Dagens planeringsideal innebär en hållbar stadsbyggnad som skapas genom förtätning och blandning av funktioner och trafikslag. Den täta staden argumenteras skapa möjligheter för människan att leva hållbart då bostäder, service och arbete finns inom korta avstånd. Däremot finns det ett annat perspektiv, genom att förtäta och blanda funktioner blir även störningarna i samhället större. En av dessa störningar är buller, som de senare åren har fått stark uppmärksamhet då det kopplats till många hälsoproblem. Målen med den täta staden och buller är inte förenliga.

The cost of transportation has strongly increased in the recent years, transportations which are a major part for the construction companies. Skanska Asphalt which is a part of Skanska Sverige AB has noticed that there are significant cost savings to be made with the purchasing of transports. The transports in this case is about asphalt, where the costs are about 10% of the outsourcing business turnover. The purpose of this thesis is to study the working practice that Skanska Asphalt are using today in controlling and time-writing, for the asphalt transportations. Resulting in recommendations on how to improve the working practice at Skanska Asphalt.This study was conducted with the help of a number of interviews with Skanska?s employees and with suppliers of transportation to describe the practices which are being used in during the asphalt transportation.

I denna uppsats undersöks översiktligt hur byggandet av flerbostadshus högre än två våningar med stomkonstruktion av trä har genomförts i Sverige under 2000-talet. Nybyggande av flerbostadshus med stomkonstruktion av trä studeras i förhållande till hållbarhet, säkerhet och utformning. De stora stadsbränderna i Sverige föranledde ett förbud med byggnadsstadgan år 1874 mot att bygga fler än två våningar med stomme av trä. Detta förbud rådde ända fram till år 1994, under 120 års tid. I flera andra länder råder det fortfarande inskränkande bestämmelser mot trä. Sverige ligger i framkant med byggande av trästommar i Europa. Byggnadsmaterialet trä klarar idag de tekniska kraven för stomkonstruktioner i kombination med andra material.

Sammanfattning Detta examensarbete behandlar problematiken mellan en växande stad och strävan att nå hållbar utveckling, d vs hur vi skall minska vår negativa påverkan på vår miljö och omgivning, utan ?nna ett sett att nå sådana strukturer som inte urholkar naturens naturtillgångar, den ekonomiska välfärden, det demokratiska systemet eller vårt kulturella arv. Då en stad står inför behovet att expandera är det viktigt att fråga sig hur detta kan ske samtidigt som utbyggnaden skall verka för den hållbara utvecklingen. Detta är en mycket intressant men komplex fråga som jag i detta arbete försöker närma mig. Arbetet är dock inte skrivit med ambitionen att lösa denna stora fråga, utan är ett anspråkslöst försök att närma mig ett av de synsätt på hur vi kan skapa hållbara strukturer i en stad som expanderar. I sökandet har jag tagit fasta på hur vi genom infrastrukturen och bebyggelsestrukturen kan bidra till att skapa hållbara strukturer.

SAMMANFATTNING I Örebros översiktsplan från 2010 nämns tre förslag, nedgrävning, överdäckning och upphöjning av järnvägen för att minska dess störnings och barriäreffekter. Syftet med examensarbetet är att göra ett planförslag utifrån det förslag från Örebro kommun som mest minskar barriäreffekterna av järnvägen, bäst länkar samman Väster och centrum och svara på frågeställningen. För att genomföra det har två analyser utförts. En litteraturstudie med material från bland annat Jane Jacobs och Jan Gehl. Inventeringar för att hitta den befintliga grönstrukturen, infrastrukturen, bebyggelsestrukturen och rumsstrukturen.

En god och fungerande stadsdel utanför stadskärnan kräver omsorgsfull utformning. I stadens utkant finns inte samma underlag för urbant liv och därför ställs höga krav på planeringen. En ny stadsdel måste möta sin omgivning och ses utifrån staden som helhet. I mitt arbete har jag lyft fram vikten av att förhålla sig till omgivande områden, landskapet samt stadskärnan och ta till vara på deras kvalitéer. Det nya området måste också tillföra den befintliga omgivningen kvalitéer.

