The company LightLift Esystems AB manufactures patented motorized lift systems for the illumination of halls with high ceilings. The company wants a new design for singular heavy lights in order to be more competitive.This project consists of the development of the new design under the requirements and specifications imposed by the company. The new design must support lights up to 300kg and keep the overall dimensions as low as possible without modifying the driving unit.This document contains all the designing steps followed to reach the final solution as well as the material selection, manufacturing process and assembly of all the parts that form it.The solution obtained shows to be very competitive with other alternative products, since this new design triples their maximum load capacity while the dimensions are very similar.In this context, the optical appearance was also very important to the company and so it was another main objective of this project. From an aesthetical point of view, the final solution proves to be very compact and versatile since it can either be hidden behind a false ceiling or covered by a plastic case that gives the design a very nice look.Finally, the solution achieved fulfils all the requirements and specification previously imposed. It is reliable, compact, cheap to manufacture, easy to assembly and it has a good optical appearance. .

The purpose with my degree project is to investigate the use of computers within the daily activity in three preschools and one preschool class. I have designed a survey that I distributed to the staff. The purpose of my work is to investigate how a number of preschool teachers and children in a few preschools and one preschool class in a medium-sized Swedish town are using the computer in their activities.My study shows that the computer is frequently used, both of the children and teachers, but also together. The children in my study are using the computer to play games, listen to music, and go into the websitewww.youtube.com, but also in order to write and count.  The teachers primarily use the computer to document, check their e-mail and listen to music.

Med denna uppsats vill jag undersöka vad som motiverar människor att samla på musik, i en tid när musik i såpass stor utsträckning finns tillgänglig för obegränsat lyssnande på internet. Min tes är alltså att det är någonting annat än tillgänglighet som driver människor att samla på musik idag. I min studie har jag tagit hjälp av sju stycken informanter som mer eller mindre aktivt samlar på musik i fysiska format. De är mellan åldrarna 23-46, fem män och två kvinnor. Informanterna har själva anmält intresse när de hört om min studie, eller blivit tillfrågade av mig eftersom jag på förhand vetat om att de samlar på musik.

The purpose of this Master Thesis is to investigate the quality of the library service at the City Library of Uddevalla. In particular this thesis will examine the quality of the library service to people who are disabled. This applies particularly to the service to people with reduced ability to move or to see, which also includes people with infirmities due to old age. We also have investigated how well the library itself is adapted to the disabled. In order to get more information about the library service to people who are disabled, we have studied literature on this subject and the Master Thesis contains a summary of those documents.

The thesis work has been carried out at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC) in Trollhättan. VAC has entered a partnership as developing and producing partner with engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney and is currently at the starting phase of producing the turbine rear frame (TEC) to the engine PW1000.The purpose of this study was to create a report on process level that describes the conditions and the potential with PW1000 TEC to reach the product cost calculation taking into account lead times and describe alternative method solutions.The report describes a comparison between the present flow (2012), a flow based on product cost calculation (2016) and a potential flow (2016). The work has mainly been based on acquiring the knowledge and information available to inspect the present flow; this has been done by workshop observations, meetings and gathering of the information that is available on the work site for the PW1000 TEC.The information obtained has been merged into an Excel document, called Roadmap. It serves as a roadmap with current situation as the start and the potential flow for 2016 as the goal. With the roadmap as a tool, assumptions have been taken considering the flow and how it will change, where processes have been eliminated, reduced or marked as a problem..

This paper aims to analyze the legal functions and characteristics of bills of lading in their basic form to examine the legal framework for the adoption of electronic bills of lading under Swedish law. With a comparative analysis against English law, particular attention is given to the 'document of title' function. This has been claimed to pose challenges in the transition to electronic bills of lading. While Swedish law presents potential parallels, critical aspects like negotiability and indirect possession require resolution. It analyzes international regulations such as the Rotterdam Rules and Model Law, addressing challenges and potential solutions for digitalization.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to study, describe andimprove the understanding of voluntary driven libraries. How doesthe library staff view their role? How is the library operationworking in respect of economy, organization structure and systemsof rules? Research methods I used were semistructured interviewsand document research.The theoretical framework was based on Joacim Hansson´sdiscussion about libraries in a local community, Henning Bang´sdiscussion about organization culture and the Swedishgovernment´s non- profit advisory group`s discussion aboutvoluntary work.The results of this study shows that the library staff are enthusiastsmotivated by a wish to spread literature to people who find itdifficult to visit municipal libraries. Other motives for theirvoluntary work is the opportunity for being a part of a socialcommunity, to be surrounded by books and to activate body andsenses. The results of this study also shows that the voluntarylibrary system differ from the traditional, municipal library systemconcerning economy, organization structure and set of rules..

