I dagens segregationsdiskurs läggs fokus ofta på de storskaliga miljonprogrammen. De människor som bor där beskylls ofta för att själva vara orsaken till segregationsproblemen. En vanlig uppfattning är att dessa människor genom egna val bidragit till de segregationsmönster vi har idag. Sällan belyses andra gruppers val som orsak till fenomenet. Miljonprogrammet uppfördes mellan 1965 och 1975 av den socialdemokratiska regeringen som en symbol för det moderna välfärdssamhället.

Examensarbetet är en litteraturstudie som handlar om att förebygga post-operativa komplikationer hos hund i samband med anestesi, symtom på dessa och hur de åtgärdas.Anestesi är ett reversibelt tillstånd av medvetslöshet frambringat för att kunna utföra operationer och diagnostiska tester. Det är viktigt att anpassa anestesin efter varje djur och ha kunskap för olika läkemedels önskade effekt och biverkningar. Vid val av anestesi bör hänsyn tas till olika faktorer, som till exempel ras, ålder, sjukdom och beteende.Problem kan uppstå i alla stadier av anestesi, från pre-medicineringen till uppvaket. Vanliga komplikationer är kräkning, regurgitation, krampanfall, excitation, dyspne, hypotermi och förlängt uppvaknande. Individuellt kan problemen innebära små konsekvenser, men tillsammans orsaka fara.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att ta fram ett webbaserat säljstödssystem åt Koneo i Gävle.Systemet skulle underlätta för säljarna i deras dagliga arbete med att samla information om kunder på ett ställe. Vidare kan de där redigera information, skicka e-post, ta fram olika dokument m.m. De tekniker vi använt oss av är ASP.NET, SQL-lagrade procedurer,JavaScript, CSS och VBScript. ?A culture center should be visually welcoming as well as attract a diverse range of visitors with different backgrounds.? This was the client?s request for a new cultural center in Nairobi. The location is in the heart of Nairobi?s industrial area, near several existing buildings that are already in use by the culture organization known as Go Down. I have chosen to keep most of the existing buildings and to use my new building as a complement for the desired program.

Joint injury (inflammation) or osteoarthritis is the most common cause of poor performance in the athletic horse. Osteoarthritis is the ensuing degeneration of joint cartilage due to inflammation/injury. The single most important factor in the inflammation cascade of joint injuries is interleukin-1 (IL-1). Until recently, these injuries have been treated with products like hyaluronic acid, cortisone and polysulphated glycosaminoglycans (PSGAG). Several studies have not been able to demonstrate a significant difference in the clinical improvement of joint injuries treated with hyaluronic acid or PSGAG and saline.

The post-modern western city is going through two central changes in the organization of paid labour. One is the switch from production of goods to production of services, and the other is the increasing rift between well-paid labour with permanent jobs, and temporarily employed workers with low wages. Both of these processes are rasified and gendered, and strike harder against women, young persons and people of emigrant background. The flexible capitalism creates an informalization of the economy, breaking with earlier regulations of the labour markets, in which workers also need to find informal strategies in their individual and collective struggles. In this paper, I search for these ?new? experiences of living and working in late capitalist society, by doing open interviews with three women of Latin-American origin, working without official permission (without documents) in the informal economy of Stockholm.

This project has been about making a design suggestion for a boat accessory that adjuststhe distance between a sail-or motorboat and the dinghy, which is connected by a rope inthe stern. Today this is all done by hand and can lead to problems when it comes tostressful situations such as harbors and narrow passages.A company called Sailsafe came up with the idea and the construction, which they alsohave tested. I found them through an acquaintance at Dacat AB where I did an internshipin the fall of 2010.Using sketching as the primary tool I?ve worked in an almost-real design project with theaim to develop my skills and give the company a relevant design suggestion. Today we can create digital 3D models which can be realised almost instantly through production methods such as 3D printing and computer controlled milling.What if this same technology could be applied to the development and construction of terrain parks?With snow as the material tools could be developed using similar principles to design and sculpt the surface, only on a larger scale.How would terrain park designers adapt their process to use this new technology? Bakgrunden till arbetet är en förundran över det ståtliga godset som både innehade och innehar ett orangeri, alléer och ett tempel, med trädgårdarna och parker.I den närmast tillgängliga litteraturen beskrivs parkmiljön endast korta noteringar som att ?parken byggdes ut? eller ?parken var enastående?. Prosody is the melody and rhythm of speech and language. Prosodic ability is of great importance for communication, and has been shown to be affected in adults with acquired brain injury. Studies have shown that Swedish children with specific language impairment have prosodic  difficulties to a greater extent than e.g. English speaking peers. It is thereby possible that prosodic ability is more vulnerable also in Swedish speaking adults with acquired brain injury.The aim of the present study was to assess prosodic ability in adults with acquired brain injury, and to evaluate the prosodic assessment procedure that was used.

Energy supply in Sweden year 2011 amounted to 577 TWh. The final energy consumption for industrial, residential and service was 379 TWh. Sweden has energy policy goals to reduce energy use in buildings. One of these goals is to reduce the energy use by 20 % in 2020 compared to the year 1995. An important step to achieve this goal is to target energy efficiency measures in existing buildings.
