Sweden adopted a new anti-discrimination legislation 2009, DiskL, which aim to prevent direct and indirect discrimination in matters of employment and occupation.According to directives and practices from EU, pregnant workers are entitled a special protection from discrimination during employment situations. The purpose of this essay is to study the legal protection for pregnant workers in employment situations and also analyze whether male workers have similar protection when they plan parental leave. Both regulations from the EU-law and the Swedish law are presented and discussed. This because Swedish discrimination legislation is largely influenced by the EU-law.The study confirms that pregnant workers have a strong legal protection against discrimination through directives from the EU and DiskL. Employers must include this protection in employment situations.

Många studier visar att det finns en skillnad mellan sjuksköterskans bedömning och patientens upplevelse av smärta och smärtbehandling. Syftet med litteraturstudien är att jämföra dessa uppfattningar. Eftersom god smärtlindring är en förutsättning för patientens psykiska såväl som fysiska välmående är det av stor vikt att sjuksköterskans bedömningar är så korrekta som möjligt. Förutom olika smärtskattningsmetoder, ex. VAS skalan är det nödvändigt att sjuksköterskor medvetandegörs om sina egna attityder, då dessa kan påverka kvalitén på omvårdnaden.

It is said that concepts of organizational management can pave the way to success. This is not accurate and it is something that will be shown in the following study. Its most prominent conclusion is that the valuation governance to some extent has an impact on the formal structures, but that it had no further effects on the employee?s way of work. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the valuation governance is applied in Medley AB and the meaning of it.

The swedish law against female genital mutilation (FGM) prohibits procedures that removes parts of the female genitalia and thereby makes permanent changes in the body. The problem with the wording of the law is that it may also apply to the western phenomenon cosmetic genital surgery. This paper therefore examines if cosmetic genital surgery should be covered by the swedish law against FGM, by making a critical comparing analysis. The paper begins with comparing FGM with cosmetic genital surgery to prove that there are more similarities than differences between the procedures. By using the theoretical perspectives universalism and postcolonialism, the paper then examines why, particularly in the West, there is a different approach to FGM than to cosmetic genital surgery, regardless of the similarities of the procedures.

Att förlora sitt barn är den svåraste förlust en förälder kan uppleva i livet. Sorgen blir påtaglig och livet raseras på ett ögonblick. Syftet med studien var att beskriva föräldrarnas upplevelse under sorgarbetet vid förlusten av ett barn. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet sammanställdes utifrån åtta vetenskapliga artiklar som svarade på studiens syfte.

The resistance bridge uses a 4-point measuring to determinate the resistance, which is used in the manufacturing of the conductor. It is then used when the resistance is to be decided for coarser aluminium conductors. A conductor has to fulfil certain demands to be able to move forward in the process. One of these demands is the resistance in ohm/km, which has demands that the measure values of the resistance bridge are as true and precise as possible.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att skapa en bild av den bebyggelseförändring som skett i Utviksområdet under de senaste 150-200 åren. Jag har arbetat med flera frågeställningar kring området. Hur långt tillbaka har det varit aktivitet på Mjusen? Hur har området utvecklats från fäboddrift till sågverksindustri till sommarstugeområden och vad finns kvar idag av byggnader och mark? Vilken funktion fyller området idag?För att hitta svar på mina frågor har jag studerat gamla kartor och bilder, läst lokalhistorisk litteratur om ämnet och gjort intervjuer med personer som minns fäboddriftenstid. Jag har även via webben studerat Urban Sikeborgs sida Familjer i Norrala, på Genealogi.se där jag funnit tingsärenden, så långt tillbaka som till 1640-talet, på personer som brukar skogen och marken på fäbodområdet.Genom mitt arbete har jag fått en tydlig bild av hur området förändrats under tid.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka den diskurs som följde i svensk media efter migrationsverkets beslut att ge syriska flyktingar permanent uppehållstillstånd.Metoden som vi har utgått ifrån är kritisk diskursanalys och innehållsanalys. Som data har vi valt ut tolv artiklar och två TV-program.Resultatet visar att media äger den makt som gör att de får avgöra hur ett sådant beslut ska presenteras och diskuteras. Resultatet visar även att media använder idag en annorlunda diskurs jämfört med 1980 och 1990 talet.Media kan med sin makt avgöra vem som ska/inte ska uttrycka sig. En ?Vi? och ?De? skapas av media som skiljer mellan den etablerade och den oetablerade i samhället.