The study aims to reduce energy consumption in apartment buildings where individual metering and charging of heat is applied. The aim is to develop Planning and design for individual metering and charging in apartment buildings.The study is based on literature review, interviews and case study that include analysis of existing documents. Interviews were carried out with the property developer and the involved consultants who planned the apartment building Yasuragi. To investigate the differences the condominium association has noted in heat consumption between flats, the debit values of the heat were used to discern which houses that were furthest from the average consumption. On these flats there were temperature measurements and thermal photo shoots made for discriminating behavior and possible construction techniques which could be the explanation for the heat spread.Boverket shows that the consumption of heat can be reduced by 10-20% after insertion of individual metering and charging in an apartment block.

The shape and arrangement of the outdoor environment at a preschool has a critical impact on the possibilities to practice different pedagogic activities (Grahn et al.1997). At the preschool at Edwin Ahlqvists road, the employees are inspired by Reggio Emilia in their way of thinking, and they consider their outdoor environment is not suitable for the pedagogic activities they use. Reggio Emilia is a city in the north of Italy (Wallin 2001). The preschools there are famous for their pedagogy, their creativity and their democratic way of working (Dahlbech & Johansson 1986). The Reggio Emilia pedagogy is constantly renewed and developed, but with the children?s needs in focus and simultaneously with the quick changes of the modern society.

The way we design our cities today will affect the living conditions for future generations. Planning as a discipline can become crucial to attain a sustainable urban development with an increased quality of life among the urban population and an improved environment. Urban Agriculture in the Sustainable City -a case study in Managua is a Diploma Work that deal with poverty issues, aspects of sustainability and development work. We have had a theoretical starting-point, but our focus has been on the case study i.e. the practical part, that we carried out in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. Today about half of the worlds 6,3 billion people live in cities. The demographic growth of the countryside has declined, while the population in the cities is considerably increasing.

The Civil Engineering office in Skellefteå needs to develop the users' participation in the Planning of parks and playgrounds. In order to get such a procedure to work one have to find a method that can work in the daily activity. My work aims to find such a method and to implement it in practice. Apart from helping the Parks departement to find an functional method I will also develop a deepened knowledge about users?participation wich can be very useful i my future profession. This work can be divided in three stages.

Producing a building is a long and complex process. It consists of several parts, from the feasibility study and design stage onto the construction and finally the management of the building. The design process is a critical part of the process where construction plans are made. The quality of the plans affect the production phase in great extent and faulty plans can pose a risk for extra costs for all parts in the process. The cost of producing dwellings has increased the last years and the detail design process is one of many phases where improvements can mean cost savings within the whole building process.This report aims to point at parts within the detail design process which could be more efficient, regarding communication, follow-up and time Planning, and to give suggestions for improvements.

The need for roundwood transport capacity vary throughout the year. The need during a period is influenced mainly by the volume transported the period, the number of days during which transport can be carried out, seasonal variations in road conditions and the weight of the roundwood, and the origin of the wood (private forest owners/ forest companies). The need for transport capacity generally increase during the winter and in spring, after thawing. Lack of logging trucks combined with a lack of drivers for these trucks make it hard to hire extra help during periods of increased transport capacity needs. It is also very expensive to keep logging trucks for use only during these periods. In this thesis, two new concepts based on the partial transport by truck tractors have been examined, to find out the possibility for increased performance and flexibility.

Inflyttningen till städer idag är mycket stor och nybyggnationen av bostäder anses vara ett måste i de större städerna. Tanken om den täta staden med små förflyttningar och områden som är multifunktionella tar större och större plats i staden och då främst i de centrala delarna. I dessa skeden är det oftast park och naturmark som tas i anspråk. Men har inte de gröna områdena någon funktion för staden och för dess invånare? Det är detta jag undersöker i denna uppsats.
