Ungdomars deltagande vid alternativa idrottsinsatser : Vilka deltar och varför?
This study's main objective was to identify adolescents participation in alternative sport activities and which kind of physical activity that was preferred by adolescents who didn't had any earlier experience of sport clubs. The study combined interviews and surveys with the purpose to get both adolescents and sport leaders perspective. A total of five interviews were performed and fifty-four surveys was collected. The results showed that adolescents already physical active were those who participated in alternative sport activities. Who participate in alternative sport activities can depend on habitus, comprehended capital forms and in which social field the sport activities exists..
Betydelsen av fysisk aktivitet för barns koncentration i förskolan : En studie om betydelsen av fysisk aktivitet för barns koncentrationsförmåga vid samlingar i förskolan
The purpose of this investigation was to investigate how being outdoors and participating in physical activities affect the concentration in a collection situation among children.The methods I chose were observation of two groups of children two times each and interviews with four educators.The results showed that the concentration in the collected situation depends on past activity, where it has taken place and that the environment has an impact. If the previous activity been more active and physical the subsequent collected situation is calmer and the children more concentrate. The facts that the children have been outside in an inspiring environment that encourage playing and movement also have a position impact on the child´s ability to concentrate. The collected situation is an important moment in the preschool day when the kids need to congregate and get a chance for social interaction and a sense of togetherness with all the children and teachers. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between movement, physical activity and an increased concentration.
Vad driver människor att arbeta mot låg lön? : En studie om motivation utförd i relation till modellbranschen
Studien genomfördes i syfte att undersöka vad som driver en människa att arbeta mot en låg eller ingen monetär belöning. Det teoretiska ramverket Self- Determination Theory möjliggör kategorisering av en individs motivation i såväl inre som yttre motivation och även att mäta graden av motivation. Tidigare studier på området har indikerat att individer kan välja yrken med låg lön tack vare inre motivationsfaktorer. Denna studie ämnar fylla ett forskningsgap i redogörelsen för huruvida yttre motivationsfaktorer som social bekräftelse och kändisskap kan driva personer till att arbeta mot en låg monetär ersättning. Datainsamlingen skedde genom besöksintervjuer med människor som arbetar som fotomodell.
Wii Sports och Sport : En jämförelse av fysiska och emotionella skillnader och likheter i träningsspel jämfört med riktig träning
AimThe purpose of this study is to compare the level of activity between playing wii Sports Tennis and wii Sports boxing, and the usual sports, and to see how the two variants are perceived.Issues:- How much strain ratio and energy consumption it gives to exercise wii sports compared with the playing of sport for real?- How do the test participants experience the different tests?- How are the two wii sports games against each other in terms of activity and fitness in the school environment?MethodThis is an experimental study in which 10 test participants (5 men and 5 women) have carried out four different physical tests. The tests consisted of either playing an exergame or playing a sport for 25 minutes. Physical activity was measured during the test using a heart rate monitor. All test participants completed all tests in the same order.
Ny i Inre Skandinavien : Webbaserad Personutställning - Ett verktyg för visning och underhåll av intervjuer
Some people do not have the opportunity to visit a physical exhibition because of limited time or long travelling distances, it is here the need for a web-based exhibition arises.This dissertation describes the development of an interactive web-site representing a part of a physical exhibition of over 200 interviews on different peoples immigration to inner Scandinavia. The interviews contain text, audio clip, pictures and video clip.The website contains modern programming technologies such as HTML5, ASP.NET MVC3, SQL, JavaScript and jQuery.A cover of the technologies used and how the project has been designed and implemented is explained in the dissertation. In the end of the dissertation we discuss about how the result of the project follows the goals we set up in the start phase. The result of this project is an interactive and easy to use web-site showing a part of the physical exhibition online. An easy administration to insert new information and edit existing without any major computer knowledge..
