Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa hur trumslagaren påverkar den musikaliska helheten och interagerar med sina medmusiker i modernt jazztriospel. En jämförande analys har gjorts av skivinspelningar från 1961 och framåt med trumslagarna Paul Motian, Jack DeJohnette och Jorge Rossy. Analysen behandlar rytmik, dynamik och klangfärg i två standardlåtar, All the things you are och Solar, och baseras på transkription i partiturform med avsikt att tydliggöra musikernas interaktion. Uppsatsen innefattar även en konstnärlig del i form av en inspelning, där jag tillsammans med en pianist och en basist framför tre standardlåtar. Dessa inspelningar diskuteras i relation till det analyserade materialet.

The thesis is about integration in the city and how integration can be improved through physical planning. Segregation can result in changing peoples? prerequisites in our society. Opportunities in life become dependent on what area of the city you live in or where you grew up. Integration denotes acceptance for all people, while different cultural and ethnic identities are preserved at the same conditions for everyone.

To be able to feel a sense of belonging, people need to have the possibility to take part of the information from the society. Hearing-impaired don?t have the same possibility as hearing people when they want to take part of the information, therefore they don?t get the same benefit. This contributes to a feeling of not belonging and a sense of limitation in different social occasions. Therefore the society needs to be accessible to everyone regardless disability.

During my studies to become a guitar builder at Carl Malmsten CTD, I have found an interest in the construction of the classical guitar. I am fascinated by the simplicity of its construction. A simplicity that becomes more complex when you start to study it in detail.In my final thesis I will not try to explain this complexity. The subject is to investigate two different principles regarding its construction. I would like to find out if the sayings concerning one of the principles will yield a guitar with greater ability to produce volume and projection.At a close distance the difference between the guitar?s volumes is not to speak of, but a significant difference can be seen regarding one of the guitars ability to project its sound.

This study is based on the notion of "the postsecular society". I have identified both similar and dissimilar values within current and official publications regarding human rights and gender equality authored by the Swedish Feminist Party and the Church of Sweden. The aim of this study is to identify and review similarities and differences in values, as expressed in definitions and standpoints, and also to try to explain how it is that the actors have similar and dissimilar values. In this context I have chosen the sociologist Jürgen Habermas's theory about "the postsecular society" to increase the understanding how and why similar values within religious and secular actors are presented in, what Habermas calls, "the postsecular society". I have used a qualitative and comparative content analysis for this study. The result shows that the Swedish Feminist Party has a more humanistic view.

Eftersom en majoritet av befolkningen har viss erfarenhet av att använda modern teknologi är det oftast deras nivå som man utgår ifrån vid utveckling av applikationer. Det finns dock fortfarande personer som aldrig använder modern informationsteknologi då de saknar både kunskap och tillgång. Många av dessa personer är äldre vuxna som inte fått en naturlig introduktion via skola eller arbetsliv. Denna studie undersöker vilka hinder dessa personer möter då de använder teknik som för medelsvensken är vardaglig. Genom intervjuer och användartester belyser vi de problem som utgör hinder för gruppens användande av informationsteknologi.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the process of resocialization for individuals who previously lived as criminals from an individual perspective. The research questions for the essay are: How do individuals in the study describe their process of resocialization? In which way does a support organization affect the process of resocialization for the individual? In which ways do the reactions from society affect the process of resocialization for the individual?To answer these research questions a qualitative method was chosen where six narrative interviews was conducted with men who previously lived as criminals but have been resocialized into society. These men are roughly between the ages of 30-60 years and are all members of a support organization for ex criminals.The results show that the process is divided in four stages and that the support organization has facilitated the process of resocialization of the respondents. Reactions from society both facilitates change using the help of different agencies can contribute, while negative reactions from other individuals makes change difficult.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine how representations of identity construction are performed through the characters in the novel Snabba Cash by author Jens Lapidus. I examine what means the characters are using, and how the identity construction processes are related to the idea of modern society. For a theoretical background I use sociologist Anthony Giddens? theories regarding modernity and self-identity, to study general identity construction.

Method: By performing a quantitative survey we delivered an inquiry to several companies, which answers will help us answering our above mentioned questions. We are constantly being fed information. Everything and everyone we come into contact with may somehow make a new impression on us, whether we are aware of it or not. One of the ways that people in today?s society in Sweden are being given information is via different types of media, for example through commercials. Whether it?s a video clip or a still-frame picture, a commercial is an effective way for a company to reach out to potential customers.However, it is not only the messages or signals that may appear obvious that these companies send out when advertising with commercials.

We conducted this study because a new school reform begins in 2011. Our study is in between 1960 - 2011. The survey methodology is the following; we use literature, previous studies and curricula. Rating has returned to a more equitable system. This means that the range has decreased in each grade level. Industry has been involved and affected programs and curricula. Short courses have disappeared and GY11kommer to tighten eligibility requirements. This places greater demands on schools and students. The new grading scale will be fairer to the students. The courses have been following the development of society. It is also true that businesses have had opportunities to customize programs for their purposes, so that they have professionals with the basic knowledge they need.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka korrelationen mellan vetenskaplig forskning av läsinlärning i det kinesiska språket bland barn i Kina i skolans första år, med nationella officiella direktiv som berättar vad läsinlärningen ska innehålla och på vilket sätt den ska utföras. En god korrelation kan tolkas som att direktiven för den nuvarande undervisningen är modern och uppdaterad och ligger i linje med modern forskning. För att genomföra undersökningen sammanfattas först ett stort antal vetenskapliga artiklar vilka redogör för faktorer som är viktiga för läsinlärningen. Därefter studeras den kinesiska nationella läroplanen samt två olika läroböcker för grundskolans första år, vilka tillsammans representerar nationella direktiv. Många av de centrala faktorerna som finns enligt forskningen finns även med i de nationella direktiven.

I denna magisteruppsats undersöks eventuella långsiktiga samband mellan den svenska aktiemarknaden och aktiemarknaderna i Tyskland, Storbritannien, USA och Japan. Detta sker genom en kointegrationsanalys med Engle-Grangers metod. Undersökningen omfattar åren 1992-2010 och resultaten visar inga tecken på att det skulle existera några långsiktiga samband mellan den svenska aktiemarknaden och någon av de utländska aktiemarknaderna. Resultaten ger därmed indikationer om att den svenska aktiemarknaden tillsammans med de utländska aktiemarknaderna i undersökningen är kollektivt effektiva i åtminstone den svaga formen enligt Fama (1970). Då inga långsiktiga samband existerar bör även portföljdiversifiering mellan den svenska aktiemarknaden och de utländska aktiemarknaderna i undersökningen fungera effektivt på lång sikt..

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka sex socialsekreterares uppfattningar av modern och fadern som föräldrar i familjer där mannen utövar våld mot kvinnan samt att undersöka om deras uppfattningar av modern och fadern skiljer sig åt, avseende föräldraskapet. Undersökningen bestod av halvstrukturerade intervjuer med sex socialsekreterare. Resultaten analyserades utifrån tidigare forskning, rollteori och genus. Resultaten av undersökningen visade att socialsekreterarna uppfattade ett bra föräldraskap som att det medför skyldigheter såsom att tillgodose sina barns behov. Mödrar och fäder har lika ansvar för barnets välbefinnande.