The web as an arena for news reporting and information sharing to consumers has grown for many years in the expense of the traditional newspapers. The revenue stream has however not followed the same transformation which has led to a remarkably lower profit when news and articles are distributed through the web. Banner advertising is a method that is commonly used by online magazines to generate profit where advertisers pay to expose their message. One method to measure banner ads effectivity, and indirectly, what the advertiser would pay, is through Click-Through Rate (CTR), how many clicks a banner ad receives in relation to the amount of banner views. One of the variables that play an important role in the banner ad effectivity is the placement of the banner ad.

The purpose of this study was to highlight LGBT asylum-seekers experiences of expressing their sexual identity or gender identity in the country of origin and in the asylum process in Sweden. By interviewing people who got permanent residence in Sweden because of gender or sexual orientation in Utlänningslagen (2005:716) we have been able to explore their own experiences from expressing themselves. This study analyse these experiences from a social psychological perspective, from this analysis we aimed to obtain a deeper understanding of how the experiences from the country of origin affects on the experiences in the asylum process. This study shows that LGBT asylum-seekers often is facing negative reactions from the environment in the country of origin, these reactions can limit their possibilities to express their sexual identity or gender identity in the asylum process in Sweden. The negative reactions they experience in the country of origin have contributed to that many LGBT people internalize feelings of fear to express themselves, feelings that often stays when they come to Sweden to seek asylum.

The stationary resistance bridge had been examined through various kinds of measurements to be able to see how stable the system is and how to obtain a measure value as optimized as possible.

Purpose Based on the new comprehensive income due to changes in IAS 1, the authors aim to describe how a listed corporate accounting is affected by IAS 1 and the new income statement.Methodology This study uses an inductive approach with a combination of qualitative and quantitative data, using financial rapports from the investment company Latour. This case study is based on Latour?s all published financial statements under the period 2008 to 2012.Result The study resulted in different observations of Latour's operational and financial performance, share price trends as well as ratios. The study's authors can see that Latour's net income and comprehensive income differ due to changes in IAS 1. They can also observe the effect of clean surplus in Latour?s income statement.

During the financial crisis voices were raised towards the regulatory framework IAS 39 recognition and measurement of financial instruments and pointed out that it was inadequate. The complexity of the framework contributed to the fact that it was difficult to apply. IASB accelerated the modeling of the new to be regulatory framework IFRS 9. In this study we will focus on the reliability of accounting information, which is an important aspect from the stakeholder?s point of view, for example, to be able to make the best decisions the accounting information should be proper.

Uppsatsens syfte var att genom en kvalitativ undersökning utröna ensamkommande barns förväntningar före flykten, deras tankar om språk, språkinlärning och huruvida dessa förväntningar uppfylls eller förändras efter permanent uppehållstillstånd i Sverige samt om tankarna om språk förändrats. De sex pojkar som intervjuas i studien kommer från Afghanistan, Somalia och Kamerun och hade olika livserfarenheter innan flykten. Uppsatsen visar att förväntningarna förändrades i och med det faktum att de fick lov att börja skolan när de kommit till Sverige något som de inte hade kunnat föreställa sig. Några informanter, vilka var analfabeter, har även fått en för dem helt ny identitet i den bemärkelsen att de nu mera ser sig själva som läsande och skrivande människor vilket de inte hade kunnat föreställa sig tidigare. De som inte gått i skolan tidigare i sina hemländer och inte kan något annat språk än sitt modersmål tycker att det är besvärligt att lära sig svenska, det känns märkligt i munnen att uttala ord och meningar på svenska.
