Strukturerad- kontra beteendeintervju : Skillnad i mängd och kvalitet på den information som erhålls vid anställningsintervjuer

According to Barclay (2001), behavioral interviews yield higher quality information, than other interview techniques. This study focused on whether the quality and quantity of information differ between structured interview and behavioral interviewing. Two headhunters held 16 job interviews with the two techniques, 9 behavioral interviews and 7 structured interviews. Both headhunters and candidates have evaluated the interviews quantitatively. Initial and concluding interviews have, as well, been held with the headhunters.  No definitive answers were found in the quantitative analysis, but the qualitative results suggest that behavioral interviews give, because of the headhunters opinions, more and higher quality information.

The research field is relatively new and there are no turn-key solutions as to how to systematically work with service recovery.

En studie om vilken inverkan anställdas självledarskap och arbetstillfredsställelse har på personalomsättningen i restaurangbranschen

Självledarskap beskrivs vara en process där en individ utifrån sin egen förmåga påverkar och influerar sig själv för att kunna hantera olika situationer som den utsätts för. Tidigare forskning visar på att självledarskapsstrategierna har en inverkan på inre och yttre arbetstillfredsställelse. Forskningen visar även på att arbetstillfredsställelse har en inverkan på personalomsättningen. Syftet med den här studien är att få en förståelse om anställdas självledarskap inverkar på personalomsättningen i restaurangbranschen genom att analysera arbetstillfredsställelse som en länk mellan självledarskap och personalomsättning. Restaurangbranschen är en bransch med hög personalomsättning som står inför utmaningen, hög tillväxt i framtiden.

International expansion has long been associated with a positive trend that many companies, regardless of industry, choosing to realize mainly to expand its market share and hence its profitability. Various theories describe differentiated strategies to promote corporate expansion. Either they shall be financed by internal funds, or balancing equity with debt, or only increase leverage in order to achieve the desired results. This study focuses on the Swedish fashion market and its degree of internationalization. The purpose is to attempt to discern whether there exists a correlation between the degree of internationalization and its financial performance.The study was based on a quantitative approach where secondary data was collected so that we then would be able to perform regression calculations.

This paper is a study about outdoor education in pre- school. The main purpose is to look over if outdoor education in pre- school is a restraint or a resource. The study is based on two questionnaires, one to personnel in pre- school and one to parents who have children in pre- school. The study showed that outdoor education is mostly viewed to be a resource but there can be some problems in how to use it. Time, planning and knowledge were problems that were often mentioned by teachers.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the United Nation?s work and structure to find possible factors that can explain why some peacekeeping operations have achieved to mainstream a gender perspective, when others have not. This study is based on two cases; the peacekeeping operation in Namibia and the peacekeeping operation in Kosovo.The theory I have chosen to apply is feminism, a theory that allows an alternative explanation to this phenomenon. The purpose with our study is to increase our knowledge about how personnel in different activities experience the work with childrens who is growing up with addicted parents. What the personal experienced as important facts was structure and flexibility to take care of all children´s special need.Something else they experienced was, during discussions with children it´s important to listen to them and confirm their self-esteem.We have found that there are many well-functioning activities of this kind of children, but there are difficulties to have the parents to take the children to the activities.The personal believe that this is because the parents do not realise their addiction problem enough. The respondents expressed a which to get closer to the school so they can increase cooperation and reach more children in this way, and a lot of these respondents also point out that the community where ever the children are has a obligation to report or notify the social service if there are any children that need care..

Homesupport for elderly people with psychiatric disabilities

This essay deals with the support and help offered to elderly people over 65 with mental disabilities out of personnel from a special support team. We have chosen to use the qualitative method to answer our questions. We have four semi-structured interviews with all staff from the support team we have been in contact with, three nurses/nursing assistants and project manager for the support team. We have recognized five themes and divided the text into six different categories and disciplines that answers and highlights the importance of meeting clients' needs, increase their independence and quality of life. Our theme is security, continuity, time, treatment and relations.

The purpose of this essay is to identify the costs of illness in different organizations, and compare the calculated result with the actual result in their annual reports.We collected information thru interviews with the personnel manager in the selected organizations, and used the annual reports to add necessary information.When we applied our model, we found that the selected organizations, in some cases, have a cost of illnes which is up to seven times higher than shown in their annual reports. It?s, in general, the costs that aren?t related to the salary (additional costs), which are much higher than shown.The absence of a model that calculates the costs of illnes can result in wrongful decisions. If a model would be applied in an organization, it should increase the awearness of the actual costs of illnes, which can lead to better decisions througout the whole organization.This report is written in Swedish..

ARBETSVÄXLING SOM KOMPETENSHÖJANDE ÅTGÄRD FÖR INTENSIVVÅRDSSJUKSKÖTERSKOR

Bakgrund: I Stockholmsregionen råder det en brist på intensivvårdssjuksköterskor. En orsak är hög personalomsättning där många intensivvårdssjuksköterskor lämnar intensivvården inom två år efter anställning på grund av hög arbetsbörda, otillfredsställande lön eller bristande möjligheter till kompetensutveckling. Arbetsgivare som uppmuntrar till kompetensutveckling får fler intensivvårdssjuksköterskor att stanna kvar inom intensivvården även om arbetsbördan är hög.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vad intensivvårdssjuksköterskorna anser om arbetsväxling som kompetenshöjande intervention.Metod: Studiedesignen var kvalitativ och som metod har fokusgruppsintervjuer använts. Materialet har analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys.Resultat: Studiens huvudresultat var deltagarna ansåg att arbetsväxling fungerar som kompetenshöjande intervention. Resultatanalysen utkristalliserade totalt fem teman: arbetsväxlings inverkan på kompetensen, arbetsväxlings inverkan på individen, arbetsväxlings ömsesidiga påverkan mellan avdelningar, arbetsväxling som kvarhållande åtgärd och anledning att stanna kvar inom intensivvård.Slutsats: Studien visade på att intensivvårdssjuksköterskan anser att arbetsväxling är en kompetenshöjande åtgärd för intensivvårdssjuksköterskan.
