Denna uppsats behandlar den skattefinansierade Hälso- och Sjukvårdens ambitioner att, med befintliga resurser, kunna erbjuda en god Hälso- och Sjukvård. Beställarutförarmodellen är en modell med vilken offentliga organisationer försökt föra in ett marknadsorienterat synsätt i sina verksamheter. Modellen blev populär hos Sveriges landsting under en period då den skattefinansierade Hälso- och Sjukvården anklagades för att vara alltför kostnadskrävande i relation till vad den frambringade i form av Hälso- och Sjukvårdstjänster. Under den förhållandevis korta period modellen har varit i praktiskt bruk ute i landstingen, har två utvecklingar av den kunnat skönjas. Den ortodoxa Stockholmsmodellen, som betonar formalitet och konkurrens, samt Bohusmodellen som tar tydligt avsteg från Beställarutförarmodellens grundprinciper genom att framhålla samverkan och partnerskap som främsta attribut.

The student union of Karlstad University is always working for the better for the students, so they can feel safe and that their time at the university is trouble free. To get the students to sign up for a membership, the organization have to inform the students about their work and the benefits that a membership brings. The problem is that the target audience is broadbecause there are all students at Karlstad University that are of different sexes, ages and nationalities, this can cause problems when the information must be adapted to each individual in order to make it interesting. The organizations various work areas have not reached the entire audience and therefore requires an information film in which all the areas can be presented in an attractive way that makes it easy for the audience to absorb the information. A strong trend in the world of information films are the so called infographics.

Chemotherapy is one of the most important methods of treatment available today for the treatment of neoplastic diseases and gives many patients an increased quality of life and a prolonged survival time (McKnight, 2003). The object of this study was to find out more about owners? views on and experiences of chemotherapy of dogs when it comes to for example quality of life, side effects and if they would make the same decision and treats their dog again in the future. A questionnaire was in the spring of 2009 sent out to the owners of 100 dogs that had been treated with chemotherapy for neoplastic diseases at Universitetsdjursjukhuset, Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet (SLU) in Uppsala between 2002 and 2008. The response rate was 67 %.

A reform of higher education in Sweden in 1993 led to stiffer competitive climate among educational institutions. The reform meant that educational institutions now had the opportunity to plan their curriculum autonomously. Prior to the reform educational planning was restricted to the Swedish government. The new rules spelled a greater opportunity for educational institutions to profile themselves based on their educational offerings. The higher degree of competition means that marketing becomes increasingly important when recruiting new students.

Piglet survival is a problem of great significance in pig production, affecting both animal welfare and economic aspects negatively. In Sweden it is illegal to use farrowing crates for sows on regular basis. To encounter this problem there is a proposal of an animal welfare program to allow the use of crates for sows during, and a number of days after, farrowing. The proposal aims to reduce piglet mortality and improve pig welfare. This present review aims to analyse how crating affects the welfare of sows, gilts and piglets as well as piglet mortality.

The aim with the thesis is to get deeper knowledge in one of the subjects botany, livestock technology or economy. I have chosen to get deeper knowledge in how to store potatoes. How are you going to act to keep the quality on the potato during the storage, with a minimum of weight lost? My aim with this thesis is to get a view over how the potato act in storage space. The workplace is for many associated with joy and commitment, for others it is associated with fatigue, inadequacy and cynicism that is explained as the three dimensions of burnout. A general view of burnout is that it is an individual problem that many companies ignore, because a preventive task does not generate immediate profits. This has been a growing problem for years. Burnout costs not only money but also time and knowledge. Unfortunately, the popular belief is that "If it ain?t broke, don?t fix it." Organizations that think this way are sacrificing future benefits for short-term gains.

Every year many dogs in Sweden are bitten by the adder, a venomous snake (Vipera berus). Despite the fact that adder bites are so common in dogs there have been few investigations made that study the effects of treatment with glucocorticoids, a drug that is commonly used. We have carried out a literature study concerning adder bites in dogs and a prospective study where case history, clinical signs and treatment have been recorded in dogs that were presented at two veterinary hospitals after a confirmed or suspected adder bite. Fifty three dogs were included in the study out of which 22 were treated with glucocorticoids. In our study, the group of dogs treated with glucocorticoids was compared with the group of dogs that did not receive glucocorticoid treatment by the owner or on arrival at the clinic.

The marketing strategies discussed in today?s literature are often developed for larger compa-nies and are therefore poorly fitted for smaller businesses with little resources, such as the small resort Enaforsholm Fjällgård in Jämtland. Hence, this paper focuses on presenting and discussing the marketing strategy storytelling and whether it is applicable to Enaforsholm Fjällgård. This mountain resort was given to the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA) in 1937 as a trust fund to be managed in the spirit of the grantor A.W. Bergsten.

The main purpose of this essay is on one hand to try to find and explain the formula of success of the rock group Status Quo, and on the other to elucidate and explain the foundation and essence in the music made by Status Quo, but also to study how, if and why the foundation and essence have changed over the years. The method of investigation is partly based on a musical analysis of three albums from three different periods: Hello! (1973), Ain´t Complaining (1988) and Heavy Traffic (2002), and partly on a sociological study of the group?s career between 1962 and today, 2005.The first part of the essay concerns the period between 1962-1973 with an analysis of the album Hello!; the second part concerns the period 1974-1988 and the album Ain´t Complaining; finally, the third part concerns the years between 1989-2002 with an intensified analysis of the album Heavy Traffic. In the forth part of the essay I discuss the career of Status Quo from a sociological point of view.I run to the conclusion that the essence of Status Quo is the boogie-woogie comp on Fender guitar by Rick Parfitt, the riff on Francis Rossis´ Fender guitar in combination with the base, the piano and the drums. This has been the essence through all the years, even though it was more difficult to apprehend it during the 1980s.
