Crash Boom Bang : En kvalitativ studie om estetik och användarvänlighet vid produktion av en extremsportares webb

?Between normal and abnormal? is a qualitative literature study about adults with Aspergers syndrom. The study aims to understand how a person with Asperger syndrome understand himself. The study is built around two issues. These are; how does a person with Aspergers syndrom describe himself and how does the diagnos influence the self-image.

Bronchiolitis is a common performance decreasing disease in horses (Bracher et al, 1991¸Dixon et al, 1995) Its medical treatment includes inhalation therapy with corticosteroids and b2-adrenoceptorer stimulators. Use of both these medicines is prohibited for sport horses and athletes. Because the facemasks used for inhalation therapy are not airtight, there is a risk for leakage of these medicines. We wanted to see if cross exposure of nearby horses can result during normal recommended treatment of a horse, and assess if this could result in doping positive urine sample from the person treating the horse and from horses in the same airspace. We did a pilot study with four healthy horses. The experiment was divided into four parts.

Närståendes upplevelser av att överlämna omvårdnad av person med demens till professionella vårdare: en litteraturstudie

De närstående vårdar ofta en person som lever med demens under en tid i hemmet, men till slut blir situationen ohållbar och de tvingas ta ett emotionellt tungt beslut att flytta personen till ett äldreboende. Syftet med studien var att beskriva närståendes upplevelser av att överlämna omvårdnad av person med demens till professionella vårdare. Åtta studier valdes ut från databaserna Academic search, Cinahl och Medline. Dessa kvalitetsgranskades innan de analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier: Att känna skuld, skam och sorg över att överlämna vården till andra, att söka lindring för den emotionella bördan, att det är skrämmande när personen försämras, att vilja vara säker på att personen vårdas bra, samt att vilja vara delaktig i vården.

Förnyelsebar energi istället för animaliskt protein : systemanalys av en möjlig livsstilsförändring

Olika studier visar att animalieproduktionen, sett ur ett livscykelperspektiv, är en energikrävande verksamhet som tar stora markarealer i anspråk. I västvärlden konsumeras i genomsnitt större kött- och proteinmängder än vad kroppen behöver ur näringssynpunkt. Syftet med studien är att ur ett livscykelperspektiv och för svenska förhållanden kvantifiera den användbara energi från förnyelsebara resurser som kan ersätta användningen av fossila resurser, vid en minskad konsumtion av mjölk, nöt- och fläskkött motsvarande 5 kg protein per person och år. Detta motsvarar ca 15 % av dagens totala proteinkonsumtion i Sverige, 33 kg per person och år, och ca 23 % av dagens konsumtion av animaliskt protein, 22 kg per person och år. Det rekommenderade intaget av protein är 20 kgper person och år.

Det Relationella Perspektivet : En induktiv fallstudie om relationen mellan ledare och följare

This thesis investigates the dynamics of the relationship between a leader and the followers within a chosen organization. The research on leadership has generally been focused on the leader, and consequently treating the followers like passive subordinates. We pursue a more multidimensional view of the subject, meaning that leadership descends from an interaction between leaders and followers, which makes it relevant to study the dynamics of the relationship from both perspectives. We chose to do a qualitative case study on a middle- and preschool which has won a price for being an ideal place to work at. This price peaked our interest to investigate why the relationships are highly functional in this particular organization.

Platt och jämlikt? : En fallstudie av Feministiskt Initiativ

The aim of this work is to define the party structure of Feministic Initiative (FI). We want to examine the structure of an organization that doesn?t start out with a hierarchical order. We further intend to examine the party?s leadership; whether or not it is equal, between the three spokespersons.We find it interesting as a topic from a democratic point of view as well as to see if a flat structure could work in practice.

We have used a qualitative method and interviewed a person in a senior position in each company.

The purpose of this Master?s Thesis is to examine the information use and information behavior of the scientists at the company ?Forskningsbolaget?. For this purpose an Information Audit was carried out using both interviews with six managers and a questionnaire, which was sent out to the entire population of 213 scientists. After finding out what information the scientists use and how they obtain it the aim was to answer the question of to what extent the company?s Information Centre can meet these needs.

