Risk analysis in connection with transportation of dangerous goods is associated with great uncertainty. In addition there are a number of specific problems that the risk analyst faces when risks associated with transportation of dangerous goods are to be analysed. In this report those problems and uncertainties are described.One of the most important conclusions in this report is that uncertainty analysis within risk analysis in connection to transportation of dangerous goods has to be made more effective..

Försvarsmakten genomgår, sedan snart tio år tillbaka, en transformering mot ett insatsförsvar med ökad försvarsförmåga. Behovet av luftburen taktisk transport har i denna transformering blivit alltmer betydelsefullt, främst vid internationella insatser. Författaren ställer sig dock frågan hur den taktiska luftburna transporten är tänkt att användas vid nationella insatser. Syftet med uppsatsen är således att utifrån Försvarsmaktens doktriner, Militärstrategisk doktrin och Doktrin för luftoperationer, undersöka om den resurs som det taktiska transportflyget utgör i det framtida användbara försvaret vid nationella insatser är att anse som kritisk.För att svara på syftet analyseras hur det användbara försvaret är tänkt att nyttjas vid nationella insatser, vilka målsättningar som finns för det taktiska transportflyget samt hur denna förmåga ser ut i dagsläget. Författaren använder sig sedan av de teorier som hämtats från doktrinerna för att analysera hur taktisk luftburen transport kan kopplas samman med den nya insatsorganisationen.

The annual cost of home care services of transport in Falun/Borlänge, is now at 31 million kronor. It is clear from previous research that it is possible to reduce these costs through a restructuring of the existing home-help service. The restructuring aims to have a higher proportion of older people, who are in need of care, to live in special accommodation, in order to reduce transport costs. Therefore there is a need for systems that allow home-help service to plan their operations in such a way that transport is working as efficiently as possible. Through better planning, there are profits to be done.

Vid transport av temperaturkänsliga produkter krävs en förpackning som klarar av att hålla temperaturen inom ett visst intervall så att innehållet inte skadas. Omgivningstemperaturen kan variera mycket under en transport och det är viktigt att förpackning kan kyla passivt utan att påverkas för mycket av omgivningen. Ett typiskt användningsområde för denna typ av förpackningar är inom sjukvård för transport av läkemedel, organ och andra biologiska produkter.Problemet som denna rapport behandlar är att ta fram en sådan förpackning för hingstsperma som skulle kunna skickas med posten. Sperman behövde först kylas ned från rumstemperatur till 5°C under tio timmar innan den skulle hållas vid denna temperatur i ytterligare 24 timmar. För att lösa detta användes en kombination av isolering och fasomvandlingsmaterial vars egenskap att lagra energi gör att en konstant temperatur kan hållas under en längre tid.

This study has been made on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration to study the work of the department National Projects. The Swedish construction industry has for many years been characterized by low productivity. By being the largest purchaser of contracts in the industry the Swedish Transport Administration has a unique opportunity to influence the productivity. In order to improve in productivity The Swedish Transport Administration is adopting a new role in which they will order more turnkey projects. In our study, we will focus on how one department within the Swedish Transport Administration, National Projects, can perform successful turnkey projects.To clarify how the department National Projects can perform successful projects, this study identifies critical factors for projects and their links to different phases of the project.

An environmental review has been carried out at FORIA AB, a transportation- and machine service company, to analyze the company?s environmental aspects from the transportation segment. This report describes the essential background and the methods of identifying and evaluate the environmental aspects. It also describes how the work with the environmental aspects often vary between different actors. Äldre patienter med andningsbesvär är en vanlig patientkategori inom ambulanssjukvården. Är det någon skillnad på patienters vitalparametrar eller givna läkemedel vid ambulanstransporter med prio 1 och prio 2. 43 ambulans och akutjournaler studerades retrospektivt. 24 prio 1 och 19 prio 2. Patienter som transporterats med prio 1 hade signifikant sämre värden på andningfrekvens, puls och kroppstemperatur.

