Allt fler personer drabbas av demenssjukdom och en stor del av dessa drabbas någon gång av ett eller flera beteendemässiga och psykiska symtom vid demens (BPSD). BPSD skapar stort lidande för den drabbade men kan även vara svårt att hantera för människorna omkring dem, närstående och vårdpersonal, och är en stor anledning till att personen flyttar till särskilt boende. Syftet med studien var att beskriva vårdpersonalens upplevelser av att vårda personer med beteendemässiga och psykiska symtom vid demens. Studien hade en beskrivande design med kvalitativ ansats. Data samlades in via sex individuella semi-strukturerade intervjuer.

Abstrakt Bakgrund: Dagligen utsätts ambulanspersonalen för situationer som mer eller mindre uppfattas psykiskt påfrestande. Stressen som kan uppstå under tjänstgöring upplevs ofta olika beroende på individ. Forskningen har i dagsläget mest fokuserat på stressorer, men det finns ett behov av en djupare förståelse av hur ambulanspersonalen upplever stressen och hur de bär sig åt för att hantera stressen. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva ambulanspersonalens upplevelser av stress och hur de hanterar det. Metod: Till studien valdes selektivt 21 personer ut från en ambulansstation i Västernorrlands län. Fyra fokusgruppsintervjuer gjordes och spelades in för att sedan analyseras genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Fjorton män och sju kvinnor i åldrarna mellan 25-63år medverkade i studien och representerades av ambulanssjukvårdare, sjuksköterskor och specialistutbildade sjuksköterskor. Resultat: Ambulanspersonalens upplevelse av stress berodde på allt från osäkerhet med sin kompetens, ansvar och bristande rutiner.

Background. Anesthetic-related death in small animal anesthesia is about ten times more common than in human anesthesia. Recent research identifies the early postoperative period as particularly risky and highlights the need for regular and careful monitoring of the veterinary patient during this period. Objective. The aims of this study were to investigate whether there are standard procedures in terms of regulated routine patient observations and record-keeping during the early postoperative period at Swedish veterinary clinics, and if there are any guidelines for monitoring the veterinary patient during recovery. Methods. A small survey including ten Swedish veterinary clinics was carried out as well as a literature review. Results.

Resurs- och miljöproblem ställer krav på en ny rumslig organisering av samhälleliga och sociala relationer för att en hållbar utveckling ska kunna åstadkommas i framtiden. I dagens samhällsplanering är det därför viktigt att planera för städer med en blandstadskaraktär, där nya stadsdelar innefattar flera funktioner. Detta dels för att öka den sociala hållbarheten och dels för att underlätta för ett minskat resande i vardagen.

Despite this, the number of reported occupational sicknesses caused by vibrations is as low as 1, 4 percent.JM Ltd. is one of the largest constructional companies in Sweden. BACKGROUND: The isolation facility is an important ward in veterinary hospitals. This is where infectious patients are treated in order to reduce the risk for cross-contamination between the infectious patients and other patients and humans in the hospital. But it can only function in a safe manner as long as adequate precautions for infection control are adhered to. This has shown to be a problem in many isolation facilities in veterinary hospitals in Sweden. AIM: The aim of this paper was to examine which factors that can affect the quality of the infection control in the isolation facility. The aim is also to stress the importance of adequate infection control practices. METHOD: Two interviews were conducted with staff from two veterinary hospitals.

The preschool constitutes a big part of many children's everyday existence. Its contents are therefore of great importance and the environment deserves a well thoughtout design. In this study, surveys in field and literature have resulted in conclusions around how plants can be used in children's play environments, in order to contribute to the experiencerelated values. The aim is to present conclusions to lean on when drawing up designproposals for new playgrounds, especially where the natural conditions are not so favorable. The first question that is responded to is how plants can be used in order to enrich the children's play environments.

Problem: How should a company act to sustain a strong identity and thereby a strong brand image when operating in a changeable world?Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to analyze whether the corporate identity of Academic Work is strong or fragmented. Further more this thesis aims to give recommendations on how the company could continue working to maintain a strong brand image. Methodology: The thesis is a case study of Academic Work. The study is based on data collected from interviews, a poll as well as data from the company website.

