This report is the documentation of a project in the education Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. The project was carried out at Alfakonsult AB. The purpose of the project was to map out the transference of information between the different operators in the supply chain of medicine in Sweden and to analyse this in order to reduce lead-time and the total throughputtime. The supply chain of medicine in Sweden consists of producers, distributors, one wholesaler, prescribers and patients. The mapping of the transference of information showed that most operators in the supply chain have done well introducing technical aids to facilitate the transference of information.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate an existing user interface. The company in question has a web-based user interface (available through logging in via their website), but they are interested in making the process of using the interface more convenient and the interface more accessible, so that users without a background in computing can properly manage the interface. At the same time they want to apply additional functionalities in order create and to manage increased traffic on the company?s website. For this reason it is important to take into account the issues involved in human-computer interaction (HCI) as well as aspects of cognitive psychology in order to make the tool and the web interface more usable, more motivational, and therefore more efficient and professional.

 This report is an evaluation of Peab's purchase and call-off system, PIA.PIA is used to order goods for Peab's construction sites. The background to the work is that users of the system have understood the system cumbersome to use when purchasing goods for construction sites. The evaluation was carried out by the interviews and tests with users of the program, in this case, supervisors and site managers at the company. Ten users of the system were interviewed and eleven people have carried out a test order.The focus is primarily on the test order that users have implemented, which has been clocked and analyzed for time and cost. The evaluation is also a user analysis concerning how the users perceive the program, mainly in terms of usability, functionality and benefits.The result of this report shows that PIA is economically profitable to use for the purchase of goods for construction sites.

Sandvik Wire needed a review of the administrative part of the order fulfillment process and especially the work around packing and the inventory of finished goods. Therefore we acquired the assignment to investigate the administrative part of the order fulfillment process in the company with the purpose to identify potential for improvement. This investigation was performed with focus on the terminal and packing functions. The purpose with the investigation was also to identify critical factors for an efficient order fulfillment process and investigate if information quality is such a factor.Data was collected through interviews and observations on Sandvik Wire. With the help of this data the information and material flows was mapped, the work within terminal and packing, and adjacent functions was investigated.

Räntesnurror innebär skatteplanering med ränteavdrag som sänker bolagsskatten och därmed skänker verksamheten en ekonomisk fördel. Forskningen fokuserar på att vidare ta reda på vad räntesnurror är, och vilka argument som finns för och emot dem. Även den nya lagstiftningen kommer att studeras, för att undersöka vilka konsekvenser den kan komma att medföra för svenska företag. Metod: Denna studie grundar sig på en kvalitativ metod, med utgångspunkt i det hermeneutiska synsättet.

I denna kandidatuppsats kommer jag att försöka förstå hur medarbetare reflekterar kring sitt egenansvar.Fallstudien utgörs av ett kommunalägt bostadsföretag som förvaltar lägenheter och lokaler. Organisationen har nyligen genomfört en omorganisering som har medfört förändringar inom organisationsstrukturen samt medarbetarnas arbetsuppgifter.Jag vill förstå hur respondenterna reflekterar kringegenansvaret i samband med en omorganisering.I studien använder jag mig av Grundad Teori som forskningsmetod och den empiriska undersökningen har genomförts som en fallstudie.Resultatet reflekterar kring de kategorier som har uppkommit och presenterar en sammanställning framkommen utifrån Grundad Teori..

I naturen har färgen på hönans (Gallus) fjädrar en betydande roll för dess överlevnad och reproduktion. I början av domesticeringen handlade det om att selektera ut individer för produktion, religiösa seder och tuppfäktning. De senaste århundradena har även det estetiska utseendet fått en större betydelse i vårt samhälle, både när det gäller färg och mönster på hönans fjäderdräkt men även när det gäller färgen på dess äggskal. Man har genom studier visat att pigmentet melanin har en betydande roll för fjädrarnas färg och mönster. Genom forskning har man kunnat identifiera olika gener som är inblandade vid uttrycket av fjäderdräktens färg och mönster och några av dessa loci är E, C och I.

Bakgrund och Problem: Att starta företag idag kräver kapital, antingen i form av sparade pengar eller genom hjälp av riskkapitalister alternativt företag som lånar ut pengar till privatpersoner som vill starta företag. När nya investeringsmöjligheter därefter skall finansieras uppstår frågan om dessa skall finansieras med internt eller externt kapital. Detta leder in på forskningen om kapitalstruktur, vilket idag är ett väldigt omfattande område. Ett antal tidigare studier presenteras som antyder vilka faktorer som påverkar ett företags val av kapitalstruktur, dessa faktorer kan till exempel vara branschtillhörighet, risk, lönsamhet, tillväxt, tillgångsstruktur och storlek. Att vara ett noterat företag i Sverige ställer krav på företagen, men presenterar även nya möjligheter till finansiering.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att analysera utvalda faktorers påverkan på skuldsättningsgraden hos svenska aktiebolag.

Purpose/Aim: The aim of this paper is to find out how the new media landscape and new communication channels is altering how companies and organizations can reach out with their messages. The aim is also to shine light on the different trends within advertising today and also to discuss the Tivo-effect ie. that consumers are doing whatever possible to avoid advertisements.Material/ Method: I have used a qualitative research method where I have interviewed a number of people working in advertising in Sweden. The paper also includes material from books, article and various websites.Main results: In order for advertising agencies to create successful advertisement and to generate positive associations around a certain brand, it?s crucial that the advertisement is relevant for the target group.

SammanfattningDetta är en teoriutvecklande uppsats som handlar om etnisk mångfald i organisationer. Här ligger fokus på politiker och chefstjänstemän i kulturnämnd/förvaltning i två medelstora kommuner i södra Sverige. Uppsatsen inleds med en debatt om etnisk mångfald. Syftet är att genom kvalitativa intervjuer med politiker och chefstjänstemän dels bidra till att öka förståelsen av begreppet etnisk mångfald samt att dels bidra till teoriutvecklingen rörande etnisk mångfald i organisationer. Teoriutvecklingen vilar på den induktiva metoden och närmare bestämt den Grundade teorin.

The purpose of this thesis is to provide a better understanding of how dairies use colour, picture and shape in order to influence customers? buying decisions of fruit yoghurt. In order to reach this purpose the research was conducted through case studies of three dairies. In this research three research questions were created with focus on the visual elements colour, picture and shape. The method of data collection was performed through interviews with dairies as well as documentations.

The purpose of this essay is to highlight the conceptions that exist in school towards homosexuality. My overall essay questions are: What rules does the school have to apply concerning homosexuality? What approach do the professors have towards young lesbian women and kind of support is offered to the group? In order to answer these questions I interviewed a professor and a young lesbian female. One of the surveys that has been made, as a normative order, about heterosexuality in the last decade is known as queer theory.One of the theories that in surveys investigates homosexuality as a normative order is known as ?queer theory? and it is the one I decided to use in this essay.Inspired by feminist research, gay and lesbian studies and the poststructuralist theory, the queertheory focuses on some peoples way of organizing sexuality is privileged, sanctioned and is perceived as normal, while others are seen as deviant, abnormal and therefore unwelcome.

The present study aimed to replicate Tversky & Kahneman's' survey of 1981 The Asian Disease Problem. A survey was conducted on the Internet (N = 200). An identical problem was added, yet with The Swine Flu as the disease. This was done to be able to investigate if there are any order effects, and also if it matters whether the mentioned disease is fictional or real. The results show the same results as Tversky & Kahneman already noted; positively and negatively framed problems generate different responses from the participants.