Urination is a biological need but the routines surrounding urination are culturally specific and ever changing. This makes the organization of public space an important part in deciding what actions are made possible for the people in it. This paper considers women?s public urination and the possibilities to merge the need to urinate and the construction of the female body as feminine.A number of texts that describe the construction of the female body and identity as both gendered and socially produced are analysed in relation to women?s experiences of incontinence. Incontinence as a medical diagnosis is by this becoming possible to question, and may be seen as one of several strategies used to manage both the organization of the public space and the expectations of the female body to be a docile body.The conclusion is that a woman who wants to enter public space has the following options when it comes to the need to urinate:To strive for the feminine ideal.

The veterans in Sweden is a group that is steadily growing, one of the reasons is the new employment agreement that requires the soldiers and officers to commit to Foreign Service. The Swedish Armed Forces have received critique from the government in their investigations concerning the Swedish veteran politics. Since then the Swedish government has introduced a new law that gives the Swedish Armed Forces an utmost responsibility concerning the veteran?s physical and mental health. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively investigate ?The Peace berets?, a non-government organization which have had, and is still having a cooperation with the Swedish Armed Forces as a result of the investigation conducted by the Swedish government.

Valfrihet för äldre : En kvalitativ studie om implementeringen av ett valfrihetssystem och dess förväntade effekter i en utvald kommun

I have conducted a qualitative study were the aim was to understand how the freedom of choice act in eldercare is handled at a municipality level as well as a national level and the effects that can occur. The methods I have used for this study is a document analysis and semi-structed interviews.     I have conducted semi-structed interviews with three professionals in the eldercare organization in a large municipality in the south of Sweden, I have also conducted a phone interview with a representative from Socialstyrelsen. The professionals that I chose for my study was a chief of staff, an aid case worker and a person who worked in the municipality with the implementation of freedom of choice act.     The study shows that the work quality is expected to rise with the freedom of choice as a consequence of the customer and performer model and will give the caretakers a higher level of influence. The study also shows that the municipality will get a greater responsibility and the aid case workers will get extended tasks though they will have to inform the caretakers regarding the options and they will also be mediate between the caretaker and the performers. However the study also show concerns regarding rough traders whose aim is to make money and does not have the same rehabilitation agenda.     There are also concerns for those who can´t chose for them self though they will not be able to be a part of the freedom of choice act in the same way and that is something the municipality needs to work out a system for.

Närståendes upplevelse av hopp när en person drabbas av sjukdom

Att känna hopp när en närstående är sjuk kan upplevas som en berg och dalbana. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva närståendes upplevelse av hopp när en person drabbas av sjukdom. Litteraturstudien är baserad på tjugotre vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserats med en manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: Hopp påverkas av information, Andlighet och alternativa metoder ger en känsla av hopp, Relationer med andra människor ger hopp och Hopp är under ständig förändring. Det framkom att information och kunskap om sjukdomen bidrog till att närstående kände hopp, men att information inte alltid gavs ut rätt eller att det uteblev helt..

Rapportering enligt lex Sarah inom individ-och familjeomsorg : En kvalitativ studie utifrån hur socialarbetare resonerar kring rapporteringsskyldigheten.

This study is based on a qualitative study with 8 semi-structured interviews. The aim of thestudy was to describe how social workers in the individual- and family section in socialservices in two different municipalities in Sweden reason about reporting obligations and tounderstand what lex Sarah means in the decisions making to report incongruity or not. Weinterviewed social workers that work in the department of individual- and family section, amunicipality worker who works with state governance with all kinds people in the society.We asked the social workers altered questions about how they handle lex Sarah in their work.Three different topics were identified in our study and became the themes: Description,management and conflicting thoughts. Our analysis is based on two different theories, oneabout the choices a person make being in an organization, the other about how a professionalindividual have altered pressures to handle in their everyday work. By doing a semi-structuredstudy of the social workers opinions, we found out that the description of incongruity was notthe focus just in managing lex Sarah.

Talented and committed employees are important resources for a company?s competitiveness. With the escalating competition for competent employees, a strong employer brand has come to play an increasingly important role as a means of attracting employees with a desirable profile. In this study, brand theory is applied to the results of a quantitative study of students? evaluation of an attractive employer, in order to identify the factors which explain why certain employers are perceived as more attractive than others.
