One of the mostcommon injuries is the knee injury.Capio Artro Clinic is a clinic specialized in sports medicine and particulary patients with injuriesin knee, shoulder, foot, hip or elbow. They perform a great part of all the crucial ligamentsurgeries in Sweden and has therefor also a lot of patients in need for rehabilitation of the knee.During the rehabilitation the load of the injuried knee is increased in steps.
Identifiering av designriktlinjer lämpade för integrerade videouppladdningstjänster
There is a lack of published material regarding designing graphical user interfaces of so called integrated video uploading services. The term integrated video uploading services refers to homepages that do not have video uploading as its primary purpose but which still offers that service to its visitors. The aim of this thesis was to improve the amount of published material about designing graphical user interfaces for integrated video uploading services. This was done by performing a literature study to find general design guidelines which can be applied to design of integrated video uploading services. Thereafter the functionality and design of dedicated video uploading services was analyzed.

Vi har genomfört en studie i syfte att beskriva och analysera vilka faktorer som är motiverande i en arbetssituation för medarbetare som tillhör Generation Y (födda 1978 och senare), samt vilka belöningar som är attraktiva för denna grupp. Vi har valt att genomföra en kvalitativ fallstudie på yngre medarbetare inom affärsområdet Rikskund på Niscayah AB, som är ett av de ledande säkerhetsföretagen på den svenska marknaden. Vi genomförde en intervjuserie där vi talat med tio yngre medarbetare på företaget samt deras affärsområdeschef.Vi har valt ett holistiskt angreppssätt och ser vad som är motiverande utifrån fyra hörnstenar; omgivningens påverkan, individens behov, individens rättviseperception samt individens förväntningar. Vi kombinerar tidigare teorier från erkända forskare som till exempel Maslows behovspyramid, Herzbergs hygien- och motivationsfaktorer, McClellands behovsteorier och Vrooms processteorier för att ta fram en egen utredningsmodell. Viktiga slutsatser i studien är att yngre medarbetare främst motiveras av utmanande arbetsuppgifter och framgång. Icke-finansiella belöningar som utbildning, feedback och karriärmöjligheter är viktigare än finansiella, men finansiella måste finnas med för att skapa en grundtrygghet.
Sjuksköterskors upplevelser och copingstrategier vid palliativ hemsjukvård
Aim: The aim of the current study was to investigate nurses? experiences of caring for palliative patients in palliative home care, and to examine the coping strategies they use.Method: The study was empirical descriptive with qualitative approach. The data was collected by nine semi-structured interviews and analyzed by using manifest content analysis.Result: By analysing data three categories: Positive experiences of palliative home care, Stressful experiences of palliative home care and Problem-focused coping strategies, and 15 subcategories, were distinguished.Conclusion: Experiences of palliative home care were both of positive and challenging characters. Stressful situations were managed by problem-focused coping strategies. Nurses are in need of the work situation at home to become more ergonomic and designed to protect the nurse?s physical wellbeing.

In this study we will focus on the reliability of accounting information, which is an important aspect from the stakeholder?s point of view, for example, to be able to make the best decisions the accounting information should be proper.
Alkoholkonsumtion - irrationell eller rationell : En studie av priselasticiteter och konsumtion av en beroendeframkallande vara
The aim of the study was to describe parents' experiences of empty nest. The sample consisted of individuals who had experienced one child moving out of the parental home. Data were collected through qualitative semi-structured interviews and were analyzed by using thematic analysis. The thematic analysis revealed four themes, Concerns about the new time in life, Changing roles, Socializing in the family and Testing the relations. Due to the themes participants' stories reveal anxiety facing the time that will come when children takes the step to leave the nest.

The thesis handles the principal-agency problem between shareholders and the Chief Executive Officer. The purpose of the thesis was to examine the link between CEO compensation and corporate performance measured as a change in Market to Book ratio. Data was collected from corporate annual reports between the years 2000 ? 2008 and the study covers 39 Swedish companies from the Stockholm Stock Exchange Large Cap list. To examine whether there is a link between the CEO´s compensation and firm performance, we performed a regression analysis, and no significant relation is found.
Let´s talk about sex: en studie av patienters uppfattning av samtal i samband med testning/smittspårning för sexuellt överförda infektioner med fokus på sexualitet
The aim of this study is to examine the patient's understanding of the counselling while testing for an STI. The method was an inquiry directed to patients at two receptions, where tests for STI are made, and on the Internet for patients who made a test within the last year. The study involves 95 participants, 39 answered the inquiry directly after the test. The main results show that most participants are positive to talk about their sexuality and sexual strategies with the personnel, irrespective of who takes the initiative to the counselling. Women are yet more negative then men to talk about their sexuality, even if the test is made voluntarily by the woman.

A company may use different accounting techniques to adjust accounting information and thereby attract investors. Big Bath Accounting is defined as a strategy used to make changes in the financial statements and reduce the results further when the companies expect negative results. This phenomenon has been observed empirically and occurs when including CEO change and negative results. The aim of this study is to test whether there is another factor affecting Big Bath Accounting, namely remuneration of the CEO. The CEOs should, by changing the accounting information, be able to influence their compensation.

Castration coverage and attitudes towards a castration program in Lilongwe, Malawi
The aim of this study was to measure the castration coverage and the attitudes among people towards castration in an area in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, where a castration program has been running for a few years. Another aim was to review the literature to examine the link between castration coverage and rabies prevalence. Two areas (Area 25 and Area 23) in Lilongwe were studied through standardized household interviews. In Area 25, a non-governmental organization had been castrating dogs weekly to twice weekly for free for 3 years. In Area 23, no official organization had done castrations, and this area therefore acted as a control in the study.

A quantitative study was conducted with the aim to investigate whether individuals use a specific conflict strategy when they are in a task conflict or a relationship conflict in their workplace. The study also examined whether individuals experience positive or negative effects of a task conflict or a relationship conflict when a specific conflict strategy have been used. Previous research explains the effects of task conflicts and relationship conflicts at the workplace (De Dreu, 2008) Likewise lifts the effects of the conflict strategies interaction, avoidance, and power and coercion (Hoerr, 2005; Meyer, 2004; Trudel & Reio Jr., 2011). However it does not tie together what the conflicts and conflict strategies have for effects together. This also means that it is impossible to discern if there is a strategy that is frequently used in a specific conflict type.

In cooperation with Hälsoteamet Halmstad a pilot study was made to see if whole body vibration exercise has any effect on muscle strength, movement and experience of pain in people with knee osteoarthritis. Today whole body vibration exercise is a revolutionary exercise method that needs more studies to show the positive and negative effects. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease where more cartilage is destroyed than replaced. The most common symptoms are pain, stiffness, restricted movement, muscularly atrophy, tenderness and instability. The cartilage needs pressure to rebuild, it is therefore important that the patient exercise.

The need for second language learning is increasing in today?s multicultural and globalized society, and adult studies are becoming more common. Teachers must encourage all students, and all schools need to promote equality. Motivation is one of the most important factors for positive learning and progress, and it can be helpful for second language teachers to know more about this subject. The aim of this study was to examine which motivational factors that influence adult immigrants to learn Swedish through SFI education in Sweden.