After emergencies involving chemical spills it is of great importance that correct measures are taken with short notice, both for the security of people and in order to minimize future environmental consequences. The RIB-unit at the Swedish Rescue Services Agency initiated this study, the aim of which is to propose changes to the existing chemical transport calculation tool: Chemical Spill 3.4, included in RIB - Integrated Decision Support for Civil Protection, so that it can be used for decision support as well as in preventive work. A rough estimation of chemical transport in the subsurface is considered being of great importance when making decisions during emergency response operations.The proposition presented in this report is a non site specific chemical transport model which is designed to give a rough estimation of NAPL flow in homogenous isotropic soil shortly after an instantaneous release. The model can be used at two levels; both in situations without access to information on subsurface properties, and with more accuracy in situations with knowledge of the included parameters. For that reason the user can choose among predefined alternatives or assign the parameters a numeric value to increase the quality of the model output.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka ett maskinsystem för uttag av trädbränsle i klena gallringar i norra Västmanland och södra Dalarna för Mellanskog. Genom driftuppföljningsdata kunde produktiviteten och kostnaderna för maskinsystemet beräknas, samt kostnaderna för sönderdelning och transport och hur dessa förändras med transportavståndet till industri. Resultatet visar att skördarens produktivitet är beroende av storleken på skördad medelstam, samt att skotarens produktivitet sänks med ett ökat skotningsavstånd. Den totala kostnaden för drivningsarbetet för ett medelobjekt (sett till maskinsystemets produktivitet) i denna studie var 178 kr/m3f inklusive kostnader för flytt, planering och tillägg för vinst. Om man bortser från dessa kostnader uppgår kostnaden för skördaren till ca 88kr/m3f och kostnaderna för skotaren till ca 61kr/m3f. Att enbart sönderdela materialet kostar 58 kr/m3s och kostnaden för transport beror på tranportavståndet, ett längre avstånd innebär en högre kostnad.

Environment is important, not only in politics, but also for companies and the demand of environmental strategies and environmental reports has increased. This leads to an increased pressure on firms to begin to report on environmental concerns and to create active systems for environmental thinking.The aim of the present study is to examine why firms in the transport sector, mainly lorry transports, reports environmental aspects and what drives these companies to create these reports.Based on stakeholder and institutional theory we aim to examine to which extent stakeholders affects the environmental accounting and reporting. We also aim to explain how the organization is influenced to incorporate external and societal environmental procedures.

This study takes place in Västerbotten, one of Sweden?s most north provinces with a population of 260 000 inhabitants. It is a sparsely populated area with two dominant cities, the other municipalities are largely unpopulated.

Stump wood is a hot alternative when the heating plants demands more and more forest fuel. The aim with the study has bean to calculate the costs in four different systems for transportations of stump wood, examine if there are any differences in fuel quality for the stump wood in the different systems, analyse if the fuel quality in stump wood is affected with the time it lays by the road side and how much space the stump wood demands on the road side. To calculate the costs for the different systems a system analysis was carried out, where some of the costs were collected through field studies on Holmen Skog stump experiment and other costs were collected from literature and contacts. Data for the fuel quality study was collected from Eons heat plant in Norrköping. Data for the study of how much space stump wood takes along a roadside was collected from field studies.

Examensarbetet har genomförts i samarbete med konsultföretaget i3tex AB i Göteborg samt med Aircontainer Package System Sweden AB (APS) i Stockholm. APS utvecklar och säljer standardiserade och kundanpassade förpackningslösningar för att transportera temperaturkänsliga produkter. Ett av APS önskemål är att i framtiden kunna erbjuda fler alternativ av kylväskor. Ett av dem är en kylväska som skulle kunna användas vid transport av vacciner i svåra miljöer eftersom det idag inte finns med i deras utbud. Examensarbetet fokuseras därför på att ta APS befintliga blodväska som referens och att ta fram ett nytt koncept för transport av vacciner, samt utveckla ergonomiska egenskaper för att underlätta och optimera användningen för de som jobbar i fält på organisationer som t.ex.
