This thesis is supposed to make teachers and teaching students aware of the educational problems in physics during comprehensive school. The editor has interviewed pupils and studied literature in the physical education. Also the pupils conceptions in some basic physics have been studied. The purpose of this thesis is to, based on interviews and document studies, critically discuss how the introduction of kickboxing in Physical Education (PE) could affect gender equality in society. Based on a queer feminist and norm critical perspective on the prevailing teaching of PE, which, despite official efforts to challenge and modernize PE, persists in reproducing gender norms by e.g. spending 75% of class time on ball games. The hypothesis is that girls accessing violence (empowerment) through a bodily awareness in the form of kickboxing, positively would challenge the power imbalance that gender norms create. Girls are brought up, even today, in accordance with gender norms arguing against girls/women wanting to use their bodies as powerful tools to set limits.

In my exam-project, ?For Götha Kendo Club ? an athletic clubs new graphical profile? at HDK ( School of Design and Crafts ) i chose to redesign the visual identity of Götha Kendo Club, a kendo-club in Gothenburg. Kendo is a japanese fencing sport, where swords of bamboo are used, together with protective armor.My work consists of a new logotype for Götha Kendo Club; three different posters for recruiting beginners; a website layout, presented with a pdf-file; and a beginners folder, with an introduction to kendo.The aim was, not only to give Götha Kendo Club a new fresh look, but also to attract a target group to the sport, namely people who are interested in competition, exercise and athletics.To achieve this I created a though look where tension and focus was the lead; using only three colours, red, white and black, and with progressive typography set in with the modernistic HouseGothic typeface I created this fresh and exciting look. The photography by Ida Nordung where shoot with white backdrop, creating a hard contrast to the dark clothed kendo models.Finally I collected rules and guidelines for the graphical and visual elements of Götha Kendo Club new style in a graphical guide..

The purpose of this study is to seek answers to an ongoing problem in the forest sector; why scarifying operators quit their job. Scarification quality is crucial for successful reforestation after clear felling. It is therefore important to keep good operators working in the business. To collect the desirable information interviews were made both with contractors who are working and operators who have stopped working with scarifying. The conclusion one can draw from this report is that the scarifying operator job needs improvement in multiple areas. The former operators are mostly dissatisfied with the stress, low wages and negative physical effects that this work brings..

This study aims to theoretically investigate the concepts of the interpersonal actions 'to motivate' and 'to manipulate' and also to examine possible differences and similarities between the two. The method used is a conceptual review based on the Self-Determination Theory, related to the concept of motivation, and Machiavellianism, related to the concept of manipu-lation. The results show that 'to motivate', according to Self-Determination Theory, concerns influencing the intrinsic or extrinsic motivation, where intrinsic motivation is related to the feeling of self-determination, inner locus of causality, being or feeling competent and exercise activities for the pleasure of it, whilst extrinsic motivation is related to external locus of cau-sality, external pressure and engaging in activities for the purpose of reaching a goal or re-ward. 'To manipulate' is according to Machiavellianism based on the manipulator doing whatever it takes to reach a certain goal and gain something for himself with no regard of what methods being used. Syftet med den här studien var att studera relationerna mellan fysisk aktivitet, psykologiskt välbefinnande, självkänsla och arbetstillfredsställelse. Ett sekundärt syfte var att undersöka om måttlig intensitet av fysisk aktivitet är starkare korrelerat till de tre psykologiska begreppen än lätt och ansträngande intensitet. Studiens population (n=126) var mellan 26 och 65 år från ett sjukhus i södra Sverige. Fysisk aktivitet mättes genom Godin Leisure-Time Exercise Questionnaire (Godin & Shepard, 1985), psykologisk välbefinnande genom Psychological Well-Being Scale (Ryff, 1989), självkänsla genom Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1989) och arbetstillfredsställelse genom skalan Arbetstrivsel (Hellgren, Sjöberg & Sverke, 1997 baserad på Brayfield & Rothe, 1951). The purpose with the essay is to illuminate four former clients? personal stories about the meeting with the authority in the Swedish welfare system and the institutionalization theywent through. The questions being asked in the essay focus on communication, the relationship concerning power and the former clients attitude towards the institutionalization as a treatment. Four interviews were held with former clients who were institutionalized sometime between the ages of 15-25. The results were then analyzed by theories focusing on communication as a way to gain power and how social interaction may influence the individual attitudes towards authorities.

Syftet med studien var att identifiera de faktorer i litteraturen som kan bidra till ökad följsamhet och som kan underlätta implementeringen vid tillämpningen av fallförebyggande träningsinterventioner som genomförs i hemmet. Metoden som valdes för att besvara syftet var beskrivande litteraturöversikt. Litteratursökning genomfördes i två omgångar i databasen PRIMO. Litteratur hittades också genom manuell sekundär sökning. Totalt inkluderades 16 studier.

