I denna uppsats undersöks det potentiella sambandet mellan minskade försvarsutgifter och ett ökat försvarsmaterielsamarbete i Europa och Norden. Perioden som studeras är åren 1991-2012. Variablerna konstrueras från data hämtade från SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute) och utgörs av (i) genomsnittliga försvarsutgifter som andel av BNP, samt (ii) andelen försvarsmaterielaffärer som inkluderar samarbete vid produktion för de två grupperna av länder. I ett första steg görs en statistisk analys vars resultat visar på ett statistiskt signifikant samband mellan variablerna när det gäller de europeiska länderna, samt ett statistiskt insignifikant samband mellan variablerna för de nordiska länderna. I ett andra steg genomförs kvalitativa intervjuer i syfte att undersöka orsakerna till denna skillnad mellan de två samarbetena.

I alla tider har man byggt modeller över saker som skall byggas för att på så sätt åskådliggöra det som skall skapas. Dessa modeller hjälper till att förstå och formulera problem och lösningar, hur sammanhangen är och vilka beståndsdelar som skall ingå. Beroende på vilken typ av produkt som skall konstrueras, kommer olika modeller att få olika betydelse. En utvecklare har ofta en inre bild, en mental modell, av vilken typ av system som skall utformas. Denna bild kan vara detaljerad eller bara en avlägsen idé.

The purpose of the study was from the perspective of young people that has completed a stay at HVB-home. The respondents are between 15-21 years both boys and girls. The basic questions were: How do the respondents look upon this HVB-homes service process? How do the respondents look upon this HVB-homes service contents? How do the respondents look upon this HVB-homes service regarding available information and how the staff is available? What positive and negative experience do they have from their stay at the HVB-home? We also wish to get a picture of what is important to change to improve the quality on this HVB-home. To receive answers to those questions we formed a questionnaire.

Fast pyrolysis is a method for converting biomass into three energy rich products: char, gas and bio-oil, where the latter is most interesting.  Pyrolysis is an endothermic process where biomass is heated in an anaerobic environment and, with the right operating conditions, up to 80 %wt bio-oil can be extracted. Key parameters for fast pyrolysis are: stable reactor temperature (~500°C), short residue time for gas in the reactor (<2 s) and a very high heating rate for the biomass. Today there are several different process solutions for fast pyrolysis, where fluidized beds and rotating cones are most developed. Bio-oil has compared to fossil oil: lower heating value, low pH and also polymerizes with time. Because of this upgrading is desirable for increasing competitiveness.

This Masters thesis is concerned with the complex planning process of setting up a citizen bureau in a public library. The aim is to find out how citizen bureaux are designed and to suggest a simplified model of strategic planning. The planning process is studied from a business perspective in the library context, and this perspective is also used to study citizen bureaux and their written plans elsewhere. A combination of qualitative methods are used: observations, focus group discussions and interviews. Observations in the public library showed a great need for an environmental analysis as well as structure to the planning process.

In 2009, the Swedish Basketball Federation started a Region U15 development project in order to change the structure of the regional organization to get into a more transparent and similar operations throughout the country. My purpose is to study the attitudes to the change among the region leaders in the regional operations and evaluate the change from an organizational perspective. The study is primarily based on the following questions: What are the experiences of the change process among the region leaders in the regional organization? How involved have region leaders been in the changing process? Which are the positive and negative aspects with the regional operation today? What can be done further to develop the regional operation and to what extent do the organizational change follow general organizational theories? In my study, a qualitative method was used in terms of interviews with 8 regional leaders to understand their attitude to the project and the changing process. To analyze the results of the region leaders ?responses, a transcription have been made.
