This paper will portray the differences and similarities that exist between students whoattended the Swedish School of Library and Information Science in Borås.The study is based upon quantitative information gathered from a survey which wasdistributed to first-year students in Borås in the auturnn term 1994. A total of 77 studentsresponded to the survey.We also do a comparative study of the students at all the library programs in Sweden.This is partially based on the findings by a thesis prior to this one by the authorsSvalstedt and Österdahl.We found that the students in Borås differ mainly in their personal histories and backgrounds.When it comes to their attitudes towards the profession and educationalmatters they are similar. Further we found the same to be tme in our comparison of thelibrary programs in total..

This paper is about teachers ?attitudes towards their pupils, both today and in the past. It describes various events with Adam, Elsa and Kajsa which I have observed at my preschool. Via a retrospective analysis I have attempted to understand how teachers ?views of their pupils has changed from the beginning of the century to the present day.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the lived experiences and treatment of Muslim women in their encounters with the social services. The primal themes for this study was: How does Muslim women experience the treatment of their case in the social services in a situation of need? How can the encounter and experience with the social services affect the clients trust in the social services?  What is the ideal treatment of women with a Muslim identity by the social services?The aim of this study was to investigate and capture the respondents lived perceptions and experiences with the social services, and thus the qualitative interview methodology was implemented to answer the research questions and hypotheses. Seven interviews with Muslim women were conducted in various districts of Stockholm, a city in northern Sweden. Five of the respondents were of ethnic Swedish origin and two were of other ethic origin.The results show that the majority of the respondents experienced a negative response at least once when in contact with the social services.

Outdoor recreation habits in metropolis and rural areasThis study aims to examine the perception of nature and outdoor recreation habits from an urban-rural prospective. The urbanization process continues in Sweden and the populations of the cities are growing continuously. Trends to build more compact and ?climate smart? reigns and with this a risk that green areas and areas where outdoor recreation can be practiced are situated further and further away from the urban population. Analyzing the responses from a survey made by the research program Friluftsliv i förändring 2007 we have examined if and which differences exists between urban and rural areas regarding their perception of nature, outdoor recreation habits and factors influencing the practice of outdoor recreation.

I min studie har jag valt att tolka fyra ungdomars upplevelser om vad de anser om hur föräldrars attityder och engagemang påverkar ungdomars motivation till skolarbete. Faktorerna som ungdomarna ansåg påverkade dem mest för att de skulle klara sina studieresultat var trygghet och kärlek. The Ben- Tovim Walker Body Attitudes Questionnaire (BAQ) contains 44 questions concerning the different aspects of body awareness: Feeling fat, Body disparagement, Strength and fitness, Salience of weight, Attractiveness and Lower body fatness. The purpose of this study was to investigate body awareness among men in military recruit training. BAQ was distributed to fifty recruits for military service in Boden.

At the same time, the role of contemporary art in Sweden?s society continues to grow and contemporary art has become more visible to the public. In the present work, we analyze the ?artistic freedom? concept by examining what it stands for and how it is being used.

De senaste decennierna har sjukvården förändrats. Förändringsarbetet är inspirerat av New Public Management genom införandet av reformer. Teorier och organisatoriska modeller som fungerat bra inom det privata näringslivet har applicerats på organisationer inom den offentliga sektorn, vilket medfört en ökad admininistrativ arbetsbörda. Verksamhetsreformen gjorde det möjligt för andra yrkesgrupper än läkare att ta plats inom högre ledande positioner inom offentlig svensk sjukvård. Förändringarna inom sjukvården har krockat med den medicinska professionen.

SAMMANFATTNINGDet finns stora skillnader i hälsa mellan olika grupper i samhället gällande bemötande och den vård som erbjuds. Personer med psykiatriska sjukdomar har ökad ohälsa och kortare livslängd. Det har också visat sig att denna grupp ofta får sämre somatisk vård och inte tillgång till rekommenderade läkemedel i samma omfattning som andra patienter. Detta beror på att vården, liksom samhället i stort, fungerar inom en ram av diskriminerande strukturer som skapas av dominerande attityder och värderingar i samhället. Det är därför viktigt att belysa svenska sjuksköterskors attityder till psykisk ohälsa.Syfte: Att undersöka sjuksköterskors attityder till psykisk ohälsa inom den somatiska vården.Metod: Kvantitativ studiedesign, datainsamling via webbenkät med egenkonstruerade påstående, inspirerade av enkäten MICA (Mental Illness: Clinicians? Attitudes Scale).

Established brands often market themselves in the same way as they've always done. There are two main reasons for this, it has worked before and general marketing strategies tells them to do so. However, a fairly new branch of marketing research have found that incongruent marketing may be a better way for an established brand to communicate to their target groups. This thesis is all about incongruency. Previous research in the area of incongruency have never dealt with aesthetics of the incongruent ads.

Bakgrund och problemformulering: Det finns en komplexitet vid användandet av olika styrmodeller och därför är det av vikt att kritiskt granska vilka styrmedel som implementeras i organisationen. Det är även viktigt att se till att styrmodellerna samverkar och välja den rätta kombinationen av dem. Problematiken handlar om att organisationer använder sig av styrmodeller som inte är kompatibla med varandra. Styrmodeller som bygger på olika styrlogiker riskerar att motverka varandra vilket kan leda till obalanser och negativa effekter.Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att, via enkätstudie, beskriva om mellanchefer upplever balans mellan ekonomistyrningsmodellerna; mål- och resultatstyrning samt detaljstyrning och förklara om skillnaden i ägandet kan vara en förklaringsfaktor till eventuella obalanser. Vi vill även veta hur det tar sig i uttryck.

The partly autobiographical book Valley of Issa, written by Czeslaw Milosz describes (among other things) the childhood of a boy, Tomasz who is the main character, and his interactions with his relatives. In this essay I will claim that these characters possess startlingly obvious autistic traits, and in relation with this I raise and discuss another question: Does the author Milosz himself express autistic traits? My essay could hardly constitute a complete analysis with definite answers, (the bachelor format of the essay and the fact that Milosz is dead limits more extensive investigations) and I do not mean to claim that Milosz was a sick person, even though I may suspect it. Let this essay be an eye-opener and a visionary foundation for new approaches to Milosz authorship. The value of it lies in its approach.

In recent years more and more people have been sick-listed due to stress and it has happened to more women than men. The purpose of this paper is to see if recoveringfrom stress related states of ill-health can be promoted through participation in a stress management course. Five women who were or had been sick-listed and had participated in the life management course were interviewed. The results show that the course was an important forum for expressing emotions. The participants were more positive about the future after than before they entered the course.