This survey examines how a regional archive, Värmland Archives, interprets and works from the departure point of national cultural accessibility goal ?Everyone should have the opportunity to participate in cultural life?. And it is also a comporative study of discourse regarding accessibility between Värmland Archives and some other actors in the archival cultural system. Critical discourse analysis, according to Norman Fairclough, is used as a theory method. A discourse analysis is made on empirical data based on document study and qualitative research interviews. My conclusion is that if the term Accessibility is seen as a focal point the accessibility discourse in the documents of Värmland Archives and of the other actors studied can not be clearly discerned. Värmland Archives´s interpretation of terms regarding accessibility analyzed in the survey, varies among the staff regarding how the archives and its services should be accessible, and what accessibility means in the context of the archives.

Idag genomför OptoNovas system en mängd avsyningar hos tillverkande företag där defekta produkter sorteras ut. Systemen samlar in data för analys och delar av resultatet sparas i textbaserade loggfiler. Här finns en möjlighet att utnyttja loggdatan till en betydligt högre grad för att få ut maximalt med information.Examensarbetet omfattar en utredning av vilka loggdata som är användbara och på vilket sätt de kan visualiseras för att uppnå så hög förståelse och användbarhet som möjligt, följt av en implementation.Arbetet resulterade i en standard för loggdata som utgörs av en databas samt en visualiseringsapplikation skriven i C++ och Qt. Det som krävs för att använda visualiseringsapplikationen är en databas på föreslaget format samt enkla bilder på aktuella artiklar som datan ska visualiseras för.Med hjälp av Visualiseringsapplikationen kan användaren se statistik över de olika artiklarna som avsyningssystemet avsynar. Applikationen visar information om var på artiklarna defekterna förekommer, vid vilka tidpunkter det uppstår flest defekter m.m.Visualiseringsapplikationen kommer att fungera som ett hjälpmedel för att förbättra felsökningen i tillverkningsindustrin bland de företag som valt att använda OptoNovas avsyningssystem..

Idag saknas det en erkänd och accepterad grundkunskap om hur åskådaren bedömer konst. Denna undersökning syftade till att finna mönster ? bakomliggande faktorer ? i undersökningsdeltagares bedömning av tavlor i preferens (?tycker om?), ?modern? och ?intressant?. Färgutskrifter av fyrtiotvå tavlor, i A4-format, visades för 100 deltagare - en person i taget. Resultaten analyserades med faktoranalys samt med hierarkisk klusteranalys.

The aim with this study was to give and receive an insight of children?s participation during one day in a preschool. Answers we were interested in finding out were how pedagogues act in relation to children´s influence, participation and interests and how this shows in the pedagogical context. Our own interest of children´s participation was influenced by the new revised curriculum that took place in 2010. Nowadays the pedagogues? have to be more active and reflect and document children´s influence and participation, and therefore we wanted to use this opportunity to create a picture of how pedagogues deal with these new guidelines.We have with an ethnographic inspired approach performed a qualitative study with data collected during one day with focus on children´s influence, participation and interest in one preschool section.According to the result children?s participation and influence this day were controlled by the pedagogue.

Rapporten resulterar i förslagshandlingar över hur den invändiga gestaltningen kan komma att se ut. De tidigare studierna som undersökt miljökuznetskurvan (EKC) för koldioxid-utsläpp, där de flesta urval baserats på OECD medlemsländer, har fått varierande resultat. Den här studien använder sig av både OECD medlemsländer och länder som inte är medlemmar i OECD. Urvalets data baseras på åren 1971-2010 för totalt 57 länder från runt om i världen. Resultaten visar tecken på ett inverterat U-format förhållande mellan koldioxidutsläpp och inkomstnivå, men att ett monotont stigande förhållande inte kan avfärdas. Enligt de uppskattade ekvationerna är inkomstnivån där utsläppen tenderar att minska lägre för hela urvalet än för både OECD-medlemsländerna och länderna som inte är medlemmar i OECD.

Den här uppsatsen berör folkbildningsideal och folkhögskolemödrar. Folkhögskolemödrar kallas de kvinnor som ansvarade för kvinnors undervisning vid svenska folkhögskolor i 1800-talets slut och 1900-talets början. De var gifta med skolans rektorer och ansvarade för det mesta praktiska arbetet på skolorna. Uppsatsen undersöker vilka folkbildningsideal som format två av de första folkhögskolemödrarna i deras bildningssyn och även hur de förhöll sig som kvinnliga folkbildare till manligt utformade folkbildningsideal.
