In this essay I analyze the way my collection of poetry relates to the concept cyclic. What is cyclic and what different interpretations are there concerning the concept? Which other related concepts are there regarding things that seem to reoccur regularly? How does the cyclical, the circular, relate to the linear in regard, for example, to the perception of time? Life often creates the sense that different phenomena and experiences repeat themselves. Different processes are conducted according to regular or irregular cyclical phases, situations seem familiar and events can be relived.         Starting from my writing project Sinnligt kviller, a collection of poems, I discuss these questions in themselves and the impact they have had on my collection. I describe the phenomenon cyclic as a result of the emotions and moods this term creates in a more or less decisive way.         The intention with this paper is to show how Sinnligt kviller offers different perspectives of and reflections upon the various feelings provoked by the cyclic in our lives, feelings that are given my own voice in the literary text under study..

Nation building is vital in post-war states to bring the people that have been at war together. To restore peace in a state, many different actors need to work together to bring stability, safety, and advancement to a new nation. There are several methods of nation building, and this thesis evolves around three of them. This is a qualitative study where three theories on nation building are used to analyze the development of nation building, and the obstacles Bosnia and Herzegovina still has to reach a national identity. Several studies are used in this thesis to show how the development has evolved in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how e-commerce companies work with their relationships to customers. We have conducted a case study of two companies, Koll and Webbshoppen, both active in the e-commerce industry. Our empirical study has shown that it is important for e-commerce companies to create long-term relationships to their customers, but it can be difficult to create these relationships since the companies have little contact to the users of Internet. To build relationships, e-commerce companies market themselves through different types of media to create awareness. It is also essential to be situated high in search engines.

This paper presents a study that evaluates the performance of stock recommendations issued on Swedish stocks during 2003. The selection of recommendations in this paper originates from banks, major brokerage firms and financial press located in Sweden. The total of 171 recommendations consisted of 99 buy recommendations and 72 sell recommendations. Forecast revisions presented in this paper suggest that Investment managers have no ability to predict performance winners, nor do their forecasts in general have any significant impact on stock prices. A mere 50 percent of the recommendations in this revision had a weak ability to outperform their benchmark indexes as in other similar revisions.

SMTP, the current protocol for sending electronic mail (e-mail) over the Internet, has for many years suffered from several problems and limitations. When it was designed, well over twenty years ago, the requirements for e-mail were very different from those of today. A message was a text message in English, and both user and machine were explicitly named in the address. The protocol was not designed to transfer other types of messages, and no mechanism was included to verify the identity of the sender.In order to solve these shortcomings, a new e-mail protocol needs to be defined. This report specifies a basis for what such a protocol may look like.

Denna uppsats har försökt att hitta orsaker till varför de kvinnliga revisorerna är lågt representerade i börsnoterade bolag. I uppsatsens inledande skede använde vi oss utav en enkätundersökning för att skapa oss en bild av intresset för auktorisation bland kvinnliga ekonomstudenter. För vår primära datainsamling använde vi oss både av personliga, semistrukturerade intervjuer och intervjuer per e-post. Vi har intervjuat kvinnliga auktoriserade revisorer som verkar på de fyra största revisionsbyråerna i Stockholm och gjort intervjuer per e-post med revisorer som tidigare varit verksamma på någon av dessa byråer. Vi har även intervjuat personer som inte är verksamma inom revisionsbranschen, men har intressanta synpunkter om området.

The purpose of this study is to examine how an organization communicates during a crisis and how a crisis can affect an organization's reputation/credibility in late modernity. The focus is on how the Swedish Red Cross handled crises from summer 2009 until spring 2010, and how the organization's reputation/credibility was affected by the fact that society has changed. The methodology used is a quantitative and qualitative text analysis. The results show that crises affect organizations, how much depends on how open they appear to be and how much credibility they have with them when the crisis begins. Getting to know the late modern society, to understand how it works, can bring benefits to an organization during a crisis.

Abstrakt Uppsatsen behandlar ämnet motivation och mer specifikt faktorer som påverkar chefers motivation till förändringsarbete. Undersökningen har en kvalitativ ansats och datainsamlingen har skett med hjälp av gruppintervju och via e-post. Urvalet för undersökningen var sex chefer anställda på Karlskrona kommun. Resultatet visar att förväntan påverkar chefers motivation. Vi fann också att chefers förtroende till ledning och chefers förståelse av förändringsarbetet påverkar motivationen.

