I denna uppsats utforskar jag hur heterosexuella feministiska kvinnors sexuella praktik förhåller sig å ena sidan till den heterosexuella institutionen och å andra sidan till feminismen. I detta syfte har jag intervjuat fyra heterosexuella feministiska kvinnor om deras erfarenheter av sex. Med den teoretiska utgångspunkten att det på ett övergripande plan råder en konflikt mellan feminismen som ideologi och heterosexualiteten som institution undersöker jag hur denna spänning tar sig uttryck i kvinnornas enskilda sexuella praktik.Jag stödjer mig på teoretiker som Stevi Jackson, Sandra Bartky och Michel Foucault.Jag kommer fram till att kvinnorna har ett ambivalent förhållningssätt till att vara både heterosexuell och feminist. Konflikter uppstår i deras sexuella praktik och det sker ett kontinuerligt förhandlande mellan vad jag kallar heteropatriarkala och feministiska imperativ, inom kvinnorna själva och i deras interaktion med omvärlden..

Sexual violence in armed conflict is not a new phenomenon. Although it has a long history, it's only in recent years from 1990 that is has been given more attention in science and media. I will in my thesis look at the conflicts of former Yugoslavia and Congo (DRC) and I will use two theories to investigate how the use of conflict-related sexual violence best can be explained. The two theoretical frameworks I have chosen are Feminist theory and Rational Choice theory. The conflicts will be at the center of analysis.

In this thesis I have done a discourse analysis of the documentary movie A Jihad for Love. A Jihad for Love came out 2007 and is directed by Parvez Sharma. The documentary movie is about homosexual Muslims and their jihad, struggle, for love and to be accepted in a world where they are barely recognized as a group. My aim of the thesis was to see how the movie portrays the persons who are in the film and their relationship to Islam and who gets access to the religion. I have also analyzed if Islam can be used to strengthen the sexual identity or if it works in the opposite way.

Trough a literature study based on both philosophic and objective fact this essay is taking off in the meaning of public space. This thesis explores how three contemporary Mexican women artists, Teresa Margolles, Julieta Aranda, and Minerva Cuevas navigate and critically engage with the global art world through a postcolonial and transnational feminist lenses. The study investigates how their artistic practices address issues of gender, identity, power and violence by examining six artworks by their aesthetic and material strategies, revealing how these artists challenge dominant Western narratives. This essay is a discourse and a feminist theoretical analysis that focuses on the alternative discourse that we consider Feminist Initiative to be constitutive of. Our theoretical stance, with base in Laclau and Mouffes discourse theory, builds on the notion that reality is characterised by conflicts between different competing discursive formations and that the social is an endless struggle over the preferential right of interpretation of meaning. More specifically, the essay focuses on the discursive struggle over the meaning of the term politics. It is our understanding that the dominant perception of politics necessarily excludes other understandings, which can according to Eduards, be explained as a consequence of a patriarchal distribution of power that renders the subordination of certain understandings of politics accordingly. Feminist Initiative, as an alternative discourse, can therefore be perceived as a threat to the dominating discourse of politics, which in order to maintain its preferential right of interpretation seek to illegitimatise and depoliticise the politics that the alternative discourse represents.

Here I study some European films from the late 1950?s and the early 1960?s by directors like Fellini, Visconti, Pasolini and Godard. By comparing them with different sociological studies on the subject of female prostitution I try to find out if these films are interested in the actual situation of the prostitute, or in their own image of the phenomenon. Is she an object used for sex or just an sex object? Is she positively or negatively pictured? With realism or as a stereotype? Which aspects of her situation is shown and which ones are concealed? What is the view on the men who actually use her services?It seems natural that different types of films, with different types of prostitutes, illustrates different aspects of what prostitution might be.

This essay is an attempt to study some post-modern theological positions with regard to their growing interest in the use of mystical theology and mysticism in theological research in the academic post-modern world, and to see if the 19th century theologian Albert Schweitzer couldprove a resource for this understanding of mystical theology. This position is known in the essay as ?the mystical turn.?To present the background and understanding of this post-modern view of mystical theology the essay presents three theologians, namely: Andrew Louth, Mark A. The purpose of this essay is to examine how Elin Wägner depicts the middle-aged woman who lives in the country in Sweden, in the 1920?s. The question at issue is: What problems and what subjects for rejoicing does she raise? My aim is to try to understand the women?s situation, as well as how Elin Wägner describes the situation in her four novels from the 1920?s: Den namnlösa (1922), Silverforsen (1924), Natten till söndag (1926) och Svalorna flyga högt (1929). Denna studie utgår från en poststrukturalistisk teori med feministiskperspektiv och har som syfte att förstå och se olika kontexts betydelse för subjektets skapande för läraren i grundskoleämnet hem- och konsumentkunskap (förkortning HK) Genom reflexiva intervjuer med verksamma HK-lärare och med en poststrukturalistisk analys studeras hur lärarnas upplevelser och erfarenheter kan relateras dels till schablonbilden och dels till hur den genom samtida och historiska texter kan förstås.Studien behandlar en existerande bild eller en schablon om hur läraren i hem och konsumentkunskap, förväntas vara och agera. En bild som beskriver en präktig, lite gnällig och petig kvinna, en praktisk person som lägger sig i det mesta och dessutom är något fyrkantig. I studien framkom att HK-läraren känner till schablonens existens men känner varken igen sig eller kollegor genom den.Med en poststrukturalistisk teori om subjektivisering, identitetsskapande och individuella förhållningssätt diskuteras i studien i vilka olika kontext HK-läraren lärsig att vara. Längdskidåkning är en fysiskt och psykiskt påfrestande idrott. Ändå satsar många svenska elitskidåkare helhjärtat utan att komma med i landslaget. Studien ville kartlägga vad som motiverar just dessa utövare att fortsätta elitsatsa. Sekundära syften var att söka svar på vad försökspersonerna vill åstadkomma med satsningen, samt vilka fördelar (plus) och nackdelar (minus) som försökspersonerna upplevde med satsningen. Undersökningen genomfördes med kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer och omfattade 13 individer (åtta män, fem kvinnor) i åldern 20-30.
