The cause of fibromyalgia has long been unknown but recent studies has shown that disturbance in the central pain modulation may be the cause. The aim of the study was to examine what kind of Physiotherapy and close related treatment methods in the treatment of fibromyalgia there are and to determine their evidence. Articles were obtained by searching through the databases PubMed, Academic Search, AMED/Webspirs, CINAHL/webspirs and PEDro for articles published from 1994 and ten years forward. The study was based on thirty articles that met the criteria for inclusion. To assess the quality of the clinical studies the SBU?s evaluation model was used.

Mellan 60 och 80 procent av befolkningen i västvärlden kommer någon gång att drabbas av ländryggssmärta. Av sjukpenningkostnaderna står ryggvärk för den enskilt största diagnosen. Målet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka om traktion har någon effekt vid utstrålande smärta från ländryggen. Artiklar från de senaste 20 åren söktes i databaserna Medline, Cinahl, Amed, Cochrane, PEDro och PubMed. 19 studier inkluderades i studien.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur patienter upplevde en sjukgymnasts metodik i samband med utlärningen av hemträningsprogram de fått ordinerade i rehabiliterande syfte för sina skador. Dessutom undersöktes hur väl sjukgymnastens metodik gällande hemträningsprogram stämde överens med tidigare forsknings rekommendationer, och ifall samband kunde ses mellan patienternas följsamhet och de faktorer som påverkar den. Undersökningen var en modifierad fallstudie och genomfördes med relativt högt strukturerade telefonintervjuer. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av sju patienter som alla hade ordinerats hemträningsprogram ifrån samma sjukgymnast, för olika typer av skador. Resultatet av studien visade på att patienterna upplevde mottagningens metodik som väl fungerande.

The aim with the study is to find key factors relating to internal marketing and to improve the process between the operating organization and its customers. A qualitative study is carried out within an organization active in the Swedish healthcare. The qualitative approach is carried out by collecting empirical data through observations, personal interviews and group interviews.The Physiotherapy Clinic at the Karolinska University Hospital is in the focus of the empirical study. The study locates existing differences in perceptions and comes up with recommendations for actions to improve the process of organisations within the Swedish healthcare and their customers. The study's results are that internal marketing can bring a lot to service-selling organizations and that the organizations internal conditions are as important as the external ones.Communication appears to be a key factor for an organization that has applied internal marketing.

Det är vanligt att en patient med reumatoid artrit (RA) förr eller senare behöver ersätta sin höftled/leder med plastik. Efter en höftplastikoperation är vissa rörelser olämpliga för patienten att utföra. Idag finns inget status för bedömning av patienter med RA, som samtidigt tar hänsyn till en eventuell höftplastik. Syftet med den här studien var att utforma ett kliniskt användbart status för bedömning av RA-patienter som har höftledsplastik. Syftet med studien var också att statuset ska bidra till att göra statustagning för RA-patienten säkrare, i avseende att minska luxationsrisken.

The aim of the study has been to investigate physiotherapists? view on a new method of treatment in Physiotherapy. In this case we have studied Whole Body Vibration training as an example of a new method of treatment. Semistructured interviews were performed with five physiotherapists. The study was carried out as a qualitative content analysis study.

At the beginning of the period a critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

Syfte: Syftet var att finna skillnader och samband i self-efficacy (SE) ? med avseende på typ av artroplastik, kön och ålder ? inför två förflyttningar. Detta för att se vilka patienter som kan vara i större behov av att stärka SE postoperativt.Metod: Studien gjordes på inneliggande patienter som genomgått en höft- eller knäartroplastik. Ett för undersökningen framställt frågeformulär undersökte de 117 deltagarnas SE inför att sätta sig upp på sängkanten samt gå med hjälpmedel. Deltagarna skattade SE inför förflyttningarna första eller andra dagen efter operationen.Resultat: Deltagare som hade genomgått en knäartroplastik skattade signifikant högre SE inför att sätta sig upp på sängkanten än de som hade genomgått en höftartroplastik.

The treatment is aimed to increase the body control and conscious breathing but also requires mental awareness.Aim: The aim of this study is to, based on social cognitive theory, describe patients' experiences of BBAT performed as group therapy.Method: The study design was qualitative with an inductive approach. Five people were interviewed after a BBAT group treatment in primary care. The data was collected by individual interviews with semi-structured questions and the interviews were analysed by qualitative content analysis.Result/Conclusion: The participants experienced increased body awareness and implemented BBAT strategies even though the treatment frequency was insufficient. BBAT was described as helpful used to regulate intensity level, stress management and facilitate breathing.

Syfte: att undersöka om resultatet vid 6-minuters gångtest (6MWT) påverkades av ökad grad av uppmuntran.Metod: 30 friska personer ?60 år rekryterades via bekvämlighetsurval. Alla testpersoner genomförde tre 6MWT. Första testet var en försöksomgång. Ett test (test A) utfördes med standardiserad uppmuntran enligt American Thoracic Society(ATS).

This study will focus on how patients that suffer from self-injurious behaviours experience the relation between their self and body according to some professionals. The purpose is to enlighten why a person who has mental problems chooses to injure his or her body. We believe that the reason behind this is based on the early attachment between the parent and child. We also believe that a person only continues with this behaviour if he or she gains from it. The research questions this study raises are:· How does a person with self-injurious behaviour experience the relationship between their body and their self?· What is the effect of self-injurious behaviour on the body and what is the effect on the relationship between their body and their self.· How did the relationship between body and self evolve?This study is qualitative and is based on interviews from our respondents of whom all work or have worked with self-injurious behavioural patients.
