Background: When a child gets cancer it involves the whole family. The view of family focused care has change over the years. It has been shown that the family needs support to manage their life situation, when their child is ill. Aim: The aim of this study was to illustrate the family?s life situation, when a child gets cancer.

Detta är en studie över hur det är att vara anställd under förhållanden av en organisatorisk tvetydighet. Det är ett fenomen som kan förekomma i olika sammanhang men studien har fokuserat på anställda hos bemanningsföretag där den anställde har en arbetsgivare och ett inhyrande företag på samma gång. Syftet med studien är att förstå hur personal anställda av bemanningsföretag upplever att arbeta under förhållanden av tvetydig organisationstillhörighet inom ramen för teori om social identitet, organisatorisk identitet och organisatoriskt engagemang. Arbetets metodologiska profil är uppbyggd kring en hermeneutisk kunskapsteori, konstruktionism, den gyllene medelvägens angreppssätt och en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi.Teorin om social identitet handlar om hur individens identitet utvecklas inom grupper och i interaktion grupper emellan. Teori om organisatorisk identitet handlar om hur en person ser på sin organisation som en social grupp och att personen har en identifikation till den.

In this paper, a navigation support approach for speech-only interaction based on auditory icons for room-based designs is presented, i.e. naturally occurring sounds that have a natural mapping to the system's underlying design metaphor. In contrast to many recent investigations that have focused on multi-modal or augmented reality systems, this paper concerns a unimodal speech and sound-only system. An auditory icon based prototype system for buildings maintenance support using a room-based metaphor was developed. The design was evaluated in a comparison with earcons and no-sound designs.

AimThe aim of this study is to examine the long term effects of e12 and how they have influenced the lifestyle and perceived awareness about nutrition and exercise in relation to factors from Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) that e12 took in consideration. The questions asked were; How has e12 affected the attitudes, skills, self-efficacy and knowledge relative to exercise? How has e12 influenced the individual?s habits of exercise? How has e12 affected the perceived awareness regarding the impact of nutrition and exercise on the body weight?MethodThe study is pursued by a qualitative method using semi structured interviews on six individuals between the ages of 16-18 years old that completed the project 4-5 years ago. A questionnaire regarding nutrition and exercise habits was also used as part of the study. All individuals from the year of interest were first contacted by the senior physician connected to the project.

The management of information is one of the key aspects within a successful andefficient product development process, particularly regarding complex products.Scania CV AB is at the moment developing a new IT-system, OAS, which aims tomanage the company?s product data. With this as a background, the purpose of thismaster thesis is to identify the cross-functional user needs within Scania?s organizationconcerning product data and the management around it.To fulfill the purpose, an empirical study consisting of 40 personal interviews with 50representatives from different functions within Scania?s organization was carriedthrough. The empirical data was then analyzed focusing on identifying thecross-functional needs and issues.The study points out that there is a big potential regarding improvement among themanagement of product data.

Studier har visat att äldre personer i behov av vård ökar vilket kan leda till att vårdpersonalen upplever högre krav. Detta kan i sin tur resultera i arbetsrelaterad stress och ohälsa hos personalen. Utifrån Robert Karasek och Töres Theorells modell om krav, kontroll och socialt stöd kan man undersöka hur den psykosociala arbetsmiljön upplevs på en arbetsplats. Enkäter delades ut i samarbete med enhetschefer på de båda äldreboendena. 40 undersökningsdeltagare ingick i studien.

Vidare beskrivs marknadsföringens roll i denna process.Teori: Uppsatsen bygger på teorier kring attraktionsfasen i rekrytering, kopplingen mellan marknadsföring och rekrytering, viktiga aspekter i skapandet av virtuella rekryteringsmiljöer samt teorier kring kvantitet och kvalitet i kandidatbasen.Metod: Uppsatsens empiriska undersökning baserar på en kvalitativ ansats. The purpose of this article is to examine how social workers may experience fear in their profession, how they and their organizations handle the fear and how the fear may affect their practice. To obtain the purpose, in-depth interviews were carried out with seven social workers from the southeastern part of Sweden. The experiences of fear were many and are summarized in four categories. Fear of treats and violence, fear of the responsibility in complicated situations and without optimal solution, fear of being regarded and judged as worthless and fear of being scrutinized with the risk of being stigmatized. This study is a qualitative study of two primary schoolteachers and two special teachers approach to children with special needs, and which procedures according to these teachers can be applied to support these children in their progress at school. Building on key concepts such as segregated integration, including integration, diagnostic and children with special needs. This was then analyzed with information collected from the four formal interviews.The study also sheds light on key concepts such as special support, diagnosis, segregated integration and including integration. The conclusion explains the concept of including integration as an approach that works well for both students with special needs in a short period of time yet also students with diagnoses. The grip function is a main function in the hand and is used in many examples of scientific research, for instance when assessing physical health and predicting the probabilities of premature mortality.

