During the development of microwave based sensors such as radar target seekers, input signals are needed to verify the performance of the system. Therefore, a channel board has been developed by previous thesis projects at Saab Bofors Dynamics. It uses a technique called Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM). The purpose of this board is to sample and digitally store radio frequency signals in order to reconstruct them after a certain delay.The aim of this thesis project was to use the channel board named above to construct a portable instrument for generation of stimuli signals. This assignment has been divided into two tasks: firstly, to construct and put together the hardware components and secondly, to implement a graphical user interface for the instrument.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate what functions the public library has for parents of small children. If and how they make use of the library and what their opinion is about it. The research questions are: Which functions does the public library have for parents of small children? How do parents of small children use the library and what opinion do they have about it? Which factors have an impact on the parents of small children and how do they influence their use of and opinion about the public library and the functions of the library? The theoretical approach is based on Henrik Jochumsen and Casper Hvenegaard Rasmussen?s model of the social room and the lifestyles and Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model of the public library?s functions. To answer our research questions we have made seven qualitative interviews with parents of small children.

Krävande beteende bland personer med demenssjukdom är en stor utmaning för personal som arbetar inom äldrevård. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur krävande beteende hos personer med demenssjukdom påverkade bemötandet de fick av personalen och personalens arbetsklimat. Studien genomfördes med en metod för enkätstudier. Resultatet visade att arbetskamrater är viktiga och att arbetet skulle vara nästan omöjligt att genomföra utan att arbeta i team, där arbetskamraterna ger varandra trygghet och respekt. Resultat visade också att påverkan på arbetstrivsel är stor oavsett arbetsplats och utbildning.

Denna undersökning syftar till att undersöka och utvärdera den agila projektmetodiken med inriktning på Scrum. Vattenfallsmetoden berörs även med avsikt att tjäna som kontrast till agil projektmetodik och Scrum. Att arbeta utefter en specifik projektmetod eller anamma ett agilt förhållningssätt kan bidra till att rätt produkt utvecklas och att undvika att projektet misslyckas. Undersökningen baseras på tre grundpelare; litteraturstudie, intervjuer och undersökning av befintliga studier. Dessa ligger till grund för de resultat som presenteras och diskuteras i uppsatsen med avsikt att kartlägga förekommande fenomen i projekt bedrivna efter en agil metod. I uppsatsen redogörs för och diskuteras resultatet av bedrivna intervjuer med personer i IT-branschen samt resultatet av befintliga studier utförda på bland annat Microsoft och Adobe Systems.

The study aims to investigate student?s attitudes and experiences of information retrieval on the Internet, as tools for learning. I have been interested of their own views about their own knowledge and experience in the subject, information seeking on the Internet. The focus is on what they perceive as problematic, what skills they consider they have and what needs they have in terms of teaching. Data were collected via questionnaires.

Cloud computing is a new buzzword within the IT-industry, and introduces a whole new way of working with IT. The technique delivers web based services, which results in that the user no longer needs to install an application locally on a computer. Since the application no longer needs to run on a local entity, but in a datacenter located on a service provider, the users no longer need any specific hardware more than a computer with an internet connection. Cloud computing also offers IT-infrastructure and development environments as services, these three service types is better known as cloud services. Through the usage of different types of cloud services, the need for maintenance and hardware is significantly reduced.

Since the beginning of the 1990s, Swedish society has gone through a great change. Firstly with the Personal Computer and then with the internet moving in to everyday life, a new arena for interaction with society evolved. Work, education, doing bank errands and reading or discussing the news, just to name a few, now all take place in the virtual world online. Not to mention social media sites such as twitter, instagram or facebook, the last of which has over half of the Swedish population represented as members.   Companies, corporations, interest groups, political parties and politicians must be aware of the massive impact that a post spread through social media can have.    This thesis will, with the text analyzing tool, argumentation analysis, and on the theoretical platform of political communications theory, analyze three of the most viral Swedish political posts spread over 120 000 times each, to see if there are any combined qualities that point to the fact that there is a formula for getting a post to become a viral success on social media.    The main result showed that of the three posts analyzed, all were built up around a factual thesis, argued for with foremost example arguments, not only appealing to the logical branch of argumentation but also to the ethical, and that they tended to be of high relevance and sustainability. The conclusion must therefore be that these are all qualities that tend to be of relevance for making a political post on social media into a viral success..

