Miljonprogramsområden tillförs ofta negativa attribut och ses av många som ett stort samhällsproblem. Därför är det viktigt att konkretisera vilka problem som finns för att bättre förstå hur de kan lösas. Två av dessa negativa attribut är ödslighet och rumslig förvirring eller svårigheten att skilja på vad som är privat, gemensam och offentlig miljö. Detta är uppsatsens fokus och konkretiseras genom en fallstudie av ett typsikt miljonprogramsområde. Fallstudien utförs på Byälvsvägen, Bagarmossen, i Stockholm. Genom rumslig analys och litteraturstudier samt intervjuer skapas en bild av ett område med många goda kvalitéer men också ett område som upplevs som otryggt. Statutory forms of public participation attract little interest since many people feel that it is hard to make a difference. This diploma work was performed because the company Sveriges BostadsrättsCentrum, with the abbreviation SBC, had a need to gain insight into how changes in the Work Environment Act and related regulations which took effect January 1, 2009 affecting their work with the work environment. The changes mean that the client may hand over his work environment responsibilities to a contractor and that he has to select so-called building work environment co-ordinators. At SBC they are working as representatives for tenant-owner's association when a construction is about to be carried out. The purpose was to ascertain how changes may affect the work at SBC. The diploma work intends to educate the staff at SBC how work with the work environment would look like if they met the regulatory requirements.

The purpose of the study was to find out how teachers in a school in Kenya conducted the education of mathematics in standard 4-6. The focus was how the teachers worked with children in need of special support in mathematics.To find out the purpose a case study was made with two interviews and seven observations with four teachers on a rural school in Kenya. The following issues were: Which standards were there in the classrooms during lessons in mathematics in Kenya? How did the teachers express the view of children in need of special support? The main conclusion was that different teachers teaching in mathematics looked the same.The teacher was standing in front of the blackboard where the teaching occurred and the pupils were sitting lined up in their benches. The teaching of the pupils was about repetition and imitates the teacher and mostly filling the gap that the teacher made them say.

Syftet med arbetet är att belysa tendenser som finns inom den kommunala planeringsretoriken gällande tillgänglighet till tätortsnära friluftsområden. Examensarbetet syftar även till att granska hur de utvalda kommunernas målformuleringar kring tillgänglighet till tätortsnära friluftsområden har konkretiserats i kommunernas översiktsplaner, om det går att finna samband mellan målformuleringarna och de statliga direktiv som finns samt om någon målkonflikt finns. From an anti-oppressive and a gender perspective, the aim of this paper is to examine whether three English teachers at a comprehensive school in Stockholm make gender conscious selections when selecting novels for their English literature lessons. Through quantitative research, semi-structured interviews and e-mail interviews with these teachers I have attempted to find out if they include both male and female writers when selecting English novels for their students and also what factors affect their selections. I have analyzed the interviews and the quantitative research by using a qualitative and a quantitative content analysis. The theories that I have established my analysis upon are gender theories about the male norm in society, the feminist Simone de Beauvoir?s ideas about the woman as a second gender and the sociologist Raewyn Connell?s gender regimes.

Title: The competent teacher-external and internal frameworks and their influence on educational praxis. This thesis is about what kind of approach a teacher (may) consider when he is facing parameters that he can not do anything about, in this case represented by political, educational och social frameworks. One of the things a teacher can do to adapt to the situation is to see what possibilities he has to develop and expand his topic. The study is built on action research and was carried out during a nine months period on an upper secondary school in Malmö, Sweden. The object of reasearch is myself as a teacher and in my result I describe how various educational situations were handled.

Det här är en uppsats omfattande 15 högskolepoäng i ämnet fysisk planering. Uppsatsens titel är ?mellankommunal översiktlig planering ? möjligheter och begränsningar? och undersöker vad begreppet innebär, både i lagens mening och i praktiken, vilka frågor som kommunerna är beredda att samplanera om och hur de gått eller tänker gå tillväga. För att konkretisera frågeställningen har tre stycken fall med olika karaktär valts. Den slutliga frågeställningen handlar om vilka likheter och skillnader som finns i dessa valda fall. En av dessa kollektiva resurser är det offentliga grönområdet och grönskan är viktig för människan och staden. Denna uppsats behandlar konflikten som uppstår när staden blir tätare och grönområdet riskerar att påverkas av den växande staden. Studiens resultat består av två delar.
