ligger på begreppen möjligheter, svårigheter samt kunskaper och andra faktorer.Resultaten av denna studie visar att lärarna upplever de interaktiva skrivtavlorna som ett verktyg med potential till att ge positiva effekter i undervisningen, och på flera sätt också har det.

Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att utreda den mest fördelaktiga placeringen av ett intag av uteluft till ett ventilationssystem. Detta har gjorts med hänsyn till såvälpraktiska normer som tekniska riktlinjer för att sedan skapa en lösning med så stor energimässig och ekonomisk vinning som möjligt. Vidare undersöktes också möjligheten att använda sig av två separata luftintag i olika väderstreck för att skapa ännu mer av dessa vinster. För att skapa underlag för energimässiga och ekonomiskaberäkningar genomfördes mätningar i form av temperaturloggning runt en befintlig byggnad där fyra stycken givare placerades ut mot väderstrecken nordväst, sydväst,nordost och sydost. Även loggning av väderförhållanden gjordes med hjälp av enväderstation.

I artiklar skrivs det om att ny teknik såsom Web services kan medföra t ex förändringar i processer och sättet att överföra och hantera data. Web services anses av många vara en lösning på integrationsproblem som uppstår när data finns i olika system som inte kommunicerar med varandra. Vi som systemvetare anser att vår studie bidrar till att belysa andra aspekter än de tekniska när det gäller Web services. Vi har studerat organisatoriska konsekvenser av införandet av Web services. Studien kan inte fastställa att Web services är en bra teknik generellt för att integrera system.

Studien tog sin utgångspunkt i att äldre som möter äldreomsorgen idag är en alltmer heterogen grupp i fråga om livsstil och sexuell identitet. Trots att även gruppen äldre HBTQ- personer (homo, bi, trans, queer) är heterogen så visar forskning på att det inom gruppen finns särskilda behov när det kommer till vård och omsorg. Gruppen delar erfarenheter av att växa upp i ett homofientligt samhälle, där homosexualitet har varit både olagligt och klassat som en psykisk sjukdom. Många har upplevelser av diskriminering grundad på sexuell läggning i kontakten med vård och omsorg, erfarenheter som kan komma att påverka vidare kontakt med sektorn och därmed känslor inför äldreomsorgen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur förutsättningarna ser ut för ett integrerat HBTQ-perspektiv i äldreomsorgen genom att: 1) studera samverkan och styrning i implementeringsprocessen och 2) urskilja förutsättningar, attityder och värderingar hos tillämparna som har potential att påverka implementeringen.

Goal: To describe which evaluation method is used by Swedish retailers to assess a potential retail location and to describe to what extent the retail brand effects this strategic decision. Design: Analysis of ten interviews with companies within five retail sectors in Sweden. Main study: Indication of what methods are used to evaluate a location and how a company's retail brand affects the decision. Results: Retailers use a mix of theoretical methods to evaluate the location attributes and possible profit. Most common among mixtures was an application of the analog method, residual method or the checklist method in combination with a financial assessment.

The eutrophication of inshore seas, lakes and watercourses is mainly due to leaching of nitrogen and phosphorus (P) from agriculture. Many efforts are made to reduce the lea-kage of phosphorus in Sweden and the Baltic Sea countries. Phosphorus is also a finite resource and the mining of good quality raw material gets more and more difficult. Se-dimentation dams in combination with filters is one relatively new method to separate P from run-off and drainage water from agricultural land. This study was a part of an IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute?s project which tests the capacity and func-tion for separation of phosphorus in four phosphorus filters.

This means that the marketing is in the form of a network made up of various individuals who work together to advertise the company on to various potential customers.Aim: The survey aims to study the factors that are affecting the company Amway's growth.Completion: The survey is based on analyzing the interviews. The authors have relied on the qualitative method, where they have focused on how growth has increased the company Amway.Results: The results of this study are that Amway gradually managed to establish themselves globally thanks to the quality of the products they sell in a functioning market. The study also shows that all member customers are satisfied with the goods they buy from ABO groups, and that Amway's structure is not based on a pyramid scheme..

Jordbrukets miljöpåverkan genom diffusa läckage och transport av näringsämnen är ett problem som det arbetas aktivt med på nationell, regional och lokal nivå. I Sverige beräknas jordbruket stå för 43 % av de totala kväveutsläppen samt 44 % av de totala fosforutsläppen. Stor del av dessa utsläpp transporteras till havet där de bidrar till övergödning och algblomning. Östersjön är det hav som får ta emot utsläppen då de transporteras hit med floder, åar och grundvatten. Samtidigt anses jordbruket behöva öka matproduktionen för att tillgodose en växande befolkning.

The world today is experiencing an AI summer, urging us to engage with its technologies on a daily basis. Recently, researchers have begun to voice concerns about the potential risks if we do not address the inherent biases in these systems. After all, AI is merely code based on mathematics produced by humans. This essay focuses on Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to examine biases in fashion representation and how fashion is visualized and reproduced concerning race, social class, and culture. A series of prompts were intentionally written in simple terms such as ?rich,? ?poor,? and ?race.? The results revealed troubling biases, as these programs consistently depicted poor individuals as people of color and portrayed wealthy, elegantly dressed individuals as exclusively white..

In this work an assessment of the compressed air system in the facilities of Vattenfall Heat Uppsala has been conducted. The facilities constitutes, among others, a combined heat and power plant, and two waste incineration plants. The compressed air is supplied primarily by seven rotary screw compressors and yearly electric energy consumption in these has been determined. Furthermore, the usage of compressed air has been mapped in order to find processes with energy savings potential. Several suggestions how to reduce the usage of compressed air have been presented, resulting in decreased need of electric energy and reduced CO2-emissions.The results show that total need of electric energy in the compressors, during a standard production year, amounts to 5.83 GWh.

Many people perceive a division between an online world and the ?real? world outside of the World Wide Web. However, this view often leads to a reduced sense of importance ascribed to what takes place online, even though it affects life in very real ways. In our study we aim to explain the importance of how meaning is built in to sociomaterial compositions. By analyzing comment fields hosted by a Swedish IT-journal we illustrate how what is being said interplays with the technological platform in various ways.
