This thesis presents a general definition of science education and earth science education.An inventory has been conducted of published material during the years 2011-2013, withthe start in 2013 and working backwards for international publications and with no timelimits in time for Swedish publications. Different databases were used during April 2013 forthe inventory.The thesis organizes and analyses published material in earth science education in a tablewith a following discussion.The purpose with the inventory was to investigate the amount and content ofprevious year?s publications in earth science education. Concept inventories were foundto be the most common subject of the found material, followed by virtual field studies. Thelargest amount of publications was published in North America.

In this paper, generic reference in a collection of juridical texts is examined, with focus on third person singular pronouns. The object of the study is to find out which generic pronouns occur in the material along with their relative distribution, but also to display further use patterns and to offer plausible explanations for these patterns. Another object is to evaluate whether the use of generic pronouns corresponds with language planners? recommendations for non-sexist language. The corpus studied consists of Rikspolisstyrelsens författnings­samling (?Statute Book of the Swedish National Police Board?), comprising 172 documents written between 1974 and 2009.The study is divided into two parts.

The intervention consisted of the information material Sugen på sömn. There were five participants whom three of them participated in the second interview. The interviews were processed by content analysis.Results: Health professionals´ experience of giving advice on sleep was summarized in three themes. The experiences of giving advice in interaction with parents, health professional themselves experienced the power to influence the parents with the advice they gave, while the parents' previous experience and knowledge impacted on how the advice came into practice.

Forskningsintresset har sitt fokus på barns delaktighet och möjlighet att skapa mening i kommunikation i förskolan. Våra frågeställningar som ska hjälpa oss att nå fram till vårt syfte är: ? Hur uppfattar några förskollärare sina sätt att erbjuda barn digitala medier att uttrycka sig genom? ? Hur uppfattar några förskollärare barns möjlighet att skapa mening i kommunikation genom att använda digitala medier?  Studien är en kvalitativ undersökning där intervjuer gjorts med sex förskollärare på sex olika förskolor. Vi har utgått från socialsemiotiken som teoretiskt ramverk.

The purpose of this project has been to cut production costs for the fascia panels ofGetinge?s largest autoclaves. The cost for the stainless steel plates currently used is veryhigh. An alternative material solution could cut costs significantly.In addition, improvements have been made to the instrument tower which is a central partof the fascia panel. The aim of this Master?s Thesis is to study readers and authors of Harry Potter fan fiction, in order to answer the question of why they read and write fan fiction about Harry Potter, and which factors determine what kind of fan fiction stories they read. The empirical material consists of three qualitative interviews with fan fiction readers and authors, and a textual analysis of four internet forums for discussions about Harry Potter and fan fiction. The theoretical background is based on reception theory and reader-response criticism. The results show, that commitment to, and interest in, the source material is an important reason as to why the participants of the study read and write Harry Potter fan fiction.

När Skolinspektionen granskade skolors arbete med värdegrund i Sverige fann de att vissa segregerade skolor präglades av en trygg miljö men att eleverna där kunde visa en slags skenbar lojalitet. Vid observationer och intervjuer med eleverna kunde man finna åsikter som stred mot värdegrunden men som inte alltid kom upp till ytan. Den insikten utgör motivet till den här studien. Syftet är att bidra med kunskap om hur lärare vid en svensk utlandsskola uppfattar arbetet med värdegrund med avseende på alla människors lika värde, jämställdhet och solidaritet. En kvalitativ studie har genomförts för att söka svar på forksningsfrågorna: Hur kopplar lärare värdegrundsarbetet till sin egen undervisning? Hur tolkar och prioriterar lärare värdegrundsarbete med avseende på alla människors lika värde, jämställdhet och solidaritet? Vilka mönster kan man finna i lärarnas förhållningssätt till värdegrundsarbetet? Analysen av de kvalitativa intervjuer, som gjorts med lärare som undervisar på en svensk utlandskola, tar sin utgångspunkt i kritisk mångkulturell teori och i normkritisk pedagogisk teori.

The purpose of this paper is to examine what opinions parents have of the after school-centre, if they know that it has an objective and what that objective is. This will be examined by surveying parents with children in after school-centre. The questions posed in the study are as follows: Do parents know the objective of after school-centre? What is the general view of after school-centre among parents? The results show that 41 percent know that there is an objective while 39 percent don't. Only 6 percent can describe what the objective is.

Vattentäthet och ?andning? är två eftersträvade komfortegenskaper hos funktionsplagg idag. Utveckling pågår kontinuerligt och nya material dyker ständigt upp på marknaden. Syftet med studien är att ur ett Vygotskijperspektiv skildra förskollärares syn på barns samspel och samlärande samt vilken syn de har på sin egen roll i detta sammanhang. Studien utgår från följande frågeställningar: Vilka uppfattningar har förskollärare om samspel och samlärande hos förskolebarn? Hur ser förskollärare på den pedagogiska miljöns betydelse för att främja samlärande och samspel? Hur beskriver de sin egen roll i barns samarbete och samlärande? I studien intervjuas fem verksamma förskollärare på tre olika förskolor. Det visar sig att nästan alla känner till Vygotskij och delar av hans teorier och en förskollärare har även honom som förebild. Resultatet visar att de på många sätt arbetar efter hans teorier men att ibland saknas en medvetenheten om det.

Earlier quantitative entrepreneurial studies with a focus on poverty rate has centred their arguments and analyses entirely on income differences which has resulted in a high poverty rate among self-employed. Their results shows that variables such as age, gender, hours of labour and structure of the household significantly affect the poverty rate among self-employed. In this study we aim the focus on material living standards instead of income differences, thus using a more representative approach while studying entrepreneurial poverty. The purpose of the study was to examine how personality traits (big five) affect the material living standards among the self-employed in Sweden, using a group of employed as a control group. Variables earlier known to affect the poverty risk among self-employed where used as control variables together with education and household income.
