Dekonversion och självuppfattning : En religionspsykologisk studie av dekonvertiters berättelser
This study focuses on aspects of cult experiences, given by deconverted formermembers of closed religious movements. Their testimonies were published inbooks or interviews. The aims of the study were to understand the interactionbetween the religious group and its members, living in high tension towardsmainstream society and their testimonies of altered self-esteem during attraction,membership, deconversion and defection. The purpose was to understand how aperson´s self-esteem is affected by inner mechanisms of closed religiousmovements and how these experiences affects a persons identity. Another aspectwas whether there might be differences in altered self-esteem, between those whoenlisted as adults, and those who were born into the closed religious contexts.Social Identity Theory, Sigmund Freud´s and Carl Rogers models of personal egowere used as models of interpretations.
Välbefinnande hos cancerpatienter inom palliativ vård
Syftet med studien var att beskriva hälsorelaterad livskvalitet, ångest/depression och vårdtillfredsställelse hos kvinnor med bröstcancer tidigt i sjukdomsförloppet samt att undersöka om det fanns ett samband mellan dessa aspekter. Vidare studerades förklarande bakgrundsfaktorer; demografiska, socioekonomiska och medicinska faktorer samt psykosocialt stöd. Denna tvärsnittsstudie genomfördes som en enkätstudie kompletterat med medicinska data från Regionalt register för bröstcancer i Uppsala/Örebroregionen. Totalt 1574 förfrågningar om deltagande gick ut, varav 69 % valde att delta i studien. Niohundratrettiotvå kvinnor ingick i de slutliga analyserna (59 %).

This study focuses on the use of animals in social work from the perspective of social workers. The purpose of this study is to examine social workers? experiences of animal assisted social work and how social workers view the integration of animals in various fields of social work. The research is based on a qualitative method and four semi-structured interviews were conducted with social workers. The theories incorporated in the study are Attachment Theory and Sense of Coherence (SOC).The following results are presented: Social workers are considered to have a more comprehensive understanding of clients compared to their associates who do not hold a degree in Social Work.

BackgroundNumber of patients treated with medicine that has an anticoagulation character is constantly increasing. Chronic atrial fibrillation is the most common diagnosis being treated, but other diagnoses such as venous thrombosis), pulmonary embolism, stroke, coronary stent thrombosis and arterial thrombosis treated. There are a variety of anticoagulant drugs. In Sweden Warfarin is used as standard medicine for oral anticoagulation therapy.PurposeThe purpose of this study is to examine and reflect nurses' experiences of working on anticoagulation clinic, and if he / she claims to have access to the necessary skills and resources to carry out a safe care.DesignThe study has a qualitative design with semi-structured interviews which were analyzed with an inductive approach. The interviews included six respondents.FindingsThe results showed that nurses who worked at anticoagulation Clinics had no specific training to operate these clinics.

Background: Good communication is very important for the safety of patients in emergency situations. Few studies have been conducted regarding communication among health care staff. The aim of the present study was to investigate anesthetist nurses experience of communication among health care staff during a situation of emergency in a hospital ward.Methods: The study is explorative and based on interviews with six anesthetist nurses. A qualitative content analysis was used as an analyses model.Result: The six anesthetist nurses experienced structured communication as of great importance during an emergency situation. Three main categories appeared from the material: i) the importance of the organization ii) communication structure and communication patterns and iii) education and experience with nine subcategories.

Stroke är den vanligast förekommande sjukdomen i Sverige med cirka 30 000 insjuknanden per år. Ur ett svenskt och internationellt perspektiv är stroke den största orsaken till en icke medfödd funktionsnedsättning hos vuxna individer. Motorisk funktionsnedsättning efter stroke påverkar patienters förmåga att utföra aktiviteter i dagliga livet (ADL). Det inverkar på patienters upplevelse av livet och livskvalité. En begränsning av kroppskontroll medför även en förändrad relation till kroppen.

Background:There are approximately 45 000 people in the ages over 65 years dies outside the health facilities of the hospitals in Sweden in every year. Previous research has shown lacking knowledge in taking care of the next of kin during and after a sudden death. However, conducted research has emphasized that ambulance nurses often are the next of kin?s first contact with the health care system during sudden death at home. Research has also shown that the mourning of the next of kin is affected by the ambulance nurses? way of announcing the next of kin when someone close dies.