  Aim. The aim of the study was to describe how nurses in home care experience to pursue palliative care in ordinary housing. Methods. The study had a descriptive design with qualitative approach and was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 14 nurses in home health care from two medium-sized Swedish municipalities. The material was analyzed with manifest and latent content analysis. Findings. The underlying theme that emerged in the study was: Working with palliative care in the patient´s own homes is positive but challenging. Informants describe among other things that they perceived palliative home care as meaningful and that relatives have a central role in the palliative home care since they are close to the patient around the clock. The stress that emerges from the heavy work load and the long geographic distances are described as strenuous and to affect the care in a negative way. Informants describe the home environment as challenging as it is often not adapted for care and the collaboration with the palliative team is described to be experienced as both positive and negative.

But for those who are not ready to recover, there are not any help to receive. Pro-ana is a youth culture where individuals who want to achieve the anorectic ideal help and support each other. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyse the content and the need for the Pro-ana community on Internet, among young people with eating disorders. More specifically the aim was to find out how young Swedish people uses the Pro-ana communities on Internet.

Mass communication today stands for a great number of information in the developed welfare state of Sweden. This was also the case during the social and economic financial crisis in 2008-2011. At this point, the majority of the population chose to turn to the newspapers to look for further information. This essay seeks, in a comparative and theoretical way, and with the help of two theories of nationalism, to understand how the Swedish culture and tradition can be ex­plained via newspapers, and in what way these portray nationalism. What it also sets out to in­vestigate further is what kind of impact it might exercise over the population in its position as one of the leading providers of information.

What is e-leadership and how can it be framed in a distance context? How can work motivation be understood as a correlated theme? In prior leadership research and theory it has been taken for granted that leadership occurs in a face-to-face environment, so how to study leadership in a remote context? According to recent research, e-leadership defines this leader-member relation in this new arena, and a central focus of this research has been on communication. Communication is a central theme in the remote setting because it is the only interaction arena which allows leadership to be seen and understood. By conducting a case study in a multi media organization with distance working journalists as focus group this essay aims to bring a deeper understanding of how e-leadership works and how it effects work motivation. The field of media organizations is interesting to study as distance work is not an unusual working environment for journalists, and research has indicated that work motivation needs for these highly specified creative workers are somewhat differentiated from other, for example industrial workers, which implies that motivation theories urges an update.

SammanfattningSyfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka samband mellan några utvalda faktorer av betydelse vid förskrivning av fysisk aktivitet på recept (FaR) på hälso- och vårdcentraler i Sverige.Metod: En enkätundersökning genomfördes på 37 icke-privata hälso- och vårdcentraler i Malmö, Stockholm och Umeå. Totalt 241 enkäter besvarades av legitimerad personal med förskrivningsrätt av FaR. Studerade faktorer, uttryckta som enkätfrågor, var: förskrivarens kön, ålder, befattning, landstingstillhörighet, användning av FaR/FYSS, egen motion, FaR-utbildning, tidsbrist, riktlinjer, uppföljning, samarbete med friskvårdsaktör, FaR-ansvarig, hänvisning av FaR-patienter, kunskap i att motivera till fysisk aktivitet samt kunskap om vilka sjukdomstillstånd som kan behandlas med fysisk aktivitet. En webb-baserad enkät distri-buerades och samlades in via e-post och en pappersenkät användes på ett par hälso- och vårdcentraler. Resultatet från enkätundersökningen analyserades med chitvåtest och binär logistisk regression. Resultat: Sannolikheten att förskriva FaR var signifikant sju gånger högre hos personal som visste vart de kunde hänvisa patienter med FaR-ordination i jämförelse med dem som inte visste vart hänvisning kunde ske.

Our purpose with this research is to highlight that there is a scope for increased value creation in the experience room during concerts, and how value-enhancing strategies can be a competitive advantage for different venues. In our investigation of this we have worded the following research question: How is the perceived customer value affected during a concert in the experience room and its physical environment? With the background in this question we have identified three key concepts that we believe are the influence of the total concert experience which are; sensory experiences, interaction and identity. From these concepts we have drafted a number of propositions to test the reality by our empirical data collection. .

The purpose of this study is to investigate what knowledge children in preschool have about recycling, and to examine how teachers work with environmental efforts to increase children's understanding of environment and sustainable development. And if there is differs between the two preschool classes, one of which has a environmental profile. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interview methods of teachers and children, and observation of the children during a sorting exercise with a number of garbage objects. The result shows that teachers in the environment profiled preschool spend more time per week on work related to environmental and natural issues and worked more thematic. Similarity between this preschool classes is that the use of outdoor education to get into environmental awareness.