Motivation i klassrummet : en litteraturstudie med fokus på strategier som ökar elevers motivation
Denna litteraturstudie har som syfte att undersöka hur lärare kan påverka sina elevers motivation positivt. Detta sker utifrån tre huvudfrågor som berör det sociala klimatet i klassrummet, kontakten mellan lärare och elev och lärarens entusiasm för det egna ämnet. Eftersom motivation är ett mycket komplext begrepp är inte avsikten att ge allomfattande förklaringar, utan snarare att genom ett granskande av relevant litteratur, i form av vetenskapliga artiklar, nå förslag på konkreta strategier som lärare kan och bör använda sig av i klassrummet för att öka elevernas motivation. Av studien framgår en skillnad mellan artiklarna vad gäller främst inre och yttre motivation, där inre motivation bör eftersträvas, eftersom den innebär att elever lär sig för utveckla sig själva och sina kunskaper. Ur resultaten framgår att lärare bör sträva efter ett klassrumsklimat som stödjer elevers självständighet, bl.a. genom att lyssna på eleverna och visa dem respekt.
Idrottlärarens roll i att motivera elever
Motivation är ett ord som är välbekant inom skolans värld, och ett ord som är viktigt inom idrott och hälsa. Elevers inställning till ämnet idrott och hälsa är avgörande, inte bara för elevernas skolgång, utan även i det fortsatta livet. Som stöd och hjälp till att stimulera eleverna till en god inställning till ämnet finns idrottsläraren. Syftet med arbetet var att se vilken roll läraren har när det gäller att motivera sina elever i ämnet idrott och hälsa. Vidare ville jag se vilka erfarenheter läraren har, och vilka metoder som finns för att motivera sina elever.
Motivation ur ett elevperspektiv : En studie om vilka faktorer som har betydelse för elevers motivation
AbstractThis study deals with motivation as an overall concept, from a student perspective. It encompasses factors that could directly affect students and their positive or negative motivation, concepts such as relationships, communication, expectations and interactions and their importance to my informants.The study also discusses certain theories to show the different ways of defining motivation, specifically in relation to my informants and their and my conclusions. My ambition is to establish the importance of the concepts mentioned above, as well as perspective changes to the enhancement of the performance standards of a good teacher.The purpose of this work is to describe, understand and clarify the external and internal factors that affect motivation. In order to achieve this purpose, I chose to use a method of qualitative interviews with three students, with different backgrounds, schools and conditions but with a lack of motivation as a unifying characteristic. The research questions were as follows:What factors influence students' motivation? What impact do achievement targets have in relation to the pupils? own motivation to learn?How important are teachers' expectations for the individual student's motivation?Within this study sub-concepts such as importance of expectations, relationships, and significant others are, according to my analysis, of great importance.
Ungdomars fysiska aktivitet och dess betydelse för prestationen i skolan
This study where designed to investigate if there are any positive relationship between the extent of physical activity during adolescent's leisure time and the academic performance, and also if there are any negative relationship between the academic performance and the time spent in front of the television or computers. Another part of the study tried to find out if physical activity has a direct and immediate influence on the performance in school. 91 pupils (51 girls and 40 boys) in the 8:th year of the Swedish primary school, from three different schools participated in the study. All 91 pupils first responded to a questionnaire concerning there activities in leisure time. They where then tested in a mathematical test and the results where compared with the extent of physical activity and TV/computer time they had stated in the questionnaire.

AimThe aim of this study was to find out whether Motivational Interviewing can affect people to change their behaviour in form of increasing physical activity. What results do studies conducted at healthy adults using Motivational Interviewing with physical activity as an outcome present?MethodTo fulfil the aim of the study we chose a review process. During the research two data-bases were used, PUBMED and CSA. Studies including participants under the age of 18 or studies where the participants suffered from diseases were excluded.
