Sammanfattning: Bakgrund: Patienter med karpaltunnelsyndrom (CTS) är vanligt förekommande inom vården. Prevalensen är 4 % av befolkningen. Många har haft sina besvär länge vilket påverkar aktivitetsutförandet och sömnen negativt. Anamnes och bedömnings-instrument ger arbetsterapeut underlag till diagnostisering och interventioner. Tidig diagnostisering och arbetsterapeutiska interventioner möjliggör för ett bättre resultat.

In the process of making carton boards into Skoghall Mill, are great quantities of water being contaminated. This water has to be treated before it is possible to release into the recipient, Kattfjorden. One of the contaminations that is important to extract from the wastewater, is organic carbon (measured as TOC-total organic carbon) because microbiological breakdown can lead to the bottom becomig free of oxygen.The wastewater treatment at Skoghall Mill is done through an external wastewater treatment that is located at the factory. The biological treatment (aerated lagoon) is a 140 000 m3 water pool with surface aerator, which is give oxygen to the water. In the lagoon live microorganisms who performs the biggest part of the TOC-reduction.One problem with the lagoon is that the treatment of TOC is considerably worse during wintertime than during summertime.

This report describes how a terminal for Telias Telesvar could be designed. Telesvar terminal will show in a display if anyone called you and show the incoming number. It will also play the spoken message in a built in speaker.

The invasive species raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) is currently under establishment Sweden and it is vital to discover invading individuals to prevent colonization. The use of wildlife cameras to discover dispersing raccoon dogs have been implemented in the north-European raccoon dog management program. In this study, I test the ability of four commercially available scent lures to attract raccoon dogs to camera stations. The study was conducted in the Åland Islands where raccoon dogs are abundant and the results could improve the effectiveness of the camera stations used in the program. I used 12 sites with five camera stations in each and tested the four lures and one control with no lure in each site.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur ett pedagogiskt spel för grundskolans senare år som övar geometriska begrepp kan utformas samt huruvida det kan fungera som ett givande komplement till befintliga material för geometrisk begreppsinlärning. Spelet, som kom att kallas MATERMINO, testades av 33 elever (15 flickor och 18 pojkar) i skolår 6. Dessa elever samt tre lärare för grundskolans senare år bedömde sedan spelet; de förstnämnda i enkäter och de senare i intervjuer. MATERMINO bedömdes främst passa elever i skolår 6-8. Vidare visade studien att MATERMINO var omtyckt och roligt och att spelet tycktes leda till inlärning gällande geometriska begrepp.

Ruins and derelict places have since long fascinated and attracted humans. With my starting point in the wild vegetation and the spontaneous activities taking place on derelict land and in industrial ruins, I explore with help from the theoretical sociology, what creates not only this fascination but also fear. The purpose of the thesis is to explore and exemplify how the industrial ruin as a place outside the restrictions and control as well as design intentions of modern society can be used as an inspiration in a landscape architecture context.The modern city consists of areas and places with a well defined purpose. A piece of derelict land or a disused building is instead ambiguous, undefined and open for new purposes. However described in negative terms, these placesare often perceived as places of mystery and magic.

Syftet med detta arbete är att kartlägga ytjämnheten på stålbanden efter kallvalsning samt hur den erhålla ytjämnheten påverkas av trimvalsningen. Detta för att undersöka om det är möjligt att minska ner användandet av någon valsyta i Tandemverket vid SSAB Borlänge. Genom att mäta ytjämnheten på stålband av olika kallvalsade kvalitéer efter kallvalsning och trimvalsning, mäta ytråheten på texturerade valsar före och efter användning samt genomföra test med nya ytkombinationer har ett antal resultat genererats. Två test där Docol 200 band som skulle levereras med bandyta 23 valsades med en grövre yta i Tandem (valsyta 48 istället för 34) än vad som är brukligt och sedan trimvalsades med ordinarie valsyta visade att det är möjligt att klara kraven på Ra-värde för bandyta 23 även på band som kallvalsats med en grövre valsyta än i vanliga fall. Dock är det inte säkerställt att kraven för yta 23 alltid kan uppnås på band kallvalsade med grövre valsyta.

This thesis is about the interaction between composition, notation and interpretation and what occurs between the fields with an extended notation.The purpose of my thesis is to examine the possibilities tothoroughly describe and map the sounding samples through composition prototypes.The thesis has a qualitative approach, and the empirical material consists of different documents about notation and from interviews with musicians and students about the instruments used in the thesis.It also consists of 17 compositions recorded at Örebro University School of Music as an appendix.The analysis shows that the context in which the symbols are found, play an important role in performing them. This thesis was developed as an assignment from Ludosity Interactive where the goal was to develop a copy of the Xbox Live Indie Games-marketplace from the Xbox 360. Ludosity Interactive had a necessity to easily test a game's attractiveness to potential customers using testing people from outside the company in a simulated Xbox Live Indie Games test environment; excluding this developed system there is no other way to do such an analysis without actually releasing the game on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace and then analyze the resulting sales from the product.The finished system had to be similar to the original system to the degree that a user could see past the interface itself and use the system just as he/she would have used the real marketplace. It also had to be easy to change and add games to the system so that Ludosity Interactive easily could show the games and the data that they deemed interesting for their tests. The aim of this thesis is to make a contribution to the field of design oriented theory, regarding young children and their way to digital competence. My research question is: How can a preschool with a certain pedagogical ICT-design give the children affordances for media play and for developing a digital competence?The European Parliament points out digital literacy as one of the Key Competences for life long learning. A digital competence is built on basic ICT (Information and Communication technology) skills. Skills you can develop any time during life, weather you are young or old.

Detta kandidatarbete är utarbetat på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola under våren 2002. I utredningen har vi jämfört röstigenkänningsprogram under en treårsperiod, program från 1999 och program från 2002. 1999 års test visade på programvaror med lång träningstid, enkla gränssnitt, stor känslighet för bakgrundsljud och låg användbarhet. Vid arbetsstart förväntade vi oss inte att hitta någon större förändring i användbarheten hos dessa program 2002, då röstigenkänningsprogram inte verkar ha stor användarskara. Utifrån följande hypotes har vi genomfört arbetet: Vi vill med vår undersökning bevisa att användbarheten inom röstigenkänningsteknologi inte har förbättrats under perioden 1999-2002.

Development and construction of an electronic Breakout box is the main work for this thesis. The box is a part of a test system for the component Fuel Flow Transmitter and should convert signals to be suitable for a frequency counter. A previously constructed Breakoutbox for this purpose is being old and needed to be recreated. So SAAB Aerotech, Aircraft services, the company for the thesis work wanted to construct a new, more sustainable Breakoutbox adapted to a more modern technology. The signals to the box comes from the transmitter and should be converted to suitable signals for a frequency counter so it can show pulse and time difference between the signals.
