Syftet med denna fallstudie är att undersöka på vilket sätt VisitSweden arbetar med Sveriges varu­märke mot internationella turister och besökare, samt hur de samarbetar med besöksnäringen för att stärka varumärket Sverige. Metodmässigt har vi genomfört en fallstudie på VisitSweden vars uppdrag är att marknadsföra Sverige till internationella turister och besökare. Vi har genom­fört kvalitativa intervjuer med marknadschefen på VisitSweden och aktörer i besöksnäringen. Fallstudien visar att VisitSweden i samarbete med NSU (Nämnden för Sverigefrämjande i Utlandet) arbetar med en strategi för Nation branding. Detta för att stärka Sverigebilden.

The aim of this study is through a teacher perspective illustrate and analyze how preschool teachers apprehend children´s learning in relation to the preschool yard.The main research questions asked were:How do preschool teachers apprehend the preschool yard in reference to it as a place?In what way do preschool teachers use the preschool yard in their work with the children?How do preschool teachers view the preschool yard and the significance it has on children´s learning?The research is based on data collected through interviews and observations at four different preschools in the same municipality. The research views place and people as social constructions, a theory of knowledge that is based on the view that the world, places and people are constructed in relation to each other. This perspective as well as previous research is used for analyzing the data collected through a qualitive study based on interviews. The data analyzed show that the preschool teachers involved in this research apprehend the preschool yard as a central part in the learning of young children.

This paper is about cemetaries in a multireligious society. The aim of the work is to compare the physical expressions of different religions burial traditions, in order to plan a multireligious cemetary in Borås. I´ve studied the five worldreligions, Judaism, Chritstianity, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism. I´ve also written about the Humanism, a nonreligious organization, and funerals without any religious connection. Litterature studies gave basic knowledge about the religions beliefs, and interviews with a person from each group deepend the knowledge, mainly regarding the burial traditions.

The essay's aim is to explain how responsibility distribution between private and public bodies, primarily within three important service areas, can be visualised in light of the fact that they have experienced different forms of readjustment. We have chosen to study this by looking at the restoration work taking place after the hurricane Gudrun swept across southern Sweden on January 8-9, 2005; and we have chosen to concentrate on the service areas of electricity- and telephone supply, and public transport. The responsibility distribution has been depicted by carrying out qualitative interviews with employees within both private and public bodies included in the restoration work. The conclusion produced is that there were obscurities in the formal responsibility distribution between private and public actors taking place in conjunction with the hurricane restoration work.In a deeper analysis, the result can be explained by a ?several hands? problem arising since the number of actors has increased as the public sphere has adopted leadership forms influenced by the private business sector.

Denna uppsats handlar om tv-spelsrecensionen som textgenre. Syftet meduppsatsen är att undersöka hur ett antal aspekter av språket utvecklasmellan 1996 och 2005 och jag utgår från två frågeställningar:1. Hur ser de utvalda aspekterna på språket ut i texterna?2. Hur kan resultaten förklaras?Tre hypoteser ställdes upp innan arbetets början.

Jag har studerat en liten torgbildning på Hisingen, Göteborg, i området Jättesten. Platsen är intressant då den har många besökare trots att den ligger vid sidan av de större stråken. Platsen har en del gestaltningsproblem och stora nivåskillnader, som gör den svår och otillgänglig. Intresset för torg och offentliga rum är större än någonsin och välgestaltade gemensamma platser har anlagts i nya bostadsområden såsom Norra Älvstranden i Göteborg, Hammarby sjöstad i Stockholm och Västra hamnen i Malmö. Men vad händer med förortstorgen från efterkrigstiden? Hur används 40-, 50- och 60-talets torg idag? I mitt examensarbete har jag också studerat olika torgstrukturer från olika epoker under 1900-talet då byggnadsidealen skilt sig åt.

Med anledning av det ökade trycket för etableringar i Kalix centrum har kommunen bedömt att det finns behov av att förnya den fördjupade översiktsplanen för Kalix centralort. Köpmän efterfrågar attraktiva butikslägen samtidigt som det finns behov av varierande boendeformer som ger förutsättningar för en stad med mångfald, där människor i alla åldrar kan leva, bo och verka. Kommunen har dessutom starka ambitioner vad gäller att stärka de offentliga rummens roll i Kalix centrum, med utgångspunkt från människors behov och den mänskliga skalan, för att kunna skapa ett livaktigt och varierat stadsliv under dygnets alla timmar och som är attraktivt och tillgängligt för alla. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att utföra en grundlig stadsanalys utifrån tre väl etablerade metoder: Kevin Lynchs visuella analys, Jan Gehls analys samt Bill Hilliers rumsligt strukturella metod (Space Syntax). Stadsanalysen belyser stadens kvaliteter och brister, för att utifrån dessa formulera förslag till åtgärder i den fysiska strukturen, i syfte att öka stadslivet i Kalix centrum.

