Assessing the emotional state in animals is important in order to establish the quality of their welfare, therefore it is important to investigate under what circumstances animals experience these emotions and to find indicators of their existence. The aim of this thesis was to detect possible behavioural indicators for positive emotions in dogs. These behavioural indicators could be helpful to increase both dogs? and humans? overall well-being in today?s society since they could help e.g. dog owners and caretakers to interpret behaviours displayed by dogs and their intentions so they can respond accordingly.The subjects used were 9 research beagles and each dog participated in three different treatments, assumed to be experienced as positive situations, where communicative interaction was initiated with the dog by engaging in 1) physical contact (P), 2) verbal contact (V) or 3) both physical and verbal contact simultaneously (PV).

I den här studien lyfter författarna ett i dagens samhälle, aktuellt och viktigt ämne. För att kunna bemöta elevers olika behov använder sig matematiklärare av olika strategier och studien belyser några strategier som anses vara framgångsrika av en grupp med lärare. Syftet med studien är att få fördjupad kunskap om och ökad förståelse av lärares olika undervisningsstrategier för att möta elevers olika behov av stödinsatser. Studien belyser variationer av undervisningsstrategier som främjar lärande med särskilt fokus på feedback/ återkoppling. En kvalitativ ansats tillämpas för att lyfta fram mönster och variationer hos några lärare genom intervjuer och öppna frågor.

The dependency of fossil fuels has to decrease in order to reduce emissions of green house gases. Wind turbines generate electricity with low environmental impact, but the local opinion in Sweden is sometimes an obstacle to new developments. The acceptance of nuclear power increases at the same time. Mining uranium is once again on the agenda and prospectors are currently drilling for uranium. This cross-sectional study deals with acceptance of wind farms and uranium drilling.

All companies wants? to be as profitable as possible. The company in question is one of the leaders in it´s field in Sweden. In order to increase profits as much as possible it is important to identify and eliminate eventual quality defect cost as far as possible.This study was performed in Huddig AB, and the purpose of this study is to try to develop a routine for monitoring the quality defect costs, and to improve communication and create feedback between production and aftermarket.In addition to an extensive literature review on quality defect costs most of the work have been conducted at the company. Own observations and interviews have been done with the staff to get a picture of the current situation and to try to come up with improvement proposals.During the study it was proved that much of the quality defect costs in essence, derived from the production, which is seen as positive because it is the easiest part of the company to improve.

The purpose of the present investigation was to identify how knowledge about goal-setting is developed and applied in practice of male players in the Swedish national floorball team, by using a qualitative methodology. Participants were 6 players playing for the Swedish national team. They were asked to respond to the interview questions in relation to their perception of setting goals for a successful outcome in sports, how their goal- setting process has developed and how they deal with goal setbacks and goal attainment. Results revealed that Swedish national players in floorball employed goal setting often for both individual and team goals in practice and competition. In addition, many interesting findings regarding the process of goal setting emerged in the result.

The purpose of this thesis was to figure out the feelings that librarians felt towards the e-books at the library. And if it affects their work at the library, especially from a financial point of view. The reason I decided to do this study is because the subject of e-books has become bigger in the last couple of years, and that I got the feeling that the librarians didn?t like them that much. So I did six interviews with six different librarians from different libraries to see if they felt the same thing or if they are in fact positive towards them.The results I received from my study were that the librarians are positive to the e-book.

The purpose of this study is to examine teachers and school-leaders attitude to the school library. Both the cause of and the consequences of these attitudes are examined. In order to fulfil my purpose I have examined this through both literature and empirical studies. I have interviewed the headmaster, the school librarian and two teachers at two comprehensive schools. As theoretical framework I have used David Loertschers taxonomy containing theories about the levels in an ideal school library and Miles model of school development.

In the school subject of the natural sciences it is imperative that the students are given opportunities to ?talk science?, since the dialogues that occur in the classroom have a significant importance for the students? abilities to engage in meaning-making in their learning process. Hence, the student and teacher interaction in the classroom and the feedback given there play a significant role in the students? learning process. The aim of this study is to contribute to the development of formative assessment tools that can mediate the students? meaning-making in natural sciences subjects in upper-secondary school.

