The objective with this essay is to establish the benefits of inserting media as an obligatory topic in the upper secondary school. In order to succeed with this I will not only type this essay I will also produce a medial production in the form of a film.  I have interviewed two senior masters on Södertörns College where I have reviewed different questions that relate to the matter's weight in school values and the society. In the study I will also reflect over existing research within the area and to link these to the issue and those interviewed opinions. Leadership is essential for every company. Its strength or weakness of direction, clarity, and evaluation affects success or failure of its organization. With the complex structure of the big and global companies today leadership is more challenging. The traditional view of leadership, with the single individual possessing all the competences and skills, is therefore being challenged by an alternative way of leadership, a shared leadership. Existing research on the subject is still scarce, which makes further studies in this field important.

This thesis is an attempt to study computer games and playful computer programs for childrenand youth at Swedish public libraries. The main method used, is qualitative interviews.The main reason the libraries in the study offer computer games and playful computer programsto their users, is that every member of the society shall have opportunity to use newtechnology such as computers and computer programs. The users of this media are for themost part boys. The librarians in our study wish to have pedagogical games and programswithout violent themes at their libraries. Ett språk för alla? : en kvalitativ studie av ett antal pedagogers syn på sinanvändning av IKT-verktyg i den tidiga läs- och skrivinlärningen

The aim of this study is to investigate a number of class teachers' thoughts on the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in early literacy learning. The study has been conducted as a qualitative study, interviewing five teachers with the help of an interview guide. Three central questions were posed.What perception do the teachers have about the use of ICT in their tuition?What perception do the teachers have about the pupils' literacy learning in teaching with ICT tools?What perception do the teachets have about teaching and learning by means of ICT when it comes to pupils with reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia?The overall theoretical basis of the study is Vygotskij's sociocultural theory.In conclusion, the result of the study is as follows.Most class teachers feel that the training they have undergone in ICT education was adequate, but they also call for skill development.Most teachers believe that the use of ICT tools provide opportunities to adapt their teaching to pupils' knowledge level. The teachers' opinion is that ICT in teaching is useful for pupils' progress in early literacy learning.Most teachers also believe that ICT tools in teaching can be of some help for pupils with reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia.One obstacle in helping these pupils is lack of time.Therefore, the majority of the teachers hand these pupils over to special education outside the classroom..

My essay begins with a story in which I portray different communicative situations at the preschool unit Myran. The children in my story are at an early stage of development and they all suffer from multiple disabilities which inhibit their ways of communicating. Through my story, I describe how I perceive different communication dilemmas in my work place. Röntgensjuksköterskans användning av sin kompetens vid ordination och prioritering av remisser

Röntgensjuksköterskans yrkesroll har i tidigare forskning beskrivits utifrån två unikakompetenser: den vårdgivande och den radiografiskt tekniska. Behoven i den kliniska vardagenstyr den professionella utvecklingen och kan leda till en förskjutning av ansvarsområden.Syftet med studien var att undersöka och identifiera vilken kompetens röntgensjuksköterskornaanvändning av kompetens vid ordination och prioritering.Frågeställningarna: Vilken kompetens använder sig röntgensjuksköterskan sig av vid utförandeav utökade arbetsuppgifter? Vilken kompetens anser sig röntgensjuksköterskan behöva vidutökade arbetsuppgifter? Har nya unika kompetensområden tillkommit utöver de som tidigaredefinierat för professionen?Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med legitimerade röntgensjuksköterskor ochanalyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.I resultatet framkom fyra kategorier: Medicinsk kompetens, Professionell kompetens,Individuella förutsättningar och Praktiska förutsättningar.Medicinsk kompetens är ett kompetensområde för röntgensjuksköterskor som synliggjorts idenna studie. En gynnsam förskjutning av ansvarsområden är inte enbart beroende av denenskilda röntgensjuksköterskans kompetens utan också ett verksamhetsstöd i form av tid,tydlig delegering samt en arbetsmiljö, där interprofessionell kommunikation och feedback ären naturlig del, vilket krävs för att denna utveckling skall gynna alla inblandade..

Små rum i rummet, om hur pedagoger i två praktiker ser på hur barn påverkas av sin förskolas fysiska innemiljö

BAKGRUND:I bakgrunden beskrivs tidigare forskning kring förskolans miljöer. Hur den svenska försko-lans miljöer sett ut och ser ut idag. Jag beskriver också Reggio Emilia filosofins uppkomst samt dess tankar om förskolans miljöer.SYFTE:Syftet för undersökningen är att ta reda på och redovisa hur miljön på hur en förskola inspi-rerad av Reggio Emilia och en förskola utan inriktning ser ut, samt hur pedagogerna på des-sa två förskolor ser på betydelsen av den fysiska innemiljön för barns utveckling och läran-de.METOD:Metoden består av att en övergripande self-report fråga lämnats ut till 12 pedagoger i två olika praktiker, en förskola med Reggio Emilia inriktning och en förskola utan speciell in-riktning. Datainsamlingen har analyserats enligt en kvalitativ ansats och kompletterats med observationer av de fysiska miljöerna (gjorda löpande under fem veckors tid).RESULTAT:Resultatet har visat pedagogernas tankesätt kring sin förskolas fysiska innemiljöer. Det visar vidare likheter och skillnader mellan de två praktikernas innemiljöer och likheter och skill-nader i pedagogernas tankesätt..

