This thesis is about the effect of political efficacy on societal participation among youths aged 15 to 29. It takes a starting point in the gloomy view of the decline of political participation among citizens in the western world, especially pointing out youths as a threat to democracy. This is a broad subject to take on so my aim becomes a bit more specific. The aim of the thesis is therefore to investigate if belief in ones own capacity and in the responsiveness of the political system affects the actual participation among youths in Europe, independent of a set of alternative predictors. Moreover the thesis is divided into two sub-investigations, one qualitative and one quantitative.

The means to political participation at the local level in Sweden are changing and this change is analyzed through a case study. The first aim is to explore the forms of public political participation in Swedish municipal Älvkarleby, namely public question time in local government, citizen motions and open meetings. A part of this is also to analyze he every day contact between citizens and representatives. The second aim concerns the reasons why politicians decide to support these means to participationThe empirical material consists mainly of semi structured interviews with local politicians, civil servants, participating citizens and local press. Official documents such as public minutes are also used in the process of creating an image of local participation.Local political participation is found to be limited but yet having the potential to strengthen democracy, provided that public decision-makers are open to a dialogue with the participants.Using Kjell Arne Røvik's theories of organisational change, the changes in local democracy can be explained as being partly rational, partly symbolic and partly identity shaping political decisions..

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka kvinnors politiska deltagande i irakiska Kurdistan. utifrån syftet undersökt sex frågeställningar: Hur stor andel av kvinnorna i irakiska Kurdistan röstade i förra valet, är medlemmar i ett politiskt parti, arbetar i ett politiskt parti, har kontaktat en politiker eller deltagit i en manifestation, vad kvinnor själva anser vara vilka faktorer som hindrar deras politiska deltagande samt om det finns ett samband mellan utbildning och kvinnors politiska deltagande. En enkätundersökning genomfördes i irakiska Kurdistan. Arbil, Dohuk och slemaniya, sammanlagt mottogs 200 enkäter. Resultaten visar att det politiska deltagande är högt bland de undersökta kvinnorna i alla deltagandeformerna.

This thesis studied which factors affect political participation among people with physical disabilities in Sweden.? The aim of the study was to test how Civic Voluntarism Model should explain the low political participation among people with physical disabilities in Sweden, through deep interviews.? Following research questions has been studied in the thesis:? How can the Civic Voluntarism Model, based on the time, communicative skills and economic resources, explain the low political participation of people with physical disabilities in Sweden??Which other factors, linked to accessibility, discrimination and legislation, are needed to further explain and understand the barriers to political engagement and participation for people with physical disabilities?? Results about treatment, clearer legislation, economic possibilities and inclusion was central. It became important to considered that where is differences in which capabilities where are to political participation. The CVM could partly explain the low political participation among people with physical disabilities. It needs to be complete with external factors; accessibility, discrimination and legalization, to make more inclusive explanations.? .

Trots att skolan har lärande som sitt gebit vet man inte särskilt mycket om förutsättningarna för dess organisatoriska lärande, vilket anses nödvändigt för en organisations utveckling. Jag har därför valt att undersöka och identifiera de faktorer som är rimliga att anta att man kan applicera på skolans verksamhet - trots att den som organisation skiljer sig från vinstdrivande företag genom exempelvis begränsade ekonomiska resurser och komplexa organisationsstruktur. Den metod jag har valt är en kvalitativ litteraturstudie och i min teorigenomgång beskriver och förklarar jag begreppen organisation, lärande på individ- och gruppnivå samt lärande organisation. Därefter redogör jag, utifrån ett systemteoretiskt perspektiv, hur en lärande organisation kan uppnås. I min analys diskuterar jag sedan hur dessa förutsättningar kan uppnås i skolan utifrån områdena kultur, organisatoriska förutsättningar såsom struktur, gruppsammansättningar och ledarskap, samt kommunikation och reflektion.

