The tourism industry in EU is one of the biggest sectors and employs about20 million people. A key factor of the industry is information, much oftourist information is today on the Internet. On Internet there is twoways information can flow, the information can either be pushed to aconsumer or the consumer of the Information can pull it from a source.In a feasibility study for the report the participants expressed thatthey thought the tourist information on the Internet was unpersonal anddidnt fill their informationneeds. The purpose of the report was to findout how push and pull of touristinformation can be balanced on Internet.The empirical data was collected with a feasibility study, a survey anda case. The survey was conducted at IT-University and School of Business,Economics and Law at Göteborg.

Från år 1965 till idag så har det hänt mycket med hur företagen använder sin kunskap. Företagen har gått ifrån att i början av 1960-talet enbart använda sig av styrsystem som redovisar finansiella värden till att under senare delen av 1980-talet utveckla styrverktyg som även tar de icke-finansiella värdena i beräkning. Ett sådant styrverktyg skapades av Kaplan & Norton och fick namnet Balanced Scorecard. Detta styrverktyg skapades på grund av att all information som finns i ett företag ska kunna användas på ett produktivt sätt, denna information ska senare leda till framtida konkurrensfördelar. Balanced Scorecard har senare utvecklats av Olve, Roy & Wetter vilket är den modell vi använder oss av i vår studie.

This study raises the question how the implementation of the balanced scorecard in the municipality of Gotland has been influenced by the way of communication. A case study is made in the administration of Social-and care management on Gotland. We have been focusing on two different ways of communication. The first one is Shannon and Weavers model where communication is explained as a transmission of a message through a channel to a receiver. The other one is sensemaking where it is focal to give the information meaning.

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa vilka förutsättningar som krävs för att upprätta ett underlag till styrningsbeslut i form av ett Balanced Scorecard. Avsikten är även att hjälpa trafikbolag att skapa en ökad förståelse för Balanced Scorecard och därigenom uppmärksamma viktiga faktorer för att nå framgång med konceptet. Vi avser även att visa på förslag huruvida framtagande av perspektiven och perspektivens mål och mått kan gå till. Metod: Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ studie med en abduktiv inriktning, i vilken vi samlat in empirisk data genom intervjuer. Dessa intervjuer, tillsammans med vår referensram har vi sedan försökt knyta samman utifrån ett hermeneutiskt och tolkande perspektiv.

Observations of eight students took place duringtwelve lessons to investigate what happened during their writing processes. This study isimportant because students? computer writing is a relatively new phenomenon in the Swedishprimary school.It is clear that the peer collaboration creates a complex interaction that becomes the platform, andalso the prerequisite, for successful language training. The method can clearly give students profitsin their linguistic development.

Detta gör vi genom att genomföra en fallstudie på Färs & Frosta Sparbank utifrån en teori- och en referensstudie.Uppsatsen kan beskrivas som en kombination av deduktiv och induktiv ansats eftersom den grundar sig på både teori och empiri. Uppsatsen innefattar en teoristudie, en referensstudie samt en fallstudie av Färs & Frosta Sparbank. Teoristudien består av sekundärdata som insamlats genom litteratur och artiklar. Datainsamlingen till referensstudien består av både sekundär- och primärdata i form av litteratur och intervjuer.

PURPOSE: By analysing collected data using theory, we aim to interpret the design, implementation and the usage of BSC in NPO?s to be able to contribute to the research. METHODOLOGY: A case study design has been made through semi-structured interviews and backed up by a quantitative survey and internal documents. THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES: Based on the sources given from the creators of the scorecard together with some sceptics and some followers, we have outlined the bases of balanced scorecard. To map out the non-profit sector and its strategic needs, the theories have tried to settle the specific need for the strategic tool given.

Vi har valt att använda oss av intervjuer som underlag för vår empiriska undersökning.

A variety of studies have been conducted on the use of the balanced scorecard in the public sector. Fewer studies, however, is made at a lower, more local level within municipal departments. The aim is to describe the scorecard application by two different departments, while scorecard adjustment over time and actors and their rules are addressed in this context. This has led us to the following problem: How can scorecard application be described in two different departments in a municipal context? In the theoretical framework we presented fundamental theories of balanced scorecard in different contexts, a scorecards translation process and the rules that guide and limit the actors in the organization.

Purpose/aim: This study was performed in order to describe how Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is reported in Swedish daily newspapers during a five-year period. MMA is a relative new sport in Sweden and it is important that the description by the Swedish daily newspapers is accurate and balanced. Then this sport will have the same opportunities to grow as already well-established sports in Sweden. Material/Method: The material consists of 159 articles from six different daily newspapers gathered from 2006-12-07 to 2011-12-07. Quantitative content analysis is used to investigate how the newspapers describe MMA. The result from this quantitative analysis are then compiled, analysed and discussed by applying theories of agenda setting, framing and moral panic. Main results: The result shows that the Swedish daily newspapers give a relative neutral and balanced picture in their coverage of MMA but they are affected to a certain degree of moral panic.

The obesity problem in the world is growing bigger and today even our companion animals are becoming heavier. In this paper the importance of a balanced diet for the companion animal is emphasised. There are many disadvantages for the animal and for the owner if the animal becomes obese and it is important to stress the facts on what the consequences might be. There are several medical conditions connected to obesity and a short summary of these will be discussed. It is often easier to prevent obesity rather than loosing the overweight and some ideas of how to do this is looked in to. In many veterinary clinics today, the veterinary nurse is the first and sometimes the only person to see the animal.

Bakgrund: I debatten har BSC då och då dykt upp som ett ersättningsinstrument till budgeten. Vad som inte alltid framgår är vilket eller vilka instrument som bär de roller som traditionellt bärs upp av budgeten. Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera vilka roller som BSC och budgeten har tagit i styrkortsanvändande företag. Avgränsningar: Vi har valt att avgränsa oss ifrån den bransch där budgeten som styrinstrument kanske fått mest kritik, nämligen bankbranschen. Genomförande: Vi har gjort en förstudie utifrån vilken fyra företag har tagits fram.