Utvecklingen mot virtuell och mobil samverkan i organisationer har skapat utspridda team som samarbetar med hjälp av tekniska lösningar (t.ex. e-post och telefonkonferens). Arbetets positiva faktorer för individen och för organisationen utmanas i virtuella sammanhang. Genom en enkätundersökning (N=38) undersöktes hur arbetstillfredställelse, tillfredställelse med teamet, teamets utspriddhet samt ömsesidigt uppgiftsberoende var relaterade till organisations- och teamengagemang. Engagemang mättes med frågor ur OCQ (Mowday et al., 1979).

The following chapters examine landscape architecture which engages in contested territories with an emphasis on the way in which landscape architecture can engage with the issues of divided cities or landscapes with similar social, cultural and physical properties. The project focuses specifically on the potential landscape architecture has for promoting or aiding in the reconciliation process of these areas, by examining the following questions. How can landscape architecture be used to benefit the peace building process of divided cities and landscapes? How can landscape architecture be used in the process of promoting spatial reconciliation in the case of Belfast? The investigation begins with a description of the background to the project in Chapter 1, which functions as a brief introduction to the urban phenomena that is divided cities. It then goes on to introduce the different methods and data employed in order to answer the research questions in Chapter 2. After introducing the problem and the methodology, a global overview of divided cities is performed in Chapter 3. This chapter is divided into two sections.

Stormwater in urban areas has been treated as a problem for a long time. The large proportion of impermeable surfaces inhibits the water from infiltrating in the ground to the same extent that it does in nature. This causes intensive surface flow during rain, which in turn causes inconveniences such as decreased accessability, floods and increased risk of desease spreading. Drainage through pipes is the traditional and usually functional metod for storm water disposal. That is as long as water flows are moderate. But precipitation varies naturally in amount and intensity and additional impermeable surfaces make some pipes insufficient for heavy or lasting precipitation.

In industry applications, such as power supply plants, the issue of interaction between fluid and structure is always presented. More precisely, the fluid flow affects the structure by applying force(s) on it and vice versa. As a result, the structure can move (vibrate) or deform. A good understanding of this problem can help to design the system in term of safety, stability and efficiency.This project aims to optimize and test the Unicorn FSI solver from the FEniCS project [1] to simulate the interaction of fluid and structure in an experiment, which was carried out at Vattenfall Research and Development. The target is to improve the Unicorn FSI solver to cope with a real industrial problem.

Flera av Sveriges största kvälls- och dagstidningar är sedan ett par år tillgängliga på Internet. Ett alternativ till att distribuera dem via Internet är broadcasting. I det här examensarbete har tyngdpunkten legat på att utforma en personlig tidning anpassad för att distribueras via rundradionätet i stället för via Internet. Jag har analyserat tre olika lösningar nämligen 1. En webbaserad och plattformsoberoende variant i XML + Java, 2.

Studien undersöker kombinerad odling av tilapia och basilika i ett akvaponiskt system som ett lönsamt sätt att återvinna industriell spillvärme. Syftet har varit att finna en storlek som gör en sådan anläggning lönsam och därmed kunna bedöma i varje specifikt fall om kvantiteten av spillvärme från en fabrik är sådan att överskottsenergin kan användas i en lönsam anläggning av ovanstående typ. En anläggning på 7 500 kvadratmeter har visats lönsam, eventuellt kan också ett företag nå lönsamhet genom drift av många mindre, optimerade odlingar. Empirin har bestått av intervjuer via e-post och telefon, besök på en akvaponisk experimentanläggning samt insamling av data i olika typer av register. Postcykeln har inte ändrats mycket under sin livstid. Material, geometri och designen är nästan densamma som för hundra år sedan. Vad är det som gör att dessa cyklar förblir sig lika? Skillnaden nu är att man använder sig av olika transportmedel för olika typer av utdelning och olika områden.Nu har man bilar, mopeder, el-bilar etc. men man använder fortfarande cykeln till mycket utdelning.Vilka fördelar har cykeln som de andra inte har? Frågar du mig så skulle jag svara att den ärmiljövänlig, billig, bra för fysiken, effektiv vid rätt användningsområde och framför allt rolig att använda.Att vara brevbärare idag innebär ett tungt och slitsamt arbete.
