Shared IT Service Center i kommuner

To be able to maintain an adequate ITservice for various users and needs,more municipalities are looking at thepossibility for mergers of local ITdepartments. One solution for mergingmultiple services/functions and creatingsynergy opportunities is called SharedService Center (SSC). The concept of SSCis that the administrative serviceitself becomes a core activity withinthe organization. The aim of this thesisis to provide municipalities who areconsidering a merging of their local ITdepartments with recommendations on howto design the Shared IT Service Center.Recommendations are outlined based on ananalysis of IT-management literature,reports and by conducting a study onthree ongoing collaborations.The conclusions drawn from the studysuggest guidelines for the design of aShared IT Service Center formunicipalities. These are as following:Create a vision associated with aspecific and structured target state.Identify needs for different targetgroups in municipalities and set acommon standard.Create a clear and practical model/SLAappearance of the cooperation andagreement.Ensure the individual municipalitiescommissioning skills in order to notlose it in the context of a common IToperation.Find an organization that is democraticfor member municipalities andfacilitates long-term partnership.Specify the operation and maintenance sothat it can be regulated and controlledEstablish a common help desk.Establish a common standard andconsolidated infrastructure before theintroduction of a common technology platform..

The year of 2007 Hökarängen Hemtjänst Ekonomisk Förening submitted a tender to Äldreförvaltningen about a purchase of the home- help service in Hökarängen and they accept there tender.Exposing public organization for competition can be a good way to make sure that most value for the money is created and that it generates the most cost- effective organizations. The motivation factor is used to describewhat makes people perform more than what is expected of them.The purpose of this study is to describe and explain similarities and differences in working- motivation between those how are members of Hökarängen Hemtjänst Ekonomisk Förening and those how are not.

Bakgrund: Medicinska problem som diabetes typ II innebär kräver högkvalitativ egenvård av en person diagnostiserad med sjukdomen. The purpose of this thesis is to show how to use vulnerability testing to identify and search for security flaws in networks of computers. The goal is partly to give a casual description of different types of methods of vulnerability testing and partly to present the method and results from a vulnerability test. A document containing the results of the vulnerability test will be handed over and a solution to the found high risk vulnerabilities. The goal is also to carry out and present this work as a form of a scholarly work.The problem was to show how to perform vulnerability tests and identify vulnerabilities in the organization's network and systems. Programs would be run under controlled circumstances in a way that they did not burden the network.

Organisering av ojämställdhet - En studie av kvinnors möjligheter att nå chefspositioner i Försvarsmaktens personalstab

This thesis aims to examine why women are prevented from attaining high positions in organizations. By executing a case study through qualitative interviews with employees from the Human Resource Department at the agency for Swedish Armed Forces, this study presents eight general and specific explanatory factors that hinder women from making a vertical career. The general factors include that women are discriminated against, women are perceived as less competent, men have created organizations and it is easier to recruit men. The specific factors include that a hierarchical organizational structure is correlated to inequality, that both the agency for Swedish Armed Forces and leadership are associated with masculinity and that women with civil competence face double misfortune. The division between general and specific factors indicate that the explanatory factors vary between organizations, which among other things implies that equality work should be tailored for the specific organization.

Stereotypa bedömningar och reduktion av negativ affekt

Tidigare studier har visat att ett syfte med stereotypisering är att ge vägledning i möten med andra människor där en snabb personbedömning kan underlätta kommunikation och kognitiva strategier. I denna studie har undersökts om ett negativt affekttillstånd kan förbättras vid en negativ stereotypbedömning av en person som det är socialt accepterat att ogilla, alltså om avreaktion förekom. Deltagarna, 111 studenter vid Luleå tekniska universitet, ingick i ett experiment där affektmanipulation, personbedömning och självskattning av affekttillståndet gjordes med hjälp av enkäter och försöksledarens anvisningar. Resultaten visar, tvärtemot antagandet, att deltagare som initialt varit negativa till sinnes blev ännu mer negativa efter att ha bedömt en person, vilken det är socialt accepterat att ogilla. I kontrollgrupperna påvisades ingen ökning av den negativa affekten..

Den osynlige patienten ? en begreppsanalys av begreppet patient

När man studerar till sjuksköterska och fördjupar sig inom vårdvetenskapen benämns patienter kategoriskt med just begreppet patient, oavsett var i vårdsystemet denne befinner sig. Begreppet patient har innebörder och värderingar som inte alltid syns och som påverkar relationen mellan vårdgivare och vårdsökande. Begreppsanalys är ett sätt att konkretisera och synliggöra ett begrepps innebörd. Vi valde att använda oss av Walker & Avants modell för begreppsanalys. Denna innebär att man definierar de avgränsande attributen och skiljer dem ifrån de ovidkommande attributen.

Vem går och röstar? : En kvantitativ undersökning om valdeltagande

Nivån på ett lands valdeltagande kan vara ett mått på hur en befolknings förtroende för de folkvalda ser ut. Är valdeltagandet högt kan det tyda på att förtroendet till de som styr samhället är stort. Syftet med den här kvantitativa studien är att undersöka om det finns något samband mellan några av samhällets socioekonomiska stratifieringsvariabler och sannolikheten för att en person går och röstar. Undersökningen utgår från fem frågeställningar angående lön, utbildningsår, social klass, samhörighet med en viss klass samt civilstånd och undersöker utifrån dessa sannolikheten för att en person deltar i val. Forskning har visat att socioekonomiska variabler har samband med en persons valdeltagande.

