Att uppleva oro och Ängest inför en operation Àr vanligt och kan manifestera sig sÄvÀl psykologiskt som fysiologiskt hos patienten. Flertalet mÀtinstrument och omvÄrdnadsÄtgÀrder existerar, med syfte att finna och lindra oro och Ängest. Avsikten med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt var att beskriva omvÄrdnadsÄtgÀrder för att lindra patienters preoperativa oro och Ängest. Genom litteratursökning i sex databaser, bland annat PubMed, CINAHL och Psychinfo, framkom fyra kategorier av interventioner: Att fÄ information via video: Att fÄ skriftlig eller muntlig information: Att lyssna pÄ musik och: Att fÄ kÀnna vÀrme eller beröring. Resultatet visade att samtliga omvÄrdnadsÄtgÀrder mer eller mindre lindrade oro och Ängest, dÀr relationen mellan patient och vÄrdgivare, och individanpassade interventioner var viktiga, exempelvis dÄ musiksmak hade betydelse, eller att viss information inte var nödvÀndig.

Musikalisk prestationsÄngest (MPA) Àr ett vanligt förekommande problem bland musiker och kan i vissa fall omöjliggöra en karriÀr som musiker. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att utvÀrdera en 5 sessioners behandling med Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) för MPA. Resultatet Àr lovande, 7 av 8 deltagare fullföljde behandlingen och flera deltagare fick förbÀttringar pÄ sÄvÀl ACT-relaterade mÄtt som pÄ mÄtt för MPA. Abstract 1.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects whole body vibrations on maximal strength, power output and neuromuscular activity in m. pectoralis major during bench press.Participants consisted of 35 male and 9 female military high school students (m=23, 1 years). On the basis of initial maximal performances in bench press the participants was divided into two experiments groups and one control group. Intervention groups performed a specifically designed push up program on a vibrating plate respectively a step board during 12 weeks Initial load at 60 % of 1 RM showed an average of 46, 5 kg. All groups showed an average increase of 13 kg for each person after 12 weeks.

This thesis is performed in cooperation with Prodelox AB and JTI (Swedish Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering). The purpose of the project is to generate and develop a WC-technique with a closet sewer that keeps a higher TS-substance than 1.5 %. The WC-technique is mainly directed towards permanent households in sparsely-populated areas and cabins. The goal is to generate concepts of toilets with an extremely low use of water in terms of flushing. The design should be appealing and touch more senses than only the visual.

Today's technology offers a variety of opportunities to interact with the interactive systems. Human-Computer Interaction in the last decade is the area of research that has contributed the most to this development. But how is this interaction perceived? The user experience is something that is formed by the interaction between human and the computer interactive systems. The objective of this thesis is to investigate how the user experience differs depending on how one interacts with a game.

This report describes my degree project. For my degree project I made a demo for a game idea that I've developed, and implemented for use with Xbox 360. The idea was about converting the feeling and gameplay of old 2D side-scrolling platform games into 3D, viewed from a first-person perspective. The Xbox 360 version of the demo was also submitted for the game competition Swedish Game Awards. In the report, I explain this idea more extensive, what software I used to implement it, and how I implemented it. Finally, at the end I clarify the results and discuss fulfilled tasks and future improvements.

The aim writing this essay is to understand and to explain difficulties with communications during sign language interpreting at the Video Relay Service (VRS). Another aim is also to identify the necessery conditions for communications at the VRS and to investigate why difficulties may arise in lack of these necessary conditions. The questions of this essay are: Which are the vital important difficulties in communication at the VRS and why do these difficulties arise?To answer these questions, four sign language interpreters working with the VRS, have been interviewed. These interviews constitute the empirical data of the essay.

In developing countries such as Vietnam the population consumes more animal products for example milk and meat than before which requires greater livestock production. Ruminants contributes to more methane emission which creates a dilemma between food production and its environmental impact. By feeding ruminants with nutritive crops which humans can not assimilate the animal performance will increase in terms of better growth and milk production without inpinging on food that can be consumed directly by humans. Increasing animal performance reduces methane emission in terms of amount of methane in kg-1 milk and meat which today is much greater in developing countries than developed countries. The aim of the study was to investigate tropical tannin-rich legumes for their potential as a feed supplement for ruminants made in vitro.

Difficult calvings and stillbirths are problems in Swedish dairy production that result in large expenses for the farmers and welfare issues concerning the animals. A common opinion is that the live weight of SRB and SLB is increasing, and whether increased weights have caused the increase in calving problems has been discussed. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the relative birth weight (calf/cow) and calving difficulty and stillbirth, respectively. The importance of breed and parity for the relative weight has been investigated, and comparisons with previous studies have been made to evaluate whether the relative weight has changed over the last decades or not. The study was based on 807 calvings, registered during the period 1993-2003 in the experimental dairy herd of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (JĂ€lla).