Val av utbildning : Arbetslivserfarenhetens betydelse för studenternas motivation och grad av self-efficacy
Antal individer som söker sig till vidareutbildning på akademisk nivå har ökat under den senaste finanskrisen. Studier på landets lärosäten är oftast en mångårig process och kräver både motivation och tro på egen förmåga. Deltagarna i denna studie kommer från olika högskolor och studieinriktningar och har i många fall lämnat en trygg inkomstkälla i valet att vidareutbilda sig. För att undersöka betydelsen av en individs arbetslivserfarenhets i valet av utbildning användes mätinstrumentet AMS för att mäta motivation och GSE för att mäta grad av self-efficacy. Resultatet visade att det föreligger en statistisk signifikant skillnad på arbetslivserfarenhet och grad av self-efficacy samt att individer som saknar arbetslivserfarenhet upplever mer amotivation gentemot sina studier.
En studie om lagerarbetare och säljares arbetsmotivation och engagemang
Syftet med den här studien var att ta reda på vilka variabler som relaterar till och som kan predicera inre/yttre motivation och engagemang hos lagerarbetare och säljare på samma företag. Ytterligare ett syfte var att ta reda på om det fanns någon skillnad mellan de båda grupperna gällande motivation och engagemang. En enkät utfördes och svarsfrekvensen var 57 %. Frågeformuläret innehöll följande variabler rolltydlighet, rollkonflikt, arbetskrav, positiv ut-maning i arbetet, kontroll av beslut, kontroll av arbetstakt, skicklighet, socialt klimat, personalinriktning, inre/yttre motivation och engagemang. Resultatet visade att arbetskrav och positiv utmaning i arbetet korrelerade med inre motivation.
Får idrottande elever högre betyg? : en fallstudie på tre samhällsvetenskapliga program för att visa eventuella samband mellan fysisk aktivitet och höga betyg
Abstract AimThe purpose of this study has been to investigate the possible differences in grades and attitudes towards further studies that can be explained by the student?s level of physical activity. The questions we wanted answers to were:- Does students in more sports-oriented programs have better grades than students in more theoretical programs?- Is there a relationship between physical activity and study-results?- Are there any differences in attitudes towards further studies for students at the different programs?- Which other variables could be affecting the students grades?Method The extent of this study has included 3 municipal schools and 6 classes (2 from each school) ? in all 119 students and 6 teachers. 3 different social sciences programs have participated ? two sports-oriented and one without any sports-oriented concentration .

Gymnastics is a reoccurring event in the physical education of many students. Despite this, there is still today limited research which describes the students? perspective and interest for this activity and if there are any differences between genders. The purpose of this study has therefore been to investigate students? interest for gymnastics and if there are any experiences, which can affect this interest.
Biblioteket om biblioteket: En studie om hur den fysiska biblioteksmiljön uttrycker biblioteks verksamhetsidéer
The subject of this thesis is studying how physical libraryenvironments express ideas on the function of the library, asstated in guiding documents. The ?physical library? isdefined as everything inside the library building, andexcludes the library architecture, focusing on things likefurniture, furnishing and the arrangement of physical media.The two questions asked in this thesis are: What aspects ofthe idea of a public library?s function, as expressed in theguiding documents of the library, are possible to study in thephysical library environment? In what ways can theseaspects be studied in the physical library environment?The study of the thesis is divided into two parts, a ?prestudy?and a ?main study?. In the pre-study aspects areidentified by reading guiding documents from differentpublic libraries, and analysing the result together withprevious studies on physical library environments. In themain study three Swedish public libraries (located inHelsingborg, Åstorp and Klippan) are visited, and theirenvironments are studied based on theory on what items andmeans of expression can influence the experience of thelibrary function.The four aspects that are identified in the pre-study areculture, education, accessibility, and development.According to the results of the main study, culture isexpressed in the library environment through aesthetics,education through the environment being inviting andstimulating for studies, accessibility by the environmentbeing inviting, functional and democratic, and developmentby modernity.
