The dog (Canis lupus familiaris) is the first species ever domesticated. They can develop a close bond towards other dogs, almost like a relationship among siblings, which can be a high valuable resource for good relations and cooperation?s. Dominance in dogs is sometimes used to explain undesired behaviors and explained as a personality trait. Dominance though, is not a trait in a dog or a source for undesired behaviors, but can rather be explained as a relationship between individuals, were one of them receives more submissive signals from the other.

Reparationsvarv.Beckholmen kan på grund av sin historia anses vara en ofta hänsynslöst behandlad ö. Hänsynslös mot öns natur och egna ordning, för att ständigt fylla ny funktion och nya ändamål. Idag är ön starkt märkt av denna behandling, och i kontrast till tidigare, ansedd som en oerhört känslig plats, både i sin natur och exponering för staden. Staden själv ser olika värden i Beckholmen, vilka står i stark strid med varandra. Att vilja bevara Beckholmen som en ö med skärgårdsframtoning, som en förlängning av Djurgården, i kontrast till det kulturhistoriska värdet i Beckholmens tidigare varvsverksamhet som bör fortskrida och utvecklas, gör det nödvändigt att på något sätt välja sida i frågan.Vi har fått i uppgift att rita ett reparationsvarv på denna ö, och för mig kändes det mest naturliga att låta den dramatik och förändring som funnits genom historien fortskrida.

I det här projektet analyseras huset Röken, uppe på det Småländska höglandet, en plats med mycket historia. Från 1600-talet då en bräcklig fred gör att huset byggs till då huset moderniseras under mitten av 1900-talet och blir inrett med många möbler från Ab Svenska möbelfabrikerna, som bara låg några kilometer från platsen. Detta leder fram till en undersökning av familjen som äger huset och till Jan Strand, min far, idag den enda permanent boende där. Projektet har mynnat ut i möbeln ?Beach? avsedd att användas då Jan i ensamhet njuter av jazzmusik uppe i sin sons rum..

Det här arbetet undersöker några olika temporära och semi-permanenta översvämningsskydd som tillverkas i Sverige och Norge: Aqua Barrier (pallbarriären), AquaFence (Semi), NOAQ Tubvall och DamLite. Fokus ligger på vilka egenskaper en temporär barriär bör ha, samt dess roll i den totala hanteringen av översvämningar i jämförelse med t.ex. permanenta lösningar och sandsäckar. För att ta reda på detta har jag gjort en litteraturstudie samt ett fåtal intervjuer med anställda på Räddningstjänsten i Karlstad, Arvika kommun och Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap. De egenskaper som nämns av alla och kan identifieras som viktigast är hög dämningshöjd (vid behov), snabb monteringstid och att barriären ska kunna fungera lika bra på olika underlag.

Vår ambition med uppsatsen var att se om det finns ett orsakssamband mellan projekt InPUTs verksamhet och flyktingars förändrade levnadsvillkor efter ett permanent uppehållstillstånd (PUT). Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie kombinerad med kvantitativ statistik, under arbetet har vi triangulerat metoderna för att underlätta analysen. Vi har använt en frågeguide med några teman, och samlat in vårt material i en halvstrukturerad intervjuform. Vi har förutom nio flyktingar intervjuat fyra personal från projekt InPUT samt en personal från Rosengrenska Stiftelsen. Uppsatsens ska belysa vilka faktorer som på individ-, grupp-, och samhällsnivå påverkar flyktingars liv samt söka härleda om projekt InPUT är en av framgångsfaktorerna. I uppsatsen ämnar vi även undersöka vad mer som samverkar för att flyktingar skall få en bra tillvaro med goda levnadsvillkor i Sverige. För att kunna göra kopplingar till våra begrepp förändringsprocesser och levnadsvillkor har vi använt oss av teorier från socialt arbete med inriktning mot systemteori.

Visby is a city that at first glance is of medieval origins. The popular image of scientists today is that the city was formed in the Middle Ages. According to some of the researchers Visby was formed during the Viking Age, it is based on the basis that the area has been used for a long period. Urban development in the Nordic countries is complex and there are different opinions as to why the Nordic cities emerge. It is important to shed light on the underlying process on why cities are emerging to provide clarity as to why Visby city is emerging.

I denna uppsats har jag tagit reda på hur klimatförändringarna i framtiden kan komma att drabba Kalmar. Syftet med uppsatsen var att förklara för läsarna hur klimatförändringarna visar sig, hur de kan påverka städer och dessutom se hur de olika organisationerna som agerar inom kommunen och länet har planerat för detta och vilka kunskaper de har. Uppsatsen är skriven med en kvalitativ explanativ metod. Med hjälp av olika personer som jobbar inom berörda organisationer har jag kommit fram till att det största problemet som kan uppstå på grund av klimatförändringarna är översvämningar och stormar. Då Kalmar är en gammal stad som är uppbyggd nästan precis i strandkanten så skulle en permanent höjning av vattennivån medföra att stora områden i Kalmars centrala delar skulle kunna hamna under vatten.