Faktorer som bidrar till arbetstillfredsställelse hos volontärer på Röda                                         Korsets telefonjour                                      Malin MattssonVolontärers arbetstillfredsställelse har visat sig vara ett begränsat område in-om forskningen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka volontärers arbetstill-fredsställelse på Röda Korsets telefonjour och se ifall faktorerna kön, ålder, utbildning, sysselsättning, civilstånd, plats, antal dagar, antal år, Röda Korsets utbildningar, volontärernas belöning, feedback från frivilligledaren, respons från uppringarna, kontakten med medjourare och volontärers trauman var relaterade till arbetstillfredsställelse. En enkätundersökning genomfördes där 102 volontärer deltog varav 15 var män. Enkäten bestod av bakgrundsfrågor, specifikt konstruerade frågor om Röda Korset samt 26 påståenden från mätinstrumentet volunteer satisfaction index. Resultatet från studien visade att variablerna, feedback från frivilligledaren, Röda Korsets utbildningar och volontärers trauman relaterade starkast till arbetstillfredsställelse.

I denna studie kommer vi att behandla begreppet bedömning för lärande. Syftet är att undersöka hur matematikläraren resonerar kring och arbetar med bedömning för lärande. Vi behandlar vad tidigare forskning har uppmärksammat om arbetet med bedömning för lärande. Lärarna som deltagit i studien via intervjuer åskådliggör att de medvetet försöker arbeta med bedömning för lärande för att främja sina elevers lärande. Arbetet med bedömning för lärande sker genom att tydliggöra målen för eleverna, ta hänsyn till elevernas tidigare kunskaper, samt feedback från lärare, kamrater och från eleverna själva.

Cattle production systems are changing to bigger intensified systems with larger numbers of animals per farm and more free range systems while at the same time employing fewer people. Aversive handling has been known to affect cattle production negatively for many years, but lately scientists have started to focus more on what positive effects gentle handling and positive human-cattle interactions may have on beef and dairy production. Fear can cause high stress in production animals and this can contribute to not only reduced production within beef and dairy cattle, but also increased risks for accidents and decreased animal welfare. Therefore, by reducing the fear cattle experience of humans, it could be possible to increase production, decrease accidents and increase the welfare of the animals. Reducing the animals fear and stress can be done by simple means, such as walking and talking calmly around the cattle, associating humans to positive feelings (such as feed) and stroking the cattle?s body regions associated with social grooming.

Den här kvalitativa studiens syfte var att ur ett ledarskapsperspektiv undersöka vad chefer upplevde som signifikanta utmaningar i att leda en arbetsgrupp utifrån de fem arbetskaraktäristika dimensionerna; uppgiftsidentitet, uppgiftsbetydelse, variation i färdigheter, autonomi och feedback. För att uppnå studiens syfte valdes att göra djupgående, semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra chefer ifrån fyra olika verksamheter med varierande erfarenhet av ledarskap. Intervjuerna genomfördes vid personliga intervjuer med stöd av en intervjumall men också med utrymme för lämpliga följdfrågor för så uttömmande svar som möjligt. Resultatet av studien visade på att utmaningar återfanns i att arbetsgruppens autonomi tillsammans med variation i färdigheter begränsades av arbetsbeskrivning. Utmaningar upplevdes också kring att få de anställda att förstå hela bilden samt i anställdas sätt att nyttja eller utnyttja autonomi och hantera feedback i de fall de erbjöds.

The starting point for this work was a discussion between my supervisor and myself during my teaching training. The discussion concerned the appropriateness of allowing students make films with sexual content. Film gives young people the opportunity to express their feelings and broaden their views. If the film then disseminates to unknown people via in-ternet, which it most likely will do, maybe it is no longer so positive. The aim of this study is to shed light on various aspects of identity and ethics that are important to keep in mind when young people in school make films.

The study aims to increase understanding and knowledge of motivation; this by examining how the leader experiences her capability to promote employees' work motivation. Also, how employees perceive that the leader influence and enhance their work motivation. Interviews were conducted with a manager and two employees of a government agency in Sweden. The results demonstrate different opinions between manager and employees in the manager's ability to foster motivation in the everyday work. The leader thinks that she promotes her employees work positively and believes that she is giving her employees attention and appreciation.

Denna studie har som huvudsyfte att undersöka formativ bedömning ur våra elevers perspektiv. Genom att sätta oss in i vad det formativa arbetssättet innebär och vad Lgr11 säger om detta fick vi en fin möjlighet att samtidigt utvecklas som pedagoger och bedömare. Lgr 11 anger tydligt att lärare förväntas arbeta mer formativt då aktuell forskning visar stora vinster för de enskilda elevernas kunskapsinhämtning. Våra elever har vid två tillfällen fått besvara enkäter med frågor om hur de upplever lärares bedömningar av deras kunskaper och vilken feedback de vill ha. Vårt arbete ger en kort tillbakablick hur bedömning i allmänhet utvecklats sedan antiken och hur de båda begreppen summativ och formativ bedömning uppkommit och utvecklats.
