Förskollärarens roll i barns lek : En studie om förskollärares syn på sitt deltagande i barns lek

The purpose of this study is to gain knowledge about how teachers in preschool regard their participation in children's Play. Through this study you will get an insight into how teachers' involvement affects children's learning. I have chosen to look at the study from a socio-cultural perspective.The study is based on qualitative interviews with four pre-school teachers.The result shows that teachers believe that it is important to attend in children's Play to support, challenge and develop their Play. One sees that teachers take different roles based on the needs of the children?s group, such as actively participate in the Play, being a supportive teacher, serve as inspiration or to be an observer.

Leken : En studie om pedagogernas syn på lekens betydelse inom förskolan

The aim of this study was to investigate whether teachers are involved in children´s Play, what their perspectives are on the importance of Play and what conditions teachers have to stimulate children in their Playing. In this study, I?ve been able to verify that Play has a great value for children?s learning development. My method have been interviewing four teachers at a kindergarten in order to examine educators? perspective on the importance of Play.The results of my investigation showed that teachers believe that Play and role- Play have a major impact on children's learning.

Barns samspel i rollek : En studie om hur barn i rollek utvecklar social kompetens

this paper is a study on children's social interactions in role-Play. The aim is to try to highlight how children with other develop social skills and how to further motivate children tosee, understand and manage their reality in role-Play by highlighting the characteristics of afunctioning role-Play. I would also highlight the importance of pedagogue´s role in relation tochildren's social skills in role-Play. The purpose flows into these issues, what distinguishes afunctioning role-Play? Can the children in role-Play influence their thinking to developunderstanding of others and the environment and if so, how? What significance does pedagogue´s role in children's role-Play? I used out of a qualitative methodology to carry out this investigation.

 This essay is about how the educators can use the Play as a tool to develop childrens social skills with eachother. The work is based on a qualitative study using a survey, where the educators can tell how they work within the Play. I chose to use five different participants in my essay. All of them work in the same preschool, south of Stockholm.In this essay I have two questions. These two are:What do the educators tell about the importance of Play for children's interaction?How do the educators tell how they work with the Play to develop the children?s social interaction?Previous research shows that Play gives the children opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.

Lek på förskolan : En observationsstudie om barns lek och vuxnas deltagande i lek på två förskolor

The study which has been made is a qualitative observational study where Play forms and participation of adults were observed in two preschools. The word Play is defined in the study with an ?as-if? ?nature based on Knutsdotters definition which differs Play and activities from each other. The observed Play form has been analyzed according to the concept of imitation and imagination Play. To get a complete base of the study a few children on some occasions drew what they Played or would like to Play.Through photographs of these drawings and how the children described and explained what they drew a connection could be made with the children?s Play forms.

The aim of this project was to develop a product which gives one or more objects of daily use an additional function. Thru the creativity of children the object shall transform into a new source for Play for pre-school children.The purpose of this work was to research how fantasy and free Play of children could be enhanced. I wanted to know how I can motivate children to use their fantasy transforming objects into new sources for Play.This was achieved by means of developing a number of different prototypes which I tested in Kindergarden. My observations lead to the development of a cloth-wrap for the chair which provides the required source for ongoing role-Play. The chair suddenly transforms into a new landscape and multi-purpose object where children?s fantasy is stimulated and creative Play is supported..

The purpose of my study is to examine how the Hospital Play Specialists looks at the importance of Play for children in the hospitalenvironment. The thesis is based on qualitative research interviews. This means that respondents followed an interview guide with questions. These questions I compiled in advance. The main theme in the interviews has been the characteristics and importance of Play.

The purpose of this thesis is to study five pedagogue?s view of the free Play and their view of the importance of the free Play for children´s learning and development. I have chosen to use a qualitative research method in the form of interviews with five pedagogue´s from a preschool. The main research questions asked were:What have the pedagogues of view on the free Play? How important believe the pedagogue that the free Play is for children?s learning and development? What has emerged in the study is that educators have a positive view of the free Play. They believed that the free Play is important for children´s skills.

Investigation of the reward cycle associated with play behaviour in lambs

The aim of this study was to investigate if behaviour, ear positions and cortisol in lamb which were given access to Play followed the different phases of the reward cycle of anticipation, consumption and relaxation. The study was done on 8 Dorset and 12 Dorset x Fine Wool uncastrated male lambs with an average age of 10 weeks. The lambs were housed pairwise in litter pens (2 x 3 m). Pairs of lambs were taken to a Play arena (5.9 x 5.5 m) three times a week during five weeks (first week for learning). They were then first kept in a holding pen where they could look into the Play arena for 5 minutes and thereafter released for 20 minutes in the Play arena which had a ball, two chains and a tunnel.

I have made some observations by participating in these children?s Play at an accommodation. My interest arouse when I worked as holiday substitute at an accommodation for disabled children.The purpose with the study is to carry out participation observations and look for signs and events that show the importance of children?s Play.

The purpose with this study was to find out about the preschool toddler?s peer-cultures. I also wanted to understand how these peer-cultures were shown.My questions are as following:What is it that the children interpretive and reproduce in their Play?How do children gain access to Play?How do children exclude each other?What position of status can be seen in children´s Play?I used observations as the method to find the answer to these questions. These observations where implemented during five occasions at two different preschools.

ROLLIN? -public furniture with play value

The aim in this project was to spread Play in the city and acrossgenerations. My way of approaching this challenge was to explore theborderland between Playground equipment and street furniture. Thisopened up many possibilities to afford Play in places where Playgroundequipment often is excluded.The goal was to create one, or more, furniture with Play value. The targetgroup was all vivasious people spending time in the public outdoorspace. Through user studies, a lot of serious Playing and a lot of testing,the project resulted in a bench called Rollin´.

AbstractIn this essay, I have performed a study on peer cultures and how these peer cultures are expressed in a group of pre-school children. My questions are as following:What positions/power positions can be seen in children?s Play, and how will these be expressed?How do the children gain access to Play?How do children act when they want to exclude other children?In order to understand this I have chosen to do observations as a method. In order to investigate these questions I chose to spend six whole mornings with a group of pre-school children, closely observing their behavior. The focus was on children, three years of age or older.

Om leken i nödvändigheten

This study aims to examine Play as a phenomena from a phenomenological approach. This I do by discussing a dominant approach to Play, an perspective which is reproduced in the context of pre-school and in where the Play and learning is in single focus. Using alternative perspective on Play, mainly by Gadamer and Bakthtins philosophical thoughts about the feast or the carnival, contents differ significantly from educational or developmental psychology perspectives. I open up for an understanding of what Play as ontology can be understood as, and thereby enable second readings. I illustrate this thought by an empirical example from a pre-school context which where created alongside with the children in the study.

Matematik i förskola : En studie av lek i undervisning

The purpose of my study is to examine how four preschool teachers go about using the term Play in children's early mathematical development. In order to fulfill the purpose of this study, I have the following questions:How the preschool teachers visualize mathematics in children?s Play?What reflections have the preschool teachers about the importance of Play for children's mathematical learning in preschool?How do the preschool teachers see on their own role in the children's Play?In this study, I have conducted a semi-structured qualitative interviews based on the interviews with four preschool teachers from various departments in a preschool. I have also conducted some observations to complete my study. Whereas in my analysis of the researched material, I have used Vygotsky's theory.The survey shows that the preschool teachers are aware of the use of mathematical language and concepts in children?s different activities which were conducted daily in the preschool.