Agerelated changes in the skin results in a diminished perception of pain and pressure and a decreased microcirculation in the skin affects its ability to adapt to injury. Occurrence of pressure sore on geriatrikal clinics are 5-10%, witch means that between five and ten thousand patients gets daily treat for pressure sores. When the patient gets a pressure sore the need for help increases. A common apprehension is that if the patient?s affects with pressure sores it?s because of deficiency in care.

The study aims to understand the underlying factor why McDonald's customers return despiteprevious failure customer experiences. Why do customers come back to the company thatcontributes to the former dissatisfaction? McDonald's attempt to maintain unceasingpurposeful emergence fail at the local level, where the customer contact occurs. McDonald'sofferings and customers' bounded rationality results in that customers are satisfied with an"ok" experience, which adds to their low expectations of McDonalds. This makes clear thatMcDonald's does not have to make an effort through constant adaptation at the local level toachieve a "great" level of satisfaction.
Sjuksköterskans uppfattning om en god död och hennes sätt att hantera situationer inom den palliativa vården : En litteraturstudie
Sammanfattning Syftet med studien är att beskriva sjuksköterskans uppfattning om vad som är en god död för patienter inom palliativ vård.Metoden är en beskrivande litteraturstudie med vetenskapliga artiklar som grund. Litteraturstudiens huvudresultat redovisas i två underrubriker; ?Sjuksköterskans uppfattningar om en god död inom palliativ vård? och ?Sjuksköterskans sätt att hantera olika situationer vid vård av patienter i livets slutskede?. Det är viktigt att att kommunikationen mellan patient och sjuksköterska fungerar på ett lämpligt sätt och att tid avsätts för samtal. Motivation, erfarenhet, struktur, diskussion och reflektion behövs för att ge god och trygg vård som leder till en värdig död. Att ge stöd till patienter och närstående är en trygghet för sjuksköterskan.

MI (motivational interviewing) is a method used in various forms of care to work with lifestyle. Aim: To map methods with intention to be used in Swedish primary care, to work with the lifestyle habits diet, physical activity, alcohol and tobacco. Method: This is a literature based study.

Backround: Many studies indicate that people with mental illness often suffer from physical illness. Many people with mental illness do not exercise even though they often have knowledge about the benefits of physical activity. Studies suggest that psychiatric patients have the desire to have an everyday life with more content. It is apparent in studies that healthcare professionals believe that it is the patients' own responsibility to keep themselves physically active.Aim: The primary objective with this study is to examine motivation and possible obstacles to exercise for persons with self-perceived mental illness and experience of psychiatric care. The secondary objective is to investigate how psychiatric care may be of importance to people with mental illness when it comes to exercise.Methods: Semi-structured interviews.
Att förstå friskvård och hälsa ur ett individperspektiv : Intervjuer med anställda inom verkstadsindustrin
The aim of this qualitative study was to give an deeper understanding of how employees in the engineering industry experienced health education and how they understood and gave meaning to the terms health and health education. The study was based on interviews with eight men and women who participated in a health education project which had been held on their workplace. When the study took place the interviewees were in the age between 28 and 58 years. The results indicate that the employees understood health as a combination of both physical and psychological factors. The positive aspects described by the interviewees based on their experiences from the project were increase physical activities and that the project had helped them to get a better diet.
"Jag såg att du såg" : En studie om lärares och skolkuratorers upplevelser och uppfattningar om självskadebeteende.
The aim of this study was trough qualitative interviews with teachers and counsellors in Swedish schools, to study their experiences and perceptions of non suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in adolescents. During the study three teachers and three counsellors who worked in four different schools were conducted. The theoretical approach that was used is Michael Polanyis theory tacit knowledge. The outcome of the study was that schools did not seem to talk about NSSI as a problem and the teachers knowledge about it had come from own experiences meeting adolescents whit NSSI. The interviewed teachers and counsellors felt it hard to define NSSI, they mainly referred it to someone who cut themselves.