Syftet med studien är att dels beskriva den studerade partnerskolans organisation i allmänhet, inklusive arbetslagen i synnerhet, dels analysera densamma. Målsättningen är att studien ska leda till organisationsmässiga förbättringsförslag som i sin tur kan bidra positivt till skolutvecklingen. I denna studie har intervjuer, enkäter och dagboksmetod använts. För att förstå hur främst lärarna och i viss mån ledningen och elever upplever och ser på organisationen, inkl arbetslagen, har relevant litteratur studerats för att kunna jämföra verkligheten med teorin och se om det går att hitta belägg/förklaringsorsaker för olika synsätt på organisationen. Resultaten pekar på ett missnöje med hela organisationen och ledningen från lärarna. De anser att organisationen är alltför byråkratisk och att de känner sig ?överkörda? genom att inte ha fått möjlighet att få vara med och påverka beslut.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur en balanserad styrning i praktiken påverkar verksamheters lärande och utveckling, samt hur en balanserad styrning i praktiken påverkar verksamheters förutsättningar att bli en lärande organisation. Balanserad styrning är en svensköversatt modell av balanced scorecard, en amerikansk styrform. Det teoretiska perspektivet i studien är miljöpedagogik och lärande organisation. Studien bygger på en hermeneutisk tolkande ansats, vilket syftar till att här skapa förståelse för hur en balanserad styrning fungerar i praktiken avseende lärande och utveckling samt hur den skapar förutsättningar för att bli en lärande organisation. Intervjuer har använts som datainsamlingsmetod, respondenter från två kommuner har intervjuats, och i varje kommun har en enhetschef och två medarbetare intervjuats.

The study tries to elucidate in which way the public middle managers in municipal care organisations experience their roles, which expectations the management of the organisation has on their roles and how a present organisation changes inflict on the contents of the role. The purpose of this master?s thesis is to study the organisational culture of two public libraries managed differently. One of the libraries in my study is run by the local bookstore and the other is run by a staff co-operative. My aim is to elucidate characteristic features in the culture of these two public library organisations. The questions I posed are which types of organisation culture can be identified in the two given examples and what the factors are that may be of importance for these cultures.

Studien uppmärksammar komplexiteten i relationen mellan socialt arbete och sociala medier, med fokus på narrativ kring socioekonomiska strukturer och dess konstruktion. ?Fattigbloggen? som personligt, offentligt och politiskt debattforum tjänstgjorde som exempel på ett i svensk kontext försök till omarbetning av existerande synsätt, vars dialog lade grunden för uppsatsens analytiska resonemang angående välfärdspolitikens hantering av strukturell ojämlikhet. Valet att använda tematiskt inriktad narrativ metod resulterade i slutsatsen att genomslag av sanningar som språkligt konstruerade fenomen underlättas av mediemiljöns möjlighet att nå ett vidsträckt upptagningsområde. Berättelser om kollisionen mellan organisation och allmänhet kunde därmed betraktas som tillräckligt inflytelserika för att etablera det dominerande sättet att se på socialtjänsten; ett faktum som tydliggjorde nödvändigheten med ökad mediemedvetenhet inom socialt arbete.

The following study is dedicated to investigate what kind of problems an organisation might stumble upon in the process of implementing a policy related to information security. Alongside investigating the eventual problems occurring in the implementation process of an organisation, the study also sets out to analyse how an organisation can motivate staff in order to follow the guidelines of a policy. The collection of empirical data was done using interviews. In order to seek answers to our research questions a theoretical background is presented that illustrate the need for information security after which motivational theories are applied to our collected data.To summarise the results of the study we find a gap of knowledge between the employees of the organisation. The organisational level of an employee together with the degree of participation in working with a policy seems connected to both the employee?s knowledge of a policy as well as how well the employee are motivated to learn about and follow the guidelines provided from a policy..

Syftet är att undersöka hur räddningsförbund integrerar, uppfattar och arbetar med värdegrund i organisationen.