Fyra specialpedagogers uppfattningar av elever med diagnosen dyskalkyli : En exporativ studie av fyra specialpedagoger

This thesis examines some special education teachers with experiences of childrendiagnosed with dyscalculia. Problems with mathematics at school may occur to allchildren in all schools. It is therefore important that the teacher knows the variousdisabilities that teachers may encounter. The study is based on four randomlyselected special education teachers, all-working at schools that are related to amedium-sized Swedish town. This work will immerse in the knowledge ofdyscalculia among four special education teachers.The interviews revealed that all special education teachers felt that dyscalculiainvolves specific difficulties in mathematics, their views on dyscalculia is consistentwith current research.

The purpose of this two years master´s thesis in Archive, Library and Information Museum science is to examine the ideas about children and childhood which have an influence on the storytime at public libraries. The material on which this thesis is based, is a methodbook which is aimed to develop the storytimes and those picture books that are recommend in the methodbook. The theoretical points of departure are discourse analysis and childhood sociology. The concepts of being and becoming are frequently used when analyzing the methodbook. Other theoretical points of departure are the combination of narratologi, semiotics and hermeneutics, which are also used when analyzing the picture books.The result indicates that the storytime, recommended in the methodbook, is based on the idea of a timeless culture of childhood - where the "modern child" including the media used today - is left out. Concepts as nostalgia and pedagogy are tightly connected.

Barnskötare eller förskollärare : Är det egentligen någon skillnad?

My purpose with this essay was to study if there was any difference in competence between preschool teachers and child minders at a preschool outside of Stockholm. To determine what the differences consisted of, if there was any. The questions I wanted answered were as follows: Are there any differences in competence between preschool teachers and child minders? Do the two different occupations have different ways at looking at what the children need and their abilities? Do they see that they have different skills depending on what occupation they belong to? What do they believe that the people from the other occupation contribute to the preschool which compliments their own working skills?I used a qualitative method which included interviews and observations to find out the answers to these questions. My results from these interviews and observations indicated that experience, personality and attitudes are very important as well as education.

Intersektionalitet som pedagogiskt redskap? Ett nedslag i genuspedagogiska metodmaterial

Studiens syfte är att undersöka om ett intersektionellt perspektiv är integrerat i de två metodböcker som materialet består av; BRYT! från RFSL Ungdom och Tjejgruppskompassen från United Sisters. Detta undersöks genom att en diskursanalys av metodböckerna utförs utifrån Ernesto Laclaus och Chantal Mouffes diskursteori. Även en bildanalys görs av en del av materialet som består av bilder. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna i studien är ett intersektionellt perspektiv på genus, samt de teoretiska antaganden som ligger titt grund för diskursteorin. Resultatet visar på att ett intersektionellt perspektiv existerar i BRYT!, men är frånvarande i Tjejgruppskompassen..

Pedagogisk lek i förskolan : En samtalsanalytisk studie av pedagogens roll i olika lekaktiviteter

Play is an important part of children´s everyday life, it is through play children develop. Play occurs a lot in kindergarten and in this study, the aim is to examine how play activities play is used in preschool teaching and the role of the teacher´s in the play. Video recordings of play activities done and qualitative methods (conversation analysis) has been used to analyze the video recordings. The results of this study show that play are widely used as a pedagogical tool in preschool. It is through play children develop.

Pedagogers uppfattningar om barns inflytande ur ett genusperspektiv : Flickors respektive pojkars inflytande i förskolans vardag ur ett genusperspektiv

The purpose of this examination was to make a qualitative study focusing on children's influence from a gender perspective. The study is based on interviews. We wanted to investigate teachers' perception of children's influence in the preschool.Earlier research on children´s influence and gender has also helped us in the conclusion of this examination.The survey consists of ten interviews with teachers of varied work experience in the preschool. We also chose to interview teachers in other positions, since this is often the case in preschools today. From the result we can see that there are different levels of skill and awareness regarding the topic of children's influence from a gender perspective.

En uppföljning av ett integrationsprogram i Falköping

Den här studien undersöker ett integrationsprogram i Falköpings kommun i Sverige. Studien visar integrationsprogrammet ur en vetenskaplig synvinkel och undersöker hur framgångsrikt programmet är, baserat på programmets syfte, som är att öka självförsörjandegraden bland invandrare i Falköping. Syftet med denna studie är att om möjligt kunna förbättra och förändra det pedagogiska arbetet i integrationsprogrammet i Falköping, och därmed öka chansen till självförsörjning för deltagarna i integrationsprogrammet. Deltagarna i integrationsprogrammet har också gett sina synpunkter på de pedagogiska insatserna genom en enkätundersökning och några av deltagarna har också deltagit i personliga intervjuer. Resultatet av studien visar att kommunens måluppfyllelse är god.

Att verbalisera matematiken : en studie om matematik och språk i förskoleklass

Background: Mathematics is a subject that many students perceive as difficult. In recent years, results in mathematics declined, while many students have difficulties in the subject of Swedish. However, there is not much research on the relationship between difficulties in mathematics and language weaknesses.Purpose: The purpose of this work is to find out what role the advocate competence of learning opportunities for the students to understand mathematics. A further aim of this work is to find out how mathematics is verbalized and individualized in preschool and find out how teachers in those classes describes how they work to verbalize and individualize mathematics.Method: The purpose is answered by observations in preschool and interviews of the teachers working in the observed classes. The empirical data are discussed and analyzed with theories related to children's learning and literature of mathematics and language.Result: The results show that mathematics is extensively verbalized in preschool classes.
