Ulrich, Kaplan & Kaplan, among others, has shown in their research that nature can reduce stress and decrease the after effects of stress. Lund University Hospital, USiL, is a big working place and has a large number of patients. To be a patient often means that you lose control of your daily life which could cause stress. For the personnel high workload can be a stress factor.

Detta innebär att konsultchefer kan ha det svårt att motivera sina konsulter, eftersom de utför sitt arbete på olika platser. Syftet med detta arbete är att identifiera och analysera konsultchefers uppfattning av motivationsbehovet hos sina anställda i bemanningsföretag. Två forskningsfrågor har undersökts: Forskningsfråga #1: Hur uppfattar konsultchefer vikten av inre motivation hos konsulter inom bemanningsbranschen? Forskningsfråga #2: Vilka verktyg använder sig konsultchefer av för att motivera sina konsulter?Metod: Vi genomförde intervjuer med öppna svarsalternativ som kvalitativ metod med en induktiv utgångspunkt för att uppfylla syftet.

This thesis treats the topic of user-generated comments connected with news stories on news sites, meaning electronic word-of-mouth combined with PR. The writers have examined how different types of comments affect consumers' Perception of the article and also what communication effects these comments generate in terms of attitudes, purchase intent and word-of-mouth intent. The results interesting to the news site owners, is that lots of comments and negative comments generate a negative effect by making the actual article less credible, attractive and worth reading (relative to the subsequent comments). On the positive side, serious comments imply that the news story is perceived as more interesting, than a news story followed by non-serious comments. From a brand equity perspective, the interesting results show that few comments compared to lots of comments, generate a better attitude to the brand, even though there is no difference in how positive or negative the comments are.

Smärtskattning med CPOT inom neurokirurgisk intensivvård

Bakgrund: Sederade eller medvetslösa patienter kan inte verbalt kommunicera sin smärta. Smärta är svårt för sjukvårdspersonalen att bedöma om beteendebaserade smärtskattningsinstrument inte är implementerade. Forskning har visat att neurokirurgiska intensivvårdspatienter upplevt moderat till svår smärta under vårdtiden på intensivvårdsavdelningen och denna smärta har underbehandlats. Critical-Care Pain Observation Tool (CPOT) är ett smärtskattningsinstrument som nyligen validerats i Sverige för att kunna användas inom intensivvården på icke kommunikativa vuxna patienter, dock har neurokirurgiska intensivvårdspatienter exkluderats vid valideringen.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka intensivvårdssjuksköterskans uppfattning om CPOTs användbarhet inom neurokirurgisk intensivvård.Metod: Mixed-method enkätstudie. En implementering av ett beteendebaserat smärtskattningsinstrument.Resultat: Elva sjuksköterskor inom neurokirurgisk intensivvård deltog.

Motivation och arbetstillfredsställelse i ett monotont arbete : En kvantitativ fallstudie gjord på kassamedarbetare på Ica Kvantum och Coop Forum

Motivation, in an organizational context, is about whether the employees feel that their work is worthwhile, satisfactory and that there are opportunities for further development within the organization. However, motivation can be affected by a number of factors that originate from the employees? characteristics, the characteristics of the situation and the individuals Perception of that situation. A factor that could lead to a low level of motivation is if the employee feels that his work is monotonous.Thus the purpose was to study the factors that lead to motivation and job satisfaction in a working environment that generally is considered monotonous and dull by investigating the target group cashiers at two Swedish grocery stores called Ica Kvantum and Coop Forum.In this study a quantitative method was used by the design of a questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to get a general idea of the factors that the respondents consider motivating in their work.The results and the analysis of the questionnaire show that you really cannot make any general conclusions since there are many different factors that lead to motivation depending on who you are as an individual and in what phase of life one finds oneself.

Background: Theoretical, it?s been questioned why dividends exists in companies based upon the fact that there is a separation between ownership and control. According to the agency theoretical Perception, dividends is used as a manner to unify the interest of this separation, which in turn lower the agency cost, and increase the efficiency of companies.Purpose: The aim of this master thesis is to scrutinize and analyse the association between Swedish firms? owner structure and owner types and their inclination to dividend.Method: We attack the problem with a hypothetical-deductive research method by using the existence of a universal theory, the agency theory. From our theoretical framework we propose a set of hypotheses.

Borta bra, men hemma bäst? : En studie om ledarskap i en interkulturell kontext

The aim of this thesis is to create an understanding about how and to what extent a Swedish expatriate manager needs to adapt his/her leadership in accordance with the culture of the host country. Thus shall different managers? Perceptions of experienced management overseas be studied. To accomplish our aim, three different problems have been designed. These are as follows: In what way does the manager?s earlier experiences and knowledge about expatriation affect her or his leadership in a new cross-cultural context? How does the culture of the host country affect the expatriate manager?s leadership? How does the expatriate manager handle contradictory demands: that is differences in expectations from subordinates and the higher management? We have chosen to use an abductive approach in order to do a qualitative study and we have therefore conducted eight case studies to create a foundation for distinguishing patterns.The case studies are based on eight Swedish managers with experience from expatriation. The theoretical framework is structured upon three main themes including; knowledge and skills a global leader needs to possess, the relation between the leader and subordinates, and contradictory demands.

Auditiva tolkningssvårigheter är ett vanligt funktionshinder med stora negativa konsekvenser förbarnets språkutveckling. En omfattande forskning har visat på långtgående följder av barnsauditiva svårigheter, men kunskapen når inte alltid ut till pedagogerna i skolan. Perceptionsnedsättningenär ofta medfödd, men symptomen hos små barn kan vara otydliga och misstolkasdärför lätt. Alltför många upptäcks inte i tid och somliga inte alls och om lärarna inte har kunskapom funktionshindret, så finns det stor risk för att barnen inte får rätt hjälp.Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka, hur följderna av en auditiv Perceptionsstörning påverkarden dagliga skolsituationen och även att ta reda på, om tecken på auditiva svårigheter märks redanunder förskoletiden, då man har möjlighet att gå in med åtgärder för att förebygga kommandeskolsvårigheter. Ett övergripande syfte är förstås också, att synliggöra funktionshindret för attdärmed försöka öka förståelsen för drabbade barns situation.

Brand equity in the industrial purchase decision : a case study of the Swedish market for agricultural machinery

High brand equity is a great asset for companies that operate their business in a free and competitive market. Brand equity can arise from both product-related and non-product related attributes and may be viewed from many different perspectives. This study examines which different attributes that contribute to enhance brand equity from customers point of view at the Swedish market for agricultural machinery. The study have been developed using a comprehensive literature search in order to investigate the field regarding brand equity and brand image. The literature review results in one product specific and one non-product specific approach in order to examine factors that contribute to enhanced brand equity. This takes the form as one survey-based approach regarding the non-product related attributes which is examined by interpreting the extra value added by different attributes.