Närvarodetektor med IR och ultraljud

En närvarodetektor i form av en IR-detektor uppfyllde inte de önskade kraven och Eluw Electronic AB hade planer på att utveckla produkten vidare. IR-detektorn registrerar endast rörelse på en person vilket inte alltid är tillräckligt i företagets anläggningar. En person som inte är i rörelse måste också detekteras för att upprätthålla säkerheten runt en specifik anläggning. Företaget efterfrågade en närvarodetektor som klarade båda dessa detekteringar. Ett examensarbete på Luleå tekniska universitet löste uppgiften och en väl fungerande närvarodetektor med IR och ultraljud har utvecklats.

Kontaktperson enligt LSS : En studie av normförekomst i rättstillämpningen av LSS

The aim of this study was to examine the occurence of norms in court cases regarding the Swedish law of support and service for disabled (Lag 1993:387 om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade) with the help of a discourse analysis method. More specifically its aim was to examine and identify norms in the different dictums/statements that were to be found in the court cases regarding the supportive institution "contact person" according to the Swedish law "LSS" with the help of a norm science approach. The aim was also to examine when the applicant was found to be entitled to a contact person according to the LSS-law. To be able to do this, the author studied thirty-four different court cases. In these cases six themes were found, that indicated the occurence of norms.

Insatser för hemlösa personer : En genomlysning av Socialtjänstens och Stadsmissionens arbete i Kalmar kommun

This study aims to examine how the interventions for homeless persons in the municipality of Kalmar are organized. The study is based on four half-structured qualitative interviews with both representatives from different instances and also from persons who have experience of being homeless.The theoretical bases we have used to analyze the material are organization theory, specifically the concept of bureaucracy. Our results show that homelessness is not seen as a problem in itself, since the general view is that homeless people often have a complex problem scenario where drug- and alcohol abuse and mental illness are common.It is often the latter that takes priority in the interventions and the housing question is therefore neglected. We also found that social services do not have a satisfactory structure around the organization of the work on homelessness. They do not have any specific device in Kalmar that focus on homelessness issues with the result that the existing units are forced to take care of the work of homelessness.

Att fånga en föränderlig värld : En utredning av omvärldsanalysens nuläge och utvecklingspotential inom Regionförbundet Örebro

The first aim of this thesis is to descriptively identify and chart the activities of the strategic intelligence and environmental scanning that take place at the regional collaboration network Regionförbundet Örebro. This identification is essential in reaching the comprehensive and primary aim of the thesis: to discuss, through normative discourse, what the options of improvement are and in which ways systematic operations can be integrating parts in the organization. In order to offer guidance of development from the perspectives of environmental scanning, the question at issue has emanated from activities concerning the present methods of working at Regionförbundet Örebro.During the creation of this thesis, several interviews have been made with people who are regarded to be key roles within the regional collaboration network. An analysis has been made, based on governing documents and answers from the interviews, where possible improvements of the business have been identified. The inferences become parts of a greater potential of amelioration since they are presented as active solutions and proposals that can be directly adaptable to the organization.Our proposals of improvements/ameliorations are constituted by a number of concrete/explicit points such as: a wider public information supply and an introduction of several annual routines and methods..

Vanmakt och motmakt i personliga assistenters relationer till brukare

The aim of this study was to examine the aspect of power in the relationship between the personal assistant and the disabled person he or she works with (the user). The study was based on interviews with five personal assistants who worked for private companies that provided personal assistance. Seven themes were identified and discussed. These were: the users amount of control over the assistance given, the workplace environment, the working conditions, the organization of personal assistance by private companies, the assistants recourses and usage of power and the users participation in chores. To analyze these themes I used Foucault's theory of power and the perspective of Human Resource.

Organisationsstruktur och internkommunikation efter en omorganisation : En fallstudie om Karlstads universitet

This is a case study which investigated the perceived consequences of the organizational change that was implemented in January 2013 at Karlstad University. The study aimed to explore the experiences of the employees concerning the changes in organizational structure and internal communication. This was done through a set of eight individual standardized qualitative interviews with members from different departments. A lot of effort and thought was given to the ethical implications and to create a comfortable and open climate during the actual interviews to ensure that the respondents felt free to speak openly and honestly about their personal opinions and experiences.It is evident that the overall vision was ambitious; aiming to create a more effective organization through cutting off excessive administrative personnel and streamlining decision paths. However according to the opinions of the respondents it was clear that the result was far from the desired goal.

Studie av planerings- och produktionsprocess i sågverksbranschen

 The sawmill industry is a relative fragmented industry that is in an economic upswing andwith a hard competition. The customers have high demands on their suppliers and the highcustomer demand make it necessary for the companies to make a streamlining in planningand production. For that reason it is very important that the planning- and productionprocesses aren?t to complex and with a simple structure.The purpose of this report is to study and map out a marked out part of a planning- andproduction process, from adjust works to final delivery, at a company in the sawmill industry.Different methods have been used for the report, among others interviews and subordinatedmaterial.We have mapped out a marked out part of the planning- and production process at theCompany. This part we have studied, and we have analysed the process it self and otherthings connected to the process.We see the planning- and production process in the Company as complex.
