Mathematics is a central topic in today?s society. There are many different approaches each teacher has their own way. In this essay, I compare four teachers? mathematics teaching in two different countries with regard to ways of learning, particularly in the four operations.

Many problems can no longer be solved within the own state borders and the limitation of the territorial state is obvious. Jürgen Habermas means that a world domestic politic without a world government is what this progress need. Therefore it is important that national interests become less central and the solidarity between people is given priority in international relations. The focus of this thesis is therefore a critical discourse analysis of the current position of the internationalisation of Swedish security and defence policy.
Drama som ett pedagogiskt verktyg i värdegrundsarbete
A pupil with ADHD is constantly getting new impulses and is unable to focus and remain concentration on their task at school. When the pupil loses concentration he or she can often be loud and thereby disturbing all the other pupils in the classroom. One of the reasons for losing their concentration is that these pupils got poor working memory. A recently study shows that working memory can be improved by playing and practice music.A theory that all people have a multiple intelligence that emerges from learning is a part of this study because school should encourage all children and ensure their individual learning. Multiple intelligences means that each person learns in different ways, for example through the musical intelligence that this essay partly focuses on.
Subjektiv risk i trafiken - skillnad mellan kvinnor och män
Vi gör dagligen bedömningar av risker i situationer av alla de slag. Trafiken är en av de situationer där riskbedömningar är särskilt viktiga och hur korrekt bedömningen blir beror på hur vi upplever riskerna, vilket i hög grad varierar från person till person. Hypotesen i detta examensarbete är: Kvinnliga bilister upplever större subjektiv risk i trafiken än manliga bilister. Undersökningen av hypotesens giltighet utfördes med hjälp av intervjuer av 20 män och kvinnor. Frågorna syftade till att ta reda på deltagarnas subjektiva upplevelser av trafikrisker.

This two years master's thesis examines the experience of children who read to a dog. The theoretical framework is inspired by sociocultural theory developed by Roger Säljö and the concept carnival inspired by Mikhail Bakhtin. The sociocultural theory has been chosen because it emphasizes the role of practice, instruments and communication in learning and the concept carnival has been chosen to analyze the experience of reading to a dog.The method used is qualitative interview and observation. A total of eight interviews and two observations when children read to a dog have been collected. One interview is with a teacher and seven interviews are with the children (six children participated and one child was interviewed twice).
Estetiska vägar mot språket : En undersökande essä om estetiska lärprocessers påverkan på språkutveckling
My purpose with this essay is to examine the relationship between esthetic learning processes and language development to find good practices in my work with multilingual children. In my report, I describe a few activities from my work as a preschool pedagogue in a multicultural area, with a large group of children where age and knowledge of Swedish varies. The background to this essay is the problems I experienced in my work with children´s language development in an organization that, in my opinion, is limited by economic factors. The questions I poses are about the way esthetic learning processes can help children develop their language skills as well as their participation in preschool activities. I also pose the question whether there is a connection between the musical ear and children´s development of language.
Stora tankar blir små hus : Den politiska processen bakom byggandet av småstugor i Uppsala 1929?1936
Syftet för den här undersökningen är att försöka se och belysa vad som utmärker verksamheten i en barngrupp på en mångkulturell förskola. Detta syfte har delats in i tre frågeställningar- Vad har pedagogerna för pedagogiska tankar kring sin verksamhet?- Hur arbetar pedagogerna med språk?- Hur ser samarbetet mellan förskola och hem ut?Undersökningsmetoden för arbetet har varit kvalitativa intervjuer med fem pedagoger som arbetar med mångkulturella barngrupper.Resultaten jag har fått fram kring vad som utmärker sig under de olika frågeställningsrubrikerna visar att pedagogerna menar att de;- arbetar mer konkret än i icke mångkulturella förskolor, och att de försöker vara mer närvarande i barnens lek, för att hjälpa barnen med sin tvåspråkighet;- upplever att personal med annat modersmål än svenska är en stor tillgång i verksamheten, likväl som resursen modersmålspedagog, som finns i de rektorsområden jag gjort min undersökning i. De uppger även att de uppmuntrar barnen att använda olika språk i förskolan;- tycker att samarbetet mellan förskolan och föräldrarna fungerar bra, och att föräldrarna är delaktiga i verksamheten. De poängterar även att kontakten med föräldrarna är viktig, och att man måste vara tydlig, då det kan vara språkförbistringar..

