The study aims to gain insight into how social workers perceive their psychosocial work environment and examine whether this effects the performance of their duties. The study mainly addresses the shortcomings of the psychosocial work environment of Social Services and the implications it entails for social workers health and wellbeing. The psychosocial work environment includes physical and psychological factors therefore the study's interpretive framework consists of organizational theoretical and social psychological concepts and previous research on the subject. We examined the organizational and social psychological connections to social workers perception of their work environment with a qualitative approach. The empirical data was collected through interviews with four social workers in a municipality in central Sweden using a semi-structured interview guide.

Utvecklingen av elrullstolar har öppnat upp mängder av möjligheter för personer med funktionshinder som påverkar deras förflyttningsförmåga. Hjälpmedel kan underlätta för en person att vara delaktig i meningsfulla aktiviteter. Genom delaktighet skapar vi relationer och hittar mål och mening med livet. Delaktighet förändras med åldern. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur elrullstolsanvändare upplever ökad delaktighet i vardagliga aktiviteter sedan de börjat använda elrullstol ? en jämförelse mellan yngre och äldre användare.

The LSH-study started in 2003 at the department of Health and Society at the University of Linköping. The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between life condition, stress and health. A total of 1007 people from ten different health centres in Östergötlands län participated. At the follow up, a couple of years later, 795 of the 1007 participated. 127 of the 212 in the attrition turned down the follow up, twelve people were not invited (for example in case of death) and the rest did not respond at all.

Arbetsterapeuter har aktivitet som fokus och deltagande i aktiviteter kan leda till ökad livstillfredsställelse. I den betydelse som begreppet livstillfredsställelse användes i denna studie var en individ tillfredställd antingen i livet i allmänhet och/eller inom ett specifikt område (domän). Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur vuxna personer med fysiska funktionshinder upplevde att handikappidrotten påverkade livstillfredsställelsen. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 22 deltagare i åldrarna 20-75 år som hade fysiskt funktionshinder och som deltog aktivt i någon form av idrott. I studien skattade deltagarna sin tillfredsställelse genom Fugl-Meyers självskattningsinstrument Livstillfredsställelse 11 (Li Sat-11) samt ett egenkonstruerat frågeformulär om hur idrotten påverkade de olika domänerna i LiSat-11.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the relationship between the elderly at a retirement home and their professional caretakers with focus on the perspective of the elderly. Chosen method, a qualitative interview analysis has been conducted to describe how the relationship affects the elderly in their everyday lives. The total amount of interviews were four. The relationship between the elderly and their professional caretakers has rarely been examined in previous research from an elder?s perspective.The results indicate that the elderly often are satisfied with the way the professional caretakers treat them.

Förskrivning av elrullstol är en intervention av betydelse för ökat aktivitetsutförande och förbättrad hälsa för personer med nedsatt förflyttningsförmåga. Syftet med denna studie var att studera brukares uppfattning om elrullstolens betydelse för aktivitet och hälsa. Studien är kvalitativ med narrativa intervjuer som metod för datainsamling. Författaren har intervjuat sex personer som använder elrullstol för utomhusbruk. Dataanalysen resulterade i fem kategorier och tio subkategorier.

The ability to handle potentially dangerous and hostile situations on a military vesselrequires that the equipment works effectively with the personnel that use it. It is importantthat this equipment can be used by different people. An operator on a military vesselshall be able to handle information about hostile threats, navigation and the steering ofunmanned vehicles. A operator console should therefore be constructed in such a waythat the operator can handle a large flow of information. And the information given bythe technical system should be displayed correctly to facilitate the operators ability tohandle and interpret the information correctly, in order for the operator to make thecorrect decision at any given moment.

Hantverk har försvunnit mer och mer inom arbetsterapin och speciellt inom somatisk verksamhet. Frågan är om dessa aktiviteter behövs och om de fyller en viktig funktion i dag. Syftet med uppsatsen var att ta reda på hur personer med neurologiska funktionshinder upplever meningsfullheten med hantverksaktiviteter. Fyra deltagare i en dagverksamhet intervjuades med hjälp av en egenkonstruerad semistrukturerad intervjuguide. Alla respondenterna upplevde att de hade förändrat sin person, sina relationer samt aktiviteter i vardagen i och utanför verksamheten på ett för dem mycket positivt sätt.

Introduction: Mental illness is a public health issue which 20-40 per cent of the inhabitantsin Sweden suffer from. Many factors can lead to mental illness and because of that it isimportant that different organisations and professions collaborate in prevention and healthpromotion work. To develop the collaborative process by noticing difficulties and successes,documenting, follow-up and evaluation is of great importance. Aim: The aim of this literaturereview is to investigate which methods are used for evaluation of health promoting anddisease preventive collaborative projects, which focuses on mental health directly orindirectly, and find out what results these projects has revealed. Method: Literature reviewwith descriptive design.

This masters thesis concerns a modeling project performed at Volvo Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. The main purpose of the project has been to develop a physical model of the climate in construction vehicles that later on can be used in the development of an electronic climate controller. The focus of the work has been on one type of wheel loader and one type of excavator. The temperature inside the compartment has been set equal to the notion climate. With physical theories about air flow and heat transfer in respect, relations between the components in the climate unit and the compartment has been calculated.

Background: Because of the high unhealthy rates among women in the com-mune a project to reduce it have begun. For this reason we have been given the mission from the commune of Sotenäs to study the character of these women's health. Objective: To study the health among permanent employed women in the commune of Sotenäs. Method: Quantitative method. The data have been collected through question-naire survey.

Physical activity can reduce the risk of developing dementia, and studies show that people who already have some form of the disease can get a better memory function and find it easier to perform daily tasks if the activity is performed regularly. People who are diagnosed with dementia are generally not offered physical activity to a high extent, nor is there a wide range of equipment developed to suit the target group.The Bike Around project was launched during a workshop in Copenhagen and was organized by HCH and Techna Science with the aim to develop new training equipment for people with dementia. The workshop resulted in the development of a customized training bike where the user can get a biking experience from his wheelchair or favorite chair. By integrating the pedal movement with a prerecorded movie projected on a screen, the memory can be stimulated both visually and by the activity itself.Our assignment in the project consisted of three parts: design of the bike, movie playback and software programming. During the project a prototype has been created that meets the requirements of ergonomics and usability..

The purpose of my study is to explore which possibilities there are for movement activities and how to use those possibilities. From this study, I will help the pedagogues recognize how to work more or different with movement activities.I have used participant observations and interviews as methods for my study. I did this at one preschool, because it is a development-study. The observations lasted for two weeks and the interviews were made with the majority of the pedagogues at the preschool.  The results of my study showed that the preschool teachers think that movement activities are an important part of children?s lives.

This paper is about the extent to which simplified penetration calculations ofsmall-caliber projectiles is a useful tool for assessing the physical protectioncapability. The work should be seen as an attempt to create an accessible tool inthe form of a simplified equation that allows for a better and safer use of thenaval vessels. The tool will also be used at different levels so that decisions andinstructions could be clearer.Performed calculations show a very limited capacity of a ship's basic design interms of physical protection against the use of small-caliber projectiles.How do we know that the calculations correct? By verifying the calculations withpractical shooting tests, a substantial condition to answer the question will becreated. Today patients are more aware of their rights regarding their own care. They are more informed, more engaged and have more and individual requirements, which leads to increased demands for information and participation increases. The Health Act sets out the patients´ right to participation. Participation increases patient satisfaction with care, promotes healing and increases adherence to health care advise. The patient doesn´t always experience participation in their own care to the extent they wish, which suggests that nurse?s does not always succeed in getting the patient involved.
