I denna studie undersöks hur smak, status och klass uttrycks i reality-TV-programmen Färjan (Kanal 5) och Danspalatset Playa del Sol (TV3). I program som dessa får vi följa människor som åker på kryssningar, semestrar och shoppar, alltmedan vi förväntas skratta åt dem. De ämnen som dessa program behandlar är tätt förbundna med en förståelse av klass. Syftet med denna uppsats är således att belysa klassaspekter och smakhierarkier. Vidare kommer representationen av smak diskuteras i relation till klass och status. Utifrån denna förståelse av klass som relaterat till smak och status skall sedan klasspositionering i programmen undersökas.

AbstractThe aim of my study has been to investigate which expectations students at The Hotel and Restaurant Programme have for their futue working life and labour market. I want to investigate if these expectations are important factors that female dominance is large within the meal service sector. I have chosen to do qualitative interviews to discover these expectations.Some explanations that the respondent give for the gender differences within the restaurant and meal service sectors are the old tradition of male and female work. Furthermore the possibility of becoming well known within the market and the possibility for personal development in this market are described as important factors.The answers to my questions show that all respondents are positive to future work markets; also they all want to work within the restaurant sector and not in the meal service sector. The aim with this study is to investigate how the role of the teacher has changed and how society has influenced the teachers' situation in the 1960s and 2010s, with a focus on teaching in secondary school. Starting in the late 1980s when the concept of profession was introduced to the Swedish teachers, many claim that a deprofessionalization for teachers started at this time. Others say that already in the 1960s, the teachers status in the society started to decrease.The method I have used is a rethorical analysis of articles in Swedish Teacher Union Journals. I have also availed myself of one article in the newspaper and articles in online magazines. The rethorical analysis aims to investigate whether the articles give an enthusiastic or dystopian approach to the teaching role, in a similar way as Thomas Karlsohn have used the concepts..

In Sweden a person is either unlimited or limited liable to tax. It is important to define this status since the consequence of being unlimited liable to tax according to chapter 3 § 8 Swedish income tax law (1999:1229) is imposed tax on every revenue from Sweden and overseas. When deciding the fiscal status Sweden uses the principle of domicile which makes the home of the taxable person important.Despite domilication in another country a person can be considered to have such bonds to Sweden that they still should be unlimited liable to tax here. During the development of the Swedish communal tax law (1928:370) the term essential linkage was introduced. There are numerous factors which can affect this assessment but in case-law some factors have been considered more important than others.

In many developing countries, among them Vietnam, contamination of agricultural land is a major issue that has public health implications. A fast growing population, rapid urbanization and industrialization have led to air and water emissions of potentially toxic elements (PTEs), such as cadmium (Cd). Earlier studies have shown that individuals with low iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn) status absorb larger quantities of Cd than those of adequate nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the Fe and Zn intake from the foods consumed by women (15-45 years) in selected households in two agricultural villag-es in the Red River delta in Vietnam. In one of the villages the residents were involved in metal (mainly Fe) recycling activity, whereas in the other village the residents had agricul-tural production as main source of income. Interviews, followed by food intake calcula-tions, were performed.

Introduction: Dental health globally is not equally distributed as shown by caries prevalence is higher in areas with more immigration outside Scandinavia and Western Europe and areas with lower socioeconomic status. To reduce the health inequalities in Borås, a dental health project was made in five kindergartens in the district Hässleholmen. Purpose: The purpose of the survey was, by interviews with the actors involved (teachers, children, parents and the public dental service) find out the views of the project, and whether the project is relevant and should continue. Method: The method used was qualitative interviews with the actors involved in dental health project. A total of 21 interviews were then consolidated by a qualitative content analysis.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka svensklärares föreställningar om lärobokens roll i svenskundervisningen på gymnasieskolan. Enligt tidigare forskning dominerar läroboken i undervisningen i såväl Sverige som Norge men graden av läroboksanvändning kan vara kopplad till en rad olika faktorer. Några av dessa är undervisningsämnets struktur, lärobokens status och lärarens individuella lärarstil. Fyra yrkesverksamma lärare har intervjuats om hur de i sitt arbete förhåller sig till läroboksanvändning. Det tyngst vägande skälet mot att använda läroboken är att färdigproducerat material upplevs hämma kreativiteten.

Denna sociologiska uppsats behandlar frågor om grupperingar på fängelseanstalt. Syftet är att beskriva varför och utifrån vilka referensgrunder de intagna på anstalten i Halmstad interagerar med varandra. Uppsatsen gör ett försök till att besvara följande frågor:- Vilka personliga egenskaper, attribut, bakgrundsfaktorer eller anstaltsvillkor skapar grupperingar på anstalten i Halmstad?- Vilka attribut och faktorer är statusframkallande och hierarkiskapande?- Har de före detta intagna och personalen samma syn på grupperingar och statusframkallande attribut och faktorer?Uppsatsen bygger på kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer med före detta intagna samt anställda på anstalten i Halmstad. Resultatet av intervjuerna påvisar att det finns faktorer som är av större betydelse än andra, för vilka de intagna umgås med.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this medical record research was to study 30 patients with chronic subdural hematoma on a neurosurgical clinic, mapping documented nutritional status, preoperative fasting and hydration and energy supply before surgery. In addition peroperative administration of fluid and vasoactive drugs, as well as postoperative complications and length of hospital stay were studied. The mean age of the patients was 71 years. Nutritional status was evaluated in 12 patients, out of these seven were judged to be at risk for under nutrition. Fifteen patients had surgery day 1 (total fasting time on average m 11 h), eleven had surgery day 2(29 h), three had surgery day 3 (35 h).

   Syftet med föreliggande examensarbete är att undersöka hur barn positionerar sig i sin lek, vilken status dessa positioner har samt hur statuspositionerna förhåller sig till varandra. Som datainsamlingsmetod har observationer använts, både med hjälp av fältanteckningar samt videoinspelningar. Datainsamlingen ägde rum på två olika förskolor där barn i åldrarna tre till fem år observerades sporadiskt i cirka fyra veckor under tiden de hade fri lek. Empirin har analyserats utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv med hjälp av ett urval av tidigare forskning utifrån arbetets centrala teman, som redovisas i kapitlet litteraturöversikt. Resultatet visar med ett urval av episoder på hur barn skapar, upprätthåller och omförhandlar sin position i leken samt vilken statusposition ett barn tillägnas utifrån olika faktorer.

This thesis aims to explore how musicologists reason about publishing their articles in open-access journals. What is the challenge they face and what are the possibilities musicologists are concerned about? For the method I used open-ended and structured interviews based on four factors: trustworthiness, accessibility, reaching the readers and status of the publishing media. Musicologists are positive to the open-access concept and are willing to submit their papers to open-access journals. They think that the accessibility of the articles is going to increase when they publish them in open-access journals.

Its intention is to examine the contents of the Facebook statuses the Swedish parliament parties chose to publish in the final two weeks before the parliamentary elections in 2010. The key concepts used in the analysis are interactivity and multimodality. Aspects to be explored are interactivity of their status updates and how the parties used various multimodal objects.