The aim of this study was to examine the aspect of power in the relationship between the personal assistant and the disabled person he or she works with (the user). The study was based on interviews with five personal assistants who worked for private companies that provided personal assistance. Seven themes were identified and discussed. These were: the users amount of control over the assistance given, the workplace environment, the working conditions, the organization of personal assistance by private companies, the assistants recourses and usage of power and the users participation in chores. To analyze these themes I used Foucault's theory of power and the perspective of Human Resource.

During the 8th and 9th of January 2005 a devastating storm named Gudrun entered the south of Sweden and a big part of the forest owners got their forests damaged. The study objective was to investigate on which basis and how the affected forest owners made their managment decisions immediately after the storm and if there are any differences between different categories of forest owners. - Members ? non members in a forest owner association (FOA) - Resident owners ? non resident owners - Female and male forest owner The study is based on a questionnaire survey with the purpose to examine the most important counsellor and information channels of the forest owners. A total of 450 forest owners participated in the survey. Results show that all categories of forest owners prefer professional counselling rather than personal counselling.

Idag har personer med lindrig utvecklingsstörning helt andra förutsättningar att utveckla förmågor hos sig själva än vad tidigare generationer har haft. Många personer med lindrig utvecklingsstörning klarar av mycket självständigt men på grund av deras funktionshinder är de i olika grad beroende av hjälp och stöd för att klara sig i sin vardag. Det innebär att de behöver professionellt stöd från personal, något som kan vara uppskattat men samtidigt upplevas vara jobbigt och kontrollerande. Den här studien utgår från kvalitativ metod för att genom intervjuer med både brukare och personal studera hur de ser på stödet som ges på serviceboenden. Syftet med studien är således att få mer kunskap och ökad förståelse om hur personer med lindrig utvecklingsstörning ser på det stöd som personalen ger, samt hur personalen ser på sitt sätt att möta deras behov. Studien omfattar fyra brukarintervjuer och fem personalintervjuer. Resultatet visar på positiva sidor av stödet, där personalen ser en glädje i att ge stöd till brukarna.

Detta kan ske via utbildningar, satsningar i företagshälsovård och arbetsmiljö för att stimulera och behålla personal.  Humankapitalinvesteringar ger utrymme för utvecklingsmöjligheter vilket hjälper företag att verka konkurrenskraftiga i en föränderlig miljö. Dock har det påvisats svårigheter i att mäta effekten av investeringarna. Genom uppföljning i form av undersökningar hos dess intressenter kan företagen få en bättre uppfattning kring investeringens effekt.

AbstractBakgrund & Problem:Bemanningsbranschens utveckling och etablering har ökat kraftigt de senaste decennierna då allt fler företag använder sig av inhyrd arbetskraft. Vi vet att bemanningsbranschen är en vanlig företeelse i dagens samhälle samt att branschen har goda förutsättningar då den växer kraftigt i Sverige. Vi anser därför att det är viktigt att veta varför organisationer hyr in personal istället för att rekrytera då vi anser att fenomenet bemanning och bemanningsföretag är väldigt aktuellt i dagsläget. Av dessa specifika anledningar väcktes vårt intresse för studiens ämne med förhoppningar om att komma fram till ett resultat som skiljer sig från presumerade antaganden.Syfte:Syftet med uppsatsen är att få en djupare förståelse kring varför företag väljer att hyra in extern personal istället för att rekrytera samt att belysa vilka fördelar och nackdelar det finns med att använda sig av extern personal. Vi vill även bidra med insikten i hur organisationer påverkas av den inhyrda personalen.

Kunskapen om TV- och datorspelmissbruk bland ungdomar är idag väldigt begränsad. Stillasittande/fysisk inaktivitet, som TV- och datorspel ofta innebär och som kan innebära negativa konsekvenser, blir allt vanligare. En semistrukturerad intervjustudie har genomförts på sju män i åldersgruppen 17-29 år i syfte att undersöka drivkrafterna bakom mäns spelbeteende i tonåren. Dessutom har information om spelmissbruk bland ungdomar inhämtats av fyra yrkesverksamma inom spelområdet. Detta samt kopplingar mellan TV- och datorspel och spel om pengar har gjorts p g a bristen på forskning om TV- och datorspel.
