Abortion remains a contentious issue, which greatly raises ethical problems. This thesis examines the leading arguments in the Swedish abortion debate around the ? in terms of legislation ? critical years of 1938 and 1974. With Foucault's genealogical method, Butler's theories of gender as a social construction in relation to power and doxa, the study examines what the development of the argumentation says about the views on morality, the woman's body, life, individual and state? How has the arguments pro and against abortion changed over time and what does this say about the norms that guide and orientate the arguments? The most obvious change in argumentation is seen in the shift from an absolute moral and conservative Position into an increasingly relativistic and liberal Position, and this study will argue that this shift has its prerequisites in the changing status of the citizen and state.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze theories about Positioning that will create an image of the Positioning process, which we later on shall benchmark with other companies way to Position their brand. This essay is based on a mission from Anna Schibli, Director of Tourism at Solliden Palace. The thesis aims to investigate the image that Solliden Palace has, and the picture that local and regional tourist offices have of the Sollidens Castle brand and what Position Solliden include in these markets. A total of six in-depth interviews with tourist offices, at local and regional level, has been carried out and an initial in-depth interview with Anna Schibli of Solliden Palace. The responses of the respondents have since been interpreted and processed based on an inductive approach, in order to interpret the image that Solliden Palace has. Scientific papers have been studied and analyzed in order to generate an explanation and understanding of the research area.

BakgrundFriluftsliv är något som nämns i kurs- och ämnesplanerna i Idrott & Hälsa. Trots detta kände jag att jag saknade kunskap om det under min egen skolgång vilket gjorde att jag uppfattade friluftsliv som ointressant. En del forskning har gjorts om vad man kan göra för att göra friluftsliv mer intressant för eleverna. Däremot har lite forskning gjorts angående vilka elever har/har inte ett intresse för friluftsliv.SyfteSyftet med studien är att undersöka hur intresset är för friluftsliv hos elever i årskurs 2 på gymnasiet. Finns det något samband mellan social Position och intresset för friluftsliv samt skiljer sig intresset något åt mellan könen?MetodI studien har jag använt mig av en kvantitativ metod i form av enkäter.

Undersökningen byggde på en enkätundersökning som genomfördes med totalt 97 anställda på företaget, 72 yrkesarbetare och 25 tjänstemän. Yrkesarbetarnasom ombads att delta i undersökningen valdes ut genom ett icke-sannolikhetsurval.

AbstractRelationships between white women and black men have become a topic of interest in various discussion forums. By examining different arguments within certain discourses, it becomes clear that discourses that have a distinct autocrat outline, i.e. a closed and declaring nature which excludes alternative discursive arguments, also define these relationships as different and deviant in comparison to relationships that does not encompass and include the constellation white women and black men. As a result of the use of autocrat discourses the white women and black men who enter into relationships are displaced and Positioned as subaltern. A Position which, on the one hand, allows for uninhibited criticism, but, on the other hand, and most importantly, it is a Position from where they can be defined by others.

Erik Andersson: Utanför Murarna: En studie av Ulf Lundells och rockkulturens outsiderPositionering. Uppsala universitet: Institutionen för musikvetenskap, 2007.The main aim of this essay is to show how the artist Ulf Lundell presents himself as someone with an outsider's view of life. This also includes showing that this aspiration is a common one among artists in the rock culture.The aim was reached by studying texts, lyrics, interviews, articles of and with Lundell and then applying theories about authenticity and performativity on this material. In order to put this in a context I looked at a similar material but with a much broader perspective, artists from different countries, genres and eras is here included.The conclusion of this study is that a kind of norm system in the rock culture has developed and Lundell is acting accordingly to these rules. The outsider Position has become an important ingredient in Lundell's persona and this Position can also be seen as a given norm in the wider context.

The purpose of this study has been to examine the archival management at the 14 Student Nations in Uppsala. This may be relevant to study to extend the research in the field that Berndt Frediksson calls ?empirical archival science?. Another reason is that the Student Nations hold a unique Position as organisations and their archivists holds a unique Position from a professional point of view as they mostly consist of students without professional archivist training. This study is mostly based on previous research, which includes Sub-national actor?s attitudes and regional action towards the European Union. The purpose of the study is to investigate if four Swedish municipalities in Värmland operate internationally towards the European Union and deepen an understanding of their actions. The main research question is: - How can we increase our understanding of municipal action against the European Union? The research questions of this study are answered through qualitative method and semi-structured interviews were conducted.