This paper aim to present a model for evaluating what we choose to call HTML-frameworks, a framework that contains a set of CSS layouts and occasionally JavaScript support, based on the characteristics of the software quality standard ISO/IEC 9126-1. The methods used to produce this model is based on a field study that involved making a web portal with the help of a HTML-framework, some relevant literature and an analysis of the framework based on the characteristics of the ISO/IEC 9126-1 standard. The result was a model based on twelve different characteristics; functionality, web browser compatibility, collaborative skills, user-friendliness, documentation, visuals, graphic layout, performance, activity, professional support, replaceability and license. This model should be viewed upon as a suggestion to what a model for choosing HTML-framework could look like, because we haven?t had the time to test it in a real situation, so further studies are needed, and we believe there could be improvements made in the objectivity of the assessments of the characteristics..

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka vilken betydelse handledning har för personal som arbetar med personer med demens. Handledningens syfte och mål är riktade till både personal och vårdtagare och det övergripande målet är att den ska främja den enskilda människan som söker vård och omsorg. Tanken med handledning är även att den som blir handledd ska ta med sig det man tagit del av till sitt yrkesutövande. Handledning är ett sätt att ge personalen den bekräftelse de saknar, och att de skulle få stöd och utbildning vid handledning. Personalen som medverkade i studien beskriver att betydelsen av att få handledning innebär en trygghet att veta att de kan få hjälp, när de stöter på problem som de inte klarar av.

This Master's thesis in Library and Information Science aims to explore if personal patterns can be detected in web-searching. It is based on a study where the search sessions of nine test persons were video-recorded, transcribed into logs and analysed.A major objective was to find out whether there is a correlation between individual searchers' personal attributes and their web search behaviour. The logs were therefore compared with the test persons' results in a learning style test (Kolb's Learning Style Inventory) and with interview answers about information behaviour and personal background.While several patterns were indeed discovered, none of them turned out to be strictly personal. The nine test persons could be divided into five types of searchers: the purely analytic searcher; the generally analytic searcher; the balanced searcher; the mixed searcher and the browser. All types of searchers were found to have the attribute learning style in common.

The purpose of this study was to examine how teachers conduct their teaching to be language developing, and how they in a practical way work with semi-speaking students who have language deficits in the Swedish language and / or their native language. To carry out this study, I used qualitative interviews as a method and I have interviewed six teachers working at a high school.The school that these teachers work at execute a language developing teaching throughout all the courses in the school. All teachers have a similar idea of what language developing work is, however, how they go about and what is emphasized most in the teaching differs. The reason for this is because these teachers have different experiences with the language developing teaching. These professionals agree that this approach is very important and that all teachers, regardless of subject, should work in a language developing way, in parallel with the rest of their subjects.

Syftet med undersökningen har varit att göra en kartläggning av kompetensen bland personal som arbetar med funktionshindrade barn och ungdomar i en vald kommuns LSS verksamhet. Hur ser personal på sin kompetens, på sina utvecklingsmöjligheter på arbetsplatsen och i yrket, hur de ser på sin nuvarande arbetssituation, samt hur deras tillgång till handledning ser ut. Med hjälp av en enkätundersökning har jag fått fram vilken grundutbildning personalen har, hur de upplever sina möjligheter att utvecklas inom vård och omsorgsyrket och vad som skulle behövas för att de ska få tillräckliga utvecklingsmöjligheter på sin nuvarande arbetsplats. Undersökningen visar också att personalen ser positivt på sin nuvarande arbetssituation. Samtidigt uppvisar resultatet att majoriteten av de tillfrågade att arbetslaget aldrig har fått handledning, trots att flertalet av dem någon gång har känt ett behov av detta.