The students participating in my development work will work with a process book for handicraft studies. In the beginning of their studies, the students need practical knowledge about the development of the profession itself, but they also need to be challenged and learn how to solve problems on their own which will help them gain a deeper knowledge of the subject. I focus on open questions to create a process with the students. This process is created when working with Solution-Focused-Education. Through ?assessment for learning? we can help the students to improve their self-assessment and understanding of the learning process.

There are different ways of developing a second language. The purpose of this qualitative study is to investigate whether and possibly how music, focused on singing, can improve the development of Swedish as a second language. Through interviews with three vocal teachers, from three different schools in Sweden, and observations of one of the vocal teachers, information about how they work and think about the subject has been collected. The vocal teachers teach groups of second language learners by singing songs made especially for second language learning. The vocal teachers consider singing beneficial in the development of the pronunciation and improvement of the prosody, which affects the students? capacity to sound like a native Swedish speaker.
Ökad användning av biodrivmedel i vägtransportsektorn : en styrmedelsanalys
The Swedish road transport sector relies almost completely on fossil fuels. In 2007, as much as 96 percent of the total sales of fuels was made up of petrol and diesel, while at the same time the share of total emissions of greenhouse gases in Sweden that came from road transports amounted to close to 30 per cent. Sweden is by no means worse off than any other European country in these respects. In order to address the questions of high oil dependence and CO2 emissions the European Commission has proposed a reinforcement of the legislative framework, with a 10 percent minimum for the market share of biofuels in 2020. Furthermore, the proposed target is binding for the member states, unlike the current voluntary target of 5.75 percent by 2010.
More than doubling the usage of biofuels in only a bit more than a decade will most likely not be possible without policy interventions.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the real aggregated consumption and empirically determine its exogenous variables. A multiplicative analysis is done in the context of government stabilization policy to find out how policymakers can execute a stimulus package that will bring the best multiplicative effect to the economy The conclusion of the study is that real income, net financial assets and real-estate price index are all statistically significant. An effective expansive fiscal policy is a public-financed investment in the private sector. Coordination is going to be crucial when stimulus package is developed due to the fact that leakage in the form of imports will prevent the expected multiplicative effect..
"Alla har en mobiltelefon" : En attitydundersökning kring införandet och användandet av mobiltelefonen som pedagogiskt redskap
Syftet med denna uppsats är att genomföra en studie av pedagogers attityder till mobiltelefonen som ett pedagogiskt redskap. Fokus i denna uppsats ligger på att identifiera några vanligt förekommande attityder och diskutera dem mot bakgrund av teorier kring maktutövning, motståndet mot den tekniska implementeringen och generationers specifika användarmönster. I forskningsbakgrunden behandlas även mobiltelefonens framväxt och funktion i dagens samhälle, m-learning och mobiltelefonens för- och nackdelar i den pedagogiska undervisningen. Undersökningen genomfördes dels med hjälp av enkäter, dels med hjälp av fokusgruppsintervjuer i både årskurs fyra och årskurs åtta. Med hjälp av forskning inom området har sedan resultatet analyserats och diskuterats.
Flyktingpolitik och spårberoende : En jämförelse av svensk och finsk flyktingpolitik
The essay aims to compare Swedish and Finnish decisions regarding refugee policies by tracing them back to the critical junctures when the policies were established, in order to explain why there are big differences prevalent today. The questions asked involve the motivations of the refugee policies and how they have changed over time.The theoretical framework employed is based on historical institutionalism and path dependency. By using a most similar system design and process tracing, material in the form of government declarations and government bills are studied and summed up in two analytical models. The results show that there might be a weak path dependency in the case of Finland. However it is more apparent in the case of Sweden, with frequent statements of a generous refugee policy that is characterised by humanity.
Småbarnsavdelningar - bara barnpassning eller? : En kvalitativ studie om verksamheten på småbarnsavdelningar
In the curriculum for Swedish pre-school the focus is mainly on five concepts. These are care of the children, learning, influence, rearing and security. These concepts are to characterize the activities of the pre-school in Sweden.Back in time the focal point of pre-school activities for young children was mainly on security. The learning part became more prominent as the children grew older. When speaking to teachers and parents I do sense that some believe this is the case even nowadays.
