The United Nations has, during many years, developed a model for a globally harmonized system for classification and labeling of chemicals, with the aim of it becoming a global standard. This system is implemented in the European Union through the CLP-regulation and is now working parallel to the existing directives until 1st of June 2015, when all the new classifications of substances and mixtures must be completed. The aim of this project was to adjust the laboratory to the new legislation, through inventory of stored chemicals, update the list of chemicals and perform self-classifications of mixtures. The work included handling of about 650 different chemicals with varying hazard classifications and search for information in corporate websites and chemical databases. This resulted in a new and complete list of chemicals stored and used in the laboratory and, in addition, an example of how to make a self classification of a mixture.

Social support is an important part of handling the troubles of life. The purpose of this literature review is to investigate what forms the social support for adult women with breast cancer with the aim to be used in the nursing care. By system-atical reading of scientific articles nine qualitative articles were found which the result is based on. The theoretical framework was Antonovsky´s health focused theory with the central issue KASAM, the feeling of life connection. The study resulted in three themes emotional support, practical support and informational support, which describe the balanced content of social support.

This report describes the development of a sample loader for my diploma work at Q-linea AB in Uppsala. The sample loader will replace the process of loading fluid samples into Q-linea?s instrument for biomolecule analysis. The earlier process was done by hand and was a time consuming and inefficient task.The work was initiated with a design phase where an overview of the system was created. The sample loader will be receiving text commands from a PC that coordinates all the subsystems like pumps and lasers on the analysis instrument.

When traffic in large cities increases, it becomes more vulnerable to disturbances such as accidents, stalled vehicles or construction; therefore, traffic jams are more likely to occur. For better control of the traffic at a disturbance the Swedish National Road Administration (SNRA) has traffic equipment which can be controlled from a command centre. This traffic equipment consists of gates and signs with variable messages. This report will discuss the system used for traffic control in Stockholm. It will present proposals designed to improve it.

Sjuksköterskor som möter patienter med självskadebeteende kan ofta uppleva frustration, hjälplöshet, förtvivlan och ilska. Den vård personer med självskadeteende får beror på hur vårdpersonalen ser på dem, många gånger finns det negativa attityder som kan bero på bristande utbildning och okunskap. Syftet med studien var att beskriva personer med självskadebeteendes upplevelser av hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens bemötande. I denna litteraturstudie har tolv studier analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats.

Six different Digital Proofing Systems from three different techniques have been evaluated as totechnique, printing quality, economy and usability. Digital proof from two paper qualities, coatedand uncoated, has been compared with references printed in offset, to see how good they match eachother. Only two Proofing Systems manage to print on reference paper. The other Proofing Systemsuse special paper for digital proof.Measurements and visuell judgement show that the Digital Proofing Systems visualise referencepictures with quite good quality. Proof optimised for coated paper visualise the colours with goodresult.

Rättskraftsprincipen i den allmänna förvaltningsrätten och i socialförsäkringsrätten

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka erfarenheten och upplevelsen hos omsorgspersonal som arbetar på särskilda boenden för personer över 65 år med demenssjukdom av att begränsa de boende i deras självbestämmanderätt. Vidare ingick det i syftet att öka förståelsen genom att synliggöra vad som kan motivera beslut vilka leder till handlingar som innebär att demenssjukas självbestämmanderätt begränsas. Uppsatsen har en kvalitativ ansats och det empiriska materialet är baserat på semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju omsorgspersonal som arbetade på olika boenden med inriktning mot demenssjukdomar. Resultatet visar att begränsningarna av de demenssjuka sker med hänvisning till skyddsaspekter och bristande resurser. Omsorgspersonalen beskrev hur de använde avledande strategier i situationer där de begränsade de demenssjuka personerna.