The society of suburbs is frequently discussed in media, which often focus on the problems related to these areas. The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine how Swedish contemporary youth literature may contribute to create, strengthen and articulate social representations of the society of suburbs. The analysis is based upon six youth novels published during 2003 to 2007. The theoretical framework consists of two parts and is based on Anthony Giddens? theories about late modern society in which the youth novels in our study take place, and those living conditions that this society creates.

In our everyday life we are constantly affected by sound; at home, on our way to and from work, when taking a walk through the woods and when we sleep. In discussions about sound one often talk about noise and to what degree a certain noise disturbs us. The positive qualities of a sound and what sounds contribute to the experience of a good environment is rarely discussed. The question of sound and the quality of sound is given more attention through the expansion of Stockholm, the city is becoming both bigger and more crowded. This raises new questions concerning the planning of the city e.g. should the changes of the sound quality in a place be one of the aspects taken into consideration when planning new buildings, are there ways to improve the sound quality in new building projects? Can we even improve the quality of sound in existing places by simple means? I have chosen to study four different areas in Stockholm; Hötorget, Mariatorget, Berzeliipark and Norrmalmstorg.

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur bedömningen av nationella prov i kursen Svenska B i gymnasieskolan ser ut med fokus på genre och grammatiska aspekter som hör till den argumenterande genren, samt att se huruvida bedömningen av detta har ändrats mellan 1996 och 2008. Först konstruerades en textanalysmodell som ligger till grund för analys av tre elevtexter från det nationella provets bedömningshäften från olika år (1996, 2002 samt 2008). Analyserna avser tes och argument, syntax, meningsfunktion, konnektivbindning samt stil och retorik. Sedan granskas bedömargruppens analyser av samma texter för att undersöka vad de fokuserar på i sin bedömning. Slutligen jämförs de olika analyserna med fokus på likheter och skillnader mellan dessa och bedömargruppens analyser från de olika åren. Vid denna jämförelse upptäcktes en skillnad i hur bedömargruppen har bedömt de olika texterna.

In this bachelor thesis, diagnostic methods for one of Siemens stem inlet control valves have been developed. The work has taken place during ten weeks at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB in Finspång. The company produce steam- and gas turbines and also provides service and maintenance. The purpose with this project has been to develop diagnostic methods that oversee the health of the control valves. By using the developed methods you will know when it?s time for maintenance.

The purpose of this study is, based on theories of gender and hegemonic masculinity, to studyhow masculinity and femininity is constructed and reproduced in one of the most popularSwedish podcast: Filip & Fredriks podcast. The main theory in this study is that gender issocially created and sustained by humans through language and interaction with others.The study's research questions is: How are gender roles/gender portrayed in Filip & Fredrik'spodcast? What characteristics are attributed to men and women in Filip & Fredrik's podcast?How does Filip & Fredrik's podcast represents conditions and power relations between menand women?Through an linguistic textual analysis, which is an application of discourse analysis, I seek toget beneath the surface meanings of texts and examine more implicit social meanings andideologies regarding gender. It includes an analysis of metaphors, word choices and syntax.The analysis shows underlying values and ideologies that indicates gender structures in abroader societal context. Choice of words and metaphores in Filip & Fredriks's podcastexpresses symbolism where men and male-typical attributes are highly valued, whilst womanand female-typical attributes is being devalued and representative of the opposite.Masculinities and femininities are also constructed and represented in various ways throughsentence constructions that guides the listeners in certain directions.

Often places for children and youth are planned how adults think children and adolescents want them, but we are often wrong. As a result, we find empty playgrounds while our target groups are building dens in the bushes, hanging around shopping areas, and so on. This report is an attempt to create a place for young people based on the opinions of their needs and their environment to better understand how to design a place that suits them well. To gain knowledge about how it is to be young in Simrishamn, a small township in the southwest of Sweden, I interviewed children and young adolescents. The interviews were all carried out in groups, mostly in larger groups inside where the result differed a lot depending on the settings for the interview. Two walkabouts with groups of three children were also made. Most of the children were eager to participate and tell about their reality, but some preferred not to.

Denna studie syftar till att ta reda på vilket språkligt lärande som blir möjligt iförskolans sångsamling för att därigenom kunna problematisera kring hur musicerandet kan bli till redskap för språkutveckling. För att kunna undersöka detta fenomen, söktes i olika typer av litteratur svaret på frågan hur barn lär sig talspråket. Litteraturen visade bland annat att språket är ett mycket komplext system som kan delas upp i olika komponenter för att lättare förstås. De komponenter denna studie behandlar är språkets: innehåll, form och användning. Dessa tre komponenter innehåller olika delar: semantik, fonologi, fonetik syntax, morfologi och pragmatik som alla är viktiga för språkutvecklingens helhet.