The aim of this study was to examine how social workers relate to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, regarding their cultural background and potential social issues. In order to achieve a more profound and comprehensive view of the social workers views regarding the separated children, we selected to execute semi structured interviews with social workers. These interviews were aimed at those social workers who performed assessments and investigations concerning unaccompanied children. We completed nine interviews which we recorded and transcribed in a strict manor. When we analyzed the empirical material, certain themes where identified as more protuberant and thus we our selection was based on what we regarded as the most relevant topics, in accordance to the aim of the study.

The purpose of the study is to describe how financial management functions within the individual and family care services in three mid-sized municipalities.27 interviews with managers and key personnel at three management levels in Örebro, Växjö and Jönkö-ping were conducted using a descriptive approach and qualitative method. In addition governing docu-ments and delineations in regards to these municipalities have been studied.The combined findings show that all municipalities have separate visions and control systems/models for their municipality with focus on management by objectives and politically determined goals, which in-clude economical measurements and requirements for the departments. Moreover, are also tracking sys-tems, which are described as following up on the results thru indicators and/or measurable goals. The municipalities utilize framework financials and budget processing on a high level and its timings appears similar in each municipality.Additionally the study has shown that there is a desire and aspiration to implement central economic goals in all three municipalities. The interviewees describe how they use their leadership to anchor, follow up and create participation in economic objectives and results thru instrumental and institutional leadership.

Saab Training Systems (STS) in Huskvarna is manufacturing material for educationalpurposes to armies worldwide. They are now implementing parts of the Lean productionconcept in their organisation.One part of the work with Lean production is to eliminate waste. To be able to identify waste,value stream mapping is a good tool and also what we used in our thesis. To gain a betterefficiency in the production of Personnel Detector Device (PDD) flow was one of our goals.The PDD is a harness used during battle training which registers if the user is being hit by itsenemy.Our work with the thesis started up with a short education in Lean production and in valuestream mapping (VSM). The work proceeded with a VSM of the production flow of the PDD,interviews were made and studies of literature were done to gain greater knowledge of thesubject and solve the task.The VSM resulted in five areas which were followed up out of those six we identified.

Fysisk aktivitet kan ha positiva effekter på hälsa. Arbetsmiljölagen anger att risken för ohälsa ska undanröjas. Mot den bakgrunden skulle fysisk aktivitet på arbetstid kunna vara en legitim arbetsmiljöåtgärd för att förbättra arbetshälsan. Utifrån det förefaller det intressant att undersöka hur fysisk aktivitet på arbetstid kan implementeras så att den genererar positiva resultat. Studien beskriver en modell för implementering av fysisk aktivitet på arbetstid som är baserad på tidigare forskning och genomförbarhet.

This thesis has been performed as a part of the Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at the School of Engineering in Jönköping. The thesis is written on behalf of Pallco AB, which is an engineering company that performs subcontracting, surface treatment, and assembly of components, mainly in steel and aluminium. The thesis focuses on identifying and analyzing the customer order fulfillment process of three customers at Pallco AB.The main objective of the thesis is to distinguish time differences in the company?s administrative work for each of the three customers. Furthermore, Lean thinking is following as a thread through the whole thesis.

The Swedish construction industry is dominated by men; however this is starting to change. The average age of Construction Engineers is high and approximately 40 per cent of the employees will retire by the year 2015. Currently, female engineers dominate the graduating classes of Swedish Universities but this is not reflected in the Swedish Construction industry.With so many female engineers available, why is this? Does it require a change in company culture and their condition of work to attract them? Is it the attitude towards women in the industry among the employees that has to be changed? Or is it a woman?s thoughts and prejudices of the industry that creates obstacles?The purpose of this final thesis is to describe how contracting firms in the construction industry can make themselves more attractive for female engineers. To reach the purpose, a study among salaried employees and craftsmen was conducted.

Goods that children come in contact with on a daily basis for example toys, electronics, textiles, household items, have attracted an increased attention in recent years because of a common occurrence of residues of potentially hazardous chemical substances. Some municipalities in Stockholm have developed plans for managing chemical risks and work systematically to phase out products containing hazardous substances. This thesis aims to contribute to an improved knowledge base for any future work with non-toxic nursery schools in Haninge. The study's focus is on the challenges encountered by conditions and problems of preschool personnel to manage chemical risks in early childhood environments. Primary data was collected through a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews with both the preschool staff and practitioners working in the central organization of the municipality.
